Pre-race routine:

Up at 4:20, half bagel with PB and banana. Coffee and water and we were off at 5:20.
Event warmup:

None, hit the bathrooms right before the start and waited a bit in line for the start.

Got caught in the mid/back at the start and took me ~ 1:30 to get to the line. Lots of traffic for the first 3 miles before I could pace evenly. Ran with SW for ~ 1.5 miles before the turn around. Had a nice group for 7-9 then I picked it up and brought it in strong.
What would you do differently?:

For a C-race that this was nothing. For an A-race get up front at the start and go.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked over to CL and the kids and waited for my wife and AL to come in. Did some limited stretching and later got a 5min massage From the Adams Muscular Therapy guys. Ate some pizza then later some good pancakes.

Event comments:

Great event, lots of volunteers and support. Running Zone does an great job putting this on.
