Good going out, choppy on long leg

Took time to wash off sea water, ear plug stuck in ear. Cola at T1 helped w/ burping up sea water.

Not jam ear plugs in so much.

Great bike start, lots of passing. Drank too much Gatorade b/c I used aero bottle on bars for Gatorade instead of water. Didn't have enough H2O. Bad cramping in right lower quad at end of ride. Discomfort in lower left back, prob from fighting wind. Used disc on rear.
What would you do differently?:

Keep Gatorade in rear cages or seat tube cage.

Legs were really cramping, couldn't bend over to put run shoes on until they calmed down. Everything else good.

Back off on bike to prevent cramping.

Horrible run due to quad cramping. Walked at every water stop, too full to drink any more water/gatorade.
What would you do differently?:

Better hydration on bike, less hammering on bike.

Great race, loved Galveston. Not too crazy about flat bike, but wind wasn't horrible.
