Pre-race routine:

Got up at 5:30. Cup of coffee and oatmeal. Left at 6:00. Parked, set up transition and then waited. Had some Nuun and a Clif Bar.
Event warmup:

Made circles with arms.

Swam an extra 60 yards because I kept zig-zagging. Going in wrong direction a lot. Really need more swim practice and time.
What would you do differently?:

Sight better. Practice more.
Transition 1

Very pleased with this transition. I had practiced clipping shoes into the bike in advance. I'm blessed that my feet are small and my clearance from ground is large. Didn't need rubber bands. Worked pretty well.

Nothing, good transition for me, finally!

Good bike leg for me. Would really like to get faster. I had ridden this course several times, so knew what to expect.

Keep training, more intervals and more hill practice.

Pretty good run for me. Some mud from rain the night before. Ran most of it. Was thankful not to have any cramping this time. Poured water on my core at every water stop.

Keep training.

Age and training.
