Swim
Comments: This was a good leg for me. I didn't have too much bumping and it went pretty well. What would you do differently?: Do more open water swims. Transition 1
Comments: This went okay What would you do differently?: note sure Bike
Comments: the good news, I had to get a new bike two days before the race, the bad news that didn't give me time to figure out the gears. My old 10 speed I had been using, the gears and chain broke and the new road bikes are different when it comes to shifting gears. What would you do differently?: Ride more and practice shifting gears. Also ride the course more than once, if possible. Transition 2
Comments: this was harder than I thought it would be, legs felt so heavy and was slow shifting to the run What would you do differently?: practice this transition more Run
Comments: I am not a runner, so the transition was hard for me, and my legs felt heavy and like I was running in molasses What would you do differently?: run as much as I can Post race
Warm down: walked, drank water, watched racers come in after me. Talked to friends I knew at the race. What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of time avaialabe to devout to training. Event comments: this was a great race, lots of new folks and lots of vetrans I will definitely try to do this race again next year. Last updated: 2007-07-11 12:00 AM

Since this was my first, I Went to orientation the day before.
The day of the race, I got up early, ate breakfast and got to the race in plenty of time. Parking was about a mile from the starting point, so it was a nice walk down. Frame of mind was good
put my stuff in the transition area/ got my markings and chip, watched the swimmers take off in the heats ahead of me and then it was my turn!
