stretched and did some yoga
Swim
  • 23m 37s
  • 875 yards
  • 02m 42s / 100 yards
Comments:

started at the back of the pack. Halfway through I was moving fast and had good form then my goggles got horribly foggy and I started going off course a lot. After coming back from 3 weekes of annual training without any tri training I was hurting for some swim practice so I got it on the day of the comp.
What would you do differently?:

Get more swim training in this time.
Transition 1
  • 03m 42s
Comments:

Wanted to tri using my vibrams 5-fingeer shoes for later and since my feet were still cut on the sides I needed to put the special socks on so I wouldnt reopen my cuts which took time to squeeze into the Injini socks.
What would you do differently?:

use band-aids rather than socks maybe if I wanted to shave time off.
Bike
  • 43m 12s
  • 11.2 miles
  • 15.56 mile/hr
Transition 2
  • 02m 44s
Comments:

I had to really pee, but I was lucky and quick enough to find an open john in transition and use it.
Run
  • 29m 57s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 09m 38s  min/mile
Comments:

slowed down when my HR would get high and walked when I would grab a water to help lower it also
Post race
Warm down:

walked around got snubbed by the team in training people

What limited your ability to perform faster:

time to train, annual training at inconvenient dates

Event comments:

my second tri from jack and adams in the Texas tri series was a good one
