Pre-race routine:

It was pouring rain so my planned routine went out the window. Had a nice breakfast and got to event in plenty of time. They had actual bathrooms open to the public which was very nice.

Tried to swim a bit but only got in about 100 yards.

Comments:

My first race with a wetsuit on. I had a panic attack that lasted about 5 minutes. Was able to back stroke a bit. Very strange
What would you do differently?:

Get in lots more open water swim with a wetsuit. Dont forget your clear goggles on a dark and rainy day. It was like swimming in the dark with my dark goggles on.
