Pre-race routine:

Got to bike and set it up, with T1 bag placed and headed to swim start
Event warmup:

Forced to skip the pre swim cause goggle strap broke and had to rig it up.
Swim
  • 50m 27s
  • 3862 meters
  • 01m 19s / 100 meters
Comments:

It was a good swim, first point to point and enjoyed it
What would you do differently?:

Cant say check goggles cause I did, both in hotel night before, race morning and before leaving my bag where spare pair was. Just had to deal with and hope they held
Transition 1
  • 06m 38s
Comments:

Long run but plan worked well. The wet suit stripper was a little to nice and had to help rip that thing off.
What would you do differently?:

Not sure, maybe wear calf skins under wet suit, although they really didnt slow me down to much.
Bike
  • 5h 30m 2s
  • 112 miles
  • 20.36 mile/hr
Comments:

Rode this race pretty easy and tried not to push it to much. Think I did a pretty good job at it
What would you do differently?:

Maybe skip the arm warmers. after I took them off kept on my wrists and they got a bit warm. Only had them on till mile 30, same with socks. Did toss the socks at aid station after I shoved them in a water bottle
Transition 2
  • 04m 4s
Comments:

First time ever had someone take my bike and it was pretty cool. Didnt much care for the mob that was in the convention center but got through it pretty fast. Did make a pit stop in the bathroom before heading out to run
What would you do differently?:

Nothing I could do
Run
  • 3h 59m 16s
  • 26.2 miles
  • 09m 08s  min/mile
Comments:

Had a good start and kept things pretty under control for 15+ miles and worked my plan. Late into the run started feeling it but it was my best run so far on this distance tri
What would you do differently?:

Hurt a little more and push it harder after mile 20
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing just me really, had a easy planned bike, maybe push it more and find a way to work through T1 & T2

Event comments:

This was a great race and put on very good !! Would do it again and if you have never done it, I would give it a try
