Total Time = 7h 40m 9s
Overall Rank = 1487/1595
Age Group = F30-34
Age Group Rank = 110/119
Pre-race routine:

Decide to get there later due to personalized rack spots; rain caused giant traffic jam going into res; meant everything was rushed that morning.
Event warmup:

two loops in the water. didn't feel like I needed much more than that
Swim
  • 52m 2s
  • 2112 yards
  • 02m 28s / 100 yards
Comments:

told myself to think I was in the pool; seemed to work out pretty well.
What would you do differently?:

sight better. my sighting was shit.
Transition 1
  • 03m 20s
Comments:

tossed on the arm coolers; otherwise, no different than usual.
What would you do differently?:

roll the arm coolers all the way up.
Bike
  • 3h 42m 44s
  • 56 miles
  • 15.09 mile/hr
Comments:

bike time SHOULD HAVE BEEN 3:14:57 according to the cyclometer. but, I got a flat. and that cost me two miles per hour. ARGH. still, happy with the cadence and the technical time.
What would you do differently?:

not have Brandon change my tire ... or have him check for the damn goathead in it. also: train more.
Transition 2
  • 03m 22s
Comments:

sunscreened, but obviously not enough.
What would you do differently?:

SUNSCREEN MORE.
Run
  • 2h 58m 41s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 13m 40s  min/mile
Comments:

saw fellow mx12'er mike; that was awesome. knew I was frying like a pancake. feet overheated like usual; felt lightheaded at the start of loop two.
What would you do differently?:

not walk with that dude on the second loop; probably cost me a few minutes. also: eat more on the bike. or something. sunscreen more.
Post race
Warm down:

flop in the grass and try not to die.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

improper training ... but I technically didn't train for this race and only had a hell of a base built up, so y'know.

Event comments:

it's a boulder race. I feel like they're less awesome than other WTC events, which is pathetic, but it is what it is.
