Run
Comments: Coach AJ suggested I build the pace and HR through the race, which is what I tried to do. Started conservatively. Was hoping to be faster for the second half than I was but still was OK with the result. Wore a windbreaker vest because I thought it would rain. It ended up not raining but it was humid. Sweat quite a bit. Drank at every station. Took gels at 6.5, 9, and 11. What would you do differently?: Not much, warm day, wrong clothes. Managed negative split anyway. OK with result. Tired from season I think Post race
Warm down: through finish line, grabbed refreshments and started walking to car after brief conversation with CTC member. Wanted to get to son's baseball game. What limited your ability to perform faster: humidity. fatigue from season build up maybe. Event comments: Inaugural race, nice turnout, nice expo. Not enough porta potties. Music was good for first half. Didn't like the polka or some of the bands in the second half. Course was a change from Cleveland Marathon half and was OK with a couple of challenging hills. Glad I did the race. Humid day. Second best Half yet. Last updated: 2013-09-30 12:00 AM
