Walk to swim start
Swim
  • 1h 20m 5s
  • 3800 meters
  • 02m 07s / 100 meters
Comments:

Great swim - 10 mins faster than expecting, good sighting and turning, good swim stroke, felt good in the water
What would you do differently?:

not much, a few times was zig-zag-ing but not bad
Transition 1
  • 08m 51s
Comments:

Wetsuit peelers helped. Long run to T1 from swim out but did pretty well in the transition. Used restroom to pee.
What would you do differently?:

Pee in water or on shore before swim start to save time. Couldn't get sunscreen packet open, probably wasted a minute there.
Bike
  • 6h 17m 17s
  • 180 kms
  • 28.63 km/hr
Comments:

Really strong bike. Felt amazing! Beat everyone in PTC except one guy. Training really paid off here! I thought I would be around 7 hours but I really conquered the hills. I think the training and rest into the race helped.
What would you do differently?:

Not much. I did well. Maybe pee on bike to save time if I could ever learn how to do this!
Transition 2
  • 04m 25s
Comments:

Decent transition
What would you do differently?:

Had to pee again!
Run
  • 5h 13m 54s
  • 42.2 kms
  • 07m 26s  min/km
Comments:

VERY HOT day. Tried to keep cool as much as possible. Wore the Sahara Hat which was a BIG deal and so glad I had that to keep cool. Ran most of the shaded part which I was proud of. Sunny part was tough and it was hilly as well. Gave it everything I had to break 13 hours!
What would you do differently?:

Was hoping for a sub 5-hour marathon to break 13 hours but couldn't do it. Would have liked to run more but was really pushing myself at the end. Wish I didn't have to stop to pee but I did. Had to keep control of my HR too. Not sure much I could have done that was in my control.
Post race
Warm down:

Stretching, Post-Race Massage, Warm Clothes, Food, Bus back to Hotel Mont-Tremblant

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Heat during the run course, Sun was brutal!

Event comments:

Great Race Course, beautiful scenery, lots of volunteers, well organized. I had fun and I raced well!
