Comments:

The swim was great, breathing was every 3 strokes it keep me on my own pace trough must of the swim except for when the same guy keep hitting me from the left side, started drafting but keep getting hit by the same guy.I know he didn't do it on purpouse but it was starting to bother me. the great thing was that I never felt tired.
What would you do differently?:

Either stay in the front or outside of the boueys.
Transition 1

Comments:

The bike was about 1 1/2 blocks away from the swim so I had time to get must of the wet suit off.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Bike

  • 30 kms
  • 29.23 km/hr
Comments:

Coming out of the T1 area my legs fell heavy so I tried no to push to hard until I could the blood to them as I started the steep hill I could feel normal again but I choose not to go hard so that I could save my legs for the final loop and the recup in the long downhill.I never felt tired and my brathing was not labored but I did't drink more than 2 oz of fluid (2nd mistake).
What would you do differently?:

Drink a lot more fluids.
Transition 2
  • 04m 1s
Comments:

Tried to put my socks on and one of them was wet so I decided no to wear any. (3rd mistake)
What would you do differently?:

Keep my socks dry.
Run
  • 1h 01m 36s
  • 6.5 miles
  • 09m 29s  min/mile
Comments:

My legs felt a litle hard from the bike(as expected) they started feeling good around mile 2 and started going faster, breathing was great my legs felt fantastic untill mile 4 I started felling some discomfort in my left foot and also the begginigs of a cramp in my gluts and inner thigs so I had to slow down a lot i almost stop at mile 5 but I new that if I did that I wouldn't be able to start again so I pushed on untill the finish I sprinted in the last 400 mts I wasn't even breathing hard after that.
What would you do differently?:

Drink a lot more fluids, wear socks, push harder.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

I was afraid that I was going to burn out before the race was over so I didn't push myself any harder.

Event comments:

I manage to get all my goal.1st finish. 2nd finish within the times that I trained for. 3rd not be the last person in my age group.I feel that I have a lot more in my engine and in my fuel thank I just got to train more in the long runs to gain confidence that I can finish in good time and not just finsh.
