Pre-race routine:

the race was done on at the camp ground, we stayed the night at the camp, the site was right below the Bar, which the patrons decided to have a love quarrel outside right above a camp site till 0130 and then the guy next to us and set up his camp at 0330, I also woke-up and was able to set up my bike about 30 feet from my camper, it was great, not sure if I did enough trainig for this one, had and bagel and banna, and some gatorade, was able to get in to my wet suit to the trailer and walk out to the start line, it was very nice,
Event warmup:

not much little jog around the camp before put on the wetsuit, I got very warm waiting for the start.

it felt good, my knee was killing me at around 35 miles, I was stay with the same pace till the end,
What would you do differently?:

I may want to get my bike fitted for me to see if it will help my knee.

My knee felt like it was blown out not sure why I even went out for the jog, oh thats right My family was right there and my wife and kids yelling at me, so I went out.
What would you do differently?:

Don't know, the knee was killing me, got to get that fixed

I jogged the first loop, and then it was walk up hills and jogged down and on the flats, met a cycling store owner, got alot of hints, the knees and ankles where killing me,
What would you do differently?:

my be get a coach to help with knees and ankles. start working with longer runs, my be get into new shoes sooner,
Post race
Warm down:

I went and stood in the water, it felt great, I then went and got some food, then sat around and watched the rest of the racers come in not alot, I did see that the knees and ankles healed quicker this time. so there is some hope.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

knees and ankles

felt good and it was a nice swim, the there was alot of pushing and swimming of each other. the swom thin out about half way through the swim. the wetsuit felt some what big in the arms and alittle bit of water pushing in, I was using a Extrra, XL wetsuit.

Course: the course was very hilly and had a wind from hell, the course was set up and that the head wind just coming at us at ever turn, I tried to get up very fast and tried to stayed at 18mph, that worked for the first hour. then hit the big hill at 21 miles and the wind. not sure it was the right thing to due for this ride.
