My first tri ever, and I've only been swimming in any kind of serious way since june. So I was a bit overwhelmed by the reality of swimming in a small space with that many people!
What would you do differently?:

start at the very back of my heat, the extra space would be worth it for a first-timer. that being said since i've already got one under my belt I'm not sure I'd do that next time...

I was pretty conservative on the run because of the way the course was set up I had no idea how much further we had to go, nor did I have a watch. So I was saving some energy in case I had grossly underestimated how far I'd gone- but then the finish was lurking!

Warm down:

walked around a bit, drank some water and then went back out to run the last stretch with my mom when she finished!
