Pre-race routine:

Woke up half an hour before the alarm went off. Made sur eI had everythin and off we went.
Event warmup:

Not much, expect we had to swim like 200 yards to the Island once the Pirate Ship Dropped us off.

The start was a mess, not only did the race star 35 minutes after it's scheduled time, the start caught most of the people offguard.

The first part of the swim was a mess but still fun, tons of people kicking, I got hit in my goggles and swallod a bunch of water but knew I had to stay calm. I passed some people on this part. Then after passing the turnaround bouy I don't know if there was a current but I started swimming offcourse,and every cuople of minutes had to look up and make sure I wasn't going the wrong way.

Anyhow, I think my swim time was ok, I was expecting on taking longer.
What would you do differently?:

Swim better, hahahaha.

I felt pretty good during this portion of the race. Passed a good amount of people and wasn't passed by too many people.

I tried to save my legs a bit for the run and tried keeping my cadence at 80 most of the time.
What would you do differently?:

Train harder so that I could perform better on this portion of the race.

I tried to start not to aggressively to see if I could find my legs asnd then slowly try to pick up the pace. However, I wasn't able to find my legs. Even though I passed a lot of people, I couldn't get into my rythm and struggled most of run. It was hot and I had way too much accelerade and on top of that drank gatorade at the first water station, which the made me want to puke throughout most of the run.


What would you do differently?:

I could have saved my legs a bit more for the run, but I think in reality if I had trained a lit bit harder in the bie and had gotten my body more used to the wear of the bike. I could have performed much better on the run.
