Swim
  • 23m 28s
  • 879 yards
  • 02m 40s / 100 yards
Comments:

The water was a little murkier than last year, but still a lot nicer than Venice
What would you do differently?:

Swim more! I really had a poor showing in my training for this race due to freaking out about studying for the CFA
Transition 1
  • 02m 4s
Comments:

I thought it was an alright transition, I probably could have gone faster, but I was trying to get my HR down after the swim.
What would you do differently?:

Not much, just be in better shape!
Bike
  • 18m 7s
  • 6 miles
  • 19.87 mile/hr
Comments:

I am disappointed in my bike time, was hoping to be over 20mph, but I think I let up too much on the hill because I wanted to save my legs a little more
What would you do differently?:

Weigh less!
Transition 2
  • 01m 14s
Comments:

Was a quick transition, 1:14 for me is not a bad deal :)
What would you do differently?:

Remember to take my helmet off earlier!
Run
  • 18m 5s
  • 2 miles
  • 09m 02s  min/mile
Comments:

This is where the timing gets really funky, I am guesstimating 18:05 here, but not sure if that is right. I know it should be within that range, so I am going to chance it here :)
What would you do differently?:

TRAIN!!! Weigh less
Post race
Warm down:

Walk around, talk to a few people, drive home and CRASH (was dehydrated and had a bad headache)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training/sleep/stress. All things I can correct, but it was definitely a life lesson in how hard it is to maintain fitness and work

Event comments:

All of my times are "Guesstimates" because I am pretty sure the timing chip was off. I know I am somewhere between 58minutes and 1hr 3m. I believe the first few splits are right and just the run is off.

Other than that, it is a great beginner/fun race. Such a unique race in that it is very close to be an anaerobic race with the transitions/short distance and lack of rest! Will look forward to competing next year and not putting in such a poor performance
