  • Comments: For the most part the race was good. It was organized and the course was well marked. The few issues I had had to do with the time from of the meetings and check in on Saturday. The manditory meeting was at 12:45 and it was held were the athletes had to be in the sun...this was not a good idea. Then having to wait until 2 pm to check the bikes in made it a long day. Also, the other issue I had was with the race shirts. When I registared it did not indicate if the shirts sizes were mens or womens. This caused many of the female athletes to order a small because usually when it does not indicate m/f it is male sizes. The small shirt was not even and adult small, it was for a small child. And when everyone noticed this they would not exchange the shirts until 7 pm that evening....who wanted to come back at the time...most of us were getting ready for bed at that time.

  • Comments: Pleased with the actual race. Volunteers and spectators were amazing. The one COMPLAINT I have is regarding the race shirt...there was no indication on the registration page regarding shirt sizes. So when I received my packet I got a women's small (which looked more like a child's small) instead of a men's small. So now I don't have a race shirt for my first 70.3. VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED that this is the case and nobody offered to make it right. It should have been indicated on the race registration page and someone should have offered to make it right or send a new, properly sized shirt.

  • Comments: Great venue for a race, too bad IKE hit last year and they had to modify the bike and run. But nice job by Keith getting it done. Definately a great stop for early season race, especially now that I live about 23 miles from there since I just moved last year from Austin to houston, clear lake area! Would definately do this one again.

  • Comments: So, maybe someone can help me out with what happened to my race as I cannot figure out the exact cause. About mile 5 of the bike I got razor sharp stomach/intestinal pains. I figured they would be gone in a few minutes, but they never left. They proceeded to get much worse. By the second half of the bike I could not even get down into the aero position anymore as they hurt so bad. I got into the run and started it off walking and taking in all the water I could hoping to kick the pain so I could finish. The pain was much worse during my walk than it even was on the bike and running was completely out of the question. I ended up walking one loop of the course in just over an hour and I had to call it quits. 4 hours of razor sharp pain was my limit. I'm sure many of you probably saw me on the run course as I was walking and kind of doubled over while doing so. It was extremely dissapointing as this was my first half and I was very excited to make a good showing which obviously did

  • Comments: I do like the Endorfun Sports events. Always set up great. I love having the racks numbered, they take care of you on the exit out of the water with carpeting in and out of the water. The food is good, the band is good, the announcing is awesome, the shirts, hat, towel, and water bottle are great. The AquaBike division was great for me cause I could still race. The awards and give aways were great. The only notes I have are that they should've run the Half before the Quarter as we have longer out there, and we were all over the run course for the 1/4 cause it goes through the swim start area. Also, leave the caps on the water bottles! Otherwise, well done.

  • Comments: There's a reason I've done 7 of Keith's races in the last 1 1/2 years. If you can get to one, do it. They're some of the best races in the country.

  • Comments: Good race, lots of volunteers. The run route was a little strange, but that's due to hurricane Ike last year, so they did really well given the circumstances. It was even a little fun.

  • Comments: Overall a very good race. My main goal for the race was to break 5 hours and qualify for the HalfMax Championships - mission accomplished. I didn't quite hit my stretch goal of 4:52, but still a very good result, beating my previous HIM by 30 minutes! Season is still young - lots of racing ahead of me!

  • Comments: This was my first HIM and the course was flat and fun. I've heard that Keith Jordan puts on great races and I must agree that the whole weekend was well organized, on time and a lot of fun. It's a great venue for kids and ours had a blast. I would defintely go back and recommend this to anyone.

  • Comments: After collapsing at the finish line and waking up in the med tent with the IV, i've learned hydration and nutrition are key. I also need to avoid spraining my shoulders and food poisoning the week before the race. All things considered, i'm proud to have even finished. that day did not work in my favor, but I refuse to let that get me down. Nobody will stop me from getting my medal.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too easy

  • Comments: Once again, Endorfun put on a FANTASTIC event. Nice venue, even if the course is a little easy, but it's really the organization and attention to details that make their events better than most. Tons of volunteers, fantastics setup, course markings, traffic management, announcers, support, etc. Did I mention they even have free beer?

  • Comments: This ended up being a great race for me. My swim was so so ... ok it was actually kinda crappy since it was in salt water with a wetsuit and I didn't even attempt to push it to see what I could do. But mentally I was pretty proud of myself for dealing with the flats and not psyching myself out about the run..

  • Comments: I'm dinging this race just a bit compared to the sprint because it seems like Keith had some volunteers not show up. Unlike the sprint, there were no volunteers to help racers out of the water and navigate the ramp. Also, the two bike stations definitely needed more people. I only saw 2 people at one and 3 at the other. The rest of the stations were all well manned, though, and the race itself was awesome.

  • Comments: Good, well-organized race, huge endeavor to have three races over two days, yet I still think it's overpriced, at least 50% higher than comparable area HIMs that I've seen. And would it have hurt to have spend another $5 for 2nd and 3rd place relay team awards? Great weekend with all the BTers around! Pictures above show Jackie running, couldn;t find any of Bill. Also the grou0p shot is before the Pasta Party Friday night, L-R jcagg90, davidb, tri_mommy, tri_it_cajun_style, DerekL, mama bear, me, whizzzz, and coredump

  • Comments: This was a very good race. The weather was iffy for awhile...but race organizers can not help that. It was extremely well supported....lots of volunteers and very helpful. Nice expo - lots of great and easy parking. The bike course was good - safe. Run was good....a little crazy..maybe they can work on that a little. Great event for spectators. Excellent event.

  • Comments: We placed 3rd out of 9 in the co-ed relay division (11 with two DNF) and we hung out for the awards. They called us up to the podium and then organizers informed the announcer thay only had awards for the winning team in the relay division. So we got the podium time without the hardware. Not a big deal. I figured since we were calling ourselves Team BT and we had the BT booth set up in the expo, it would be bad form to no-show the awards thing.
