  • Comments: Nice small race. They were a little low on volunteers, in my opinion, so the transition area wasn't secure and the race didn't start on time. Once the race got going, though, things seemed to run smoothly. The course was flat and fast, as advertised.

  • Comments: I really like this race. I've never done it because it's held the same weekend as the Lake Lenape Tri, which I've always really enjoyed, but couldn't get into this year. Think TSW liked the spectating here too. So this might have to become a fixture on the schedule.

  • Comments: Not rated a 5 because water is kind of disgusting, but otherwise a really good race!

  • Comments: I love DQ's events and I do as many of them as I can fit into my schedule each year. I find them to be very down to earth and cool folks. Last year at this race I flatted on the bike course so this was my revenge. Next year I avenge the run course!!!!

  • Comments: So finished the 440 yard swim, 15 mile bike and 3.1 mile run in 2 hours 7 minutes according to my watch and GPS. Waiting on the official time and the official pics. What is really amazing is that I had no pain, instability or any physical issues at all during the triathlon. I'm totally chuffed to be able to do this stuff again. however, I am a little tired of dukeing it out for 3rd from last place. So, I'll probably take a hiatus from triathlon and see if I can drop some more weight and be a little faster at it. I also want to upgrade the bikes drive train to something more efficient.

  • Comments: My first tri in the US - I expected that it would be a really competitive, unfriendly atmosphere, but most of the entrants I talked to were really cool and supportive. Looking forward to more races this summer.

  • Comments: The race itself was really well run and well organized. The fire co did a great job as marshalls, esp during the run when they were heckling people from the ambulace(that was histerical!) I gotta say though that the lake was disgusting.... that would be the only factor with me doing this again.

  • Comments: Race reports of last year's race almost scared me off but it seems as if DQ was on the ball this year. I can't think of anything that I would qualify even as a HICCUP. Very good race and great bike course. May make it into my group of races for next year.

  • Comments: This was a very well run race. From the race reports last year I would like to think the RD got his act together and this years race was MUCH better. Everything was on time and the course was well marked with TONS of volunteers. The fire hall had some good food afterwards as well. The swim was a bit gross but I wouldn't let it stop me from racing this race again in the future. Still not a bad day for getting 3rd in my AG. Even with a solid run I would have been about 30 seconds slower than the guy who ended up in 2nd.

  • Comments: They had good food. Pepperoni bread, soft pretzels, fruit, garlic bread, lots of Entenmens donuts. OK, ready for the icing on the cake? AWARDS. Scoogie won (we all knew Scoogie would win). So the awards are being given out and 1 girl won an award for both the Tri and the Du- wow, she must be good to place in 2 races when the rest of us only did 1. Then the girl who beat me in Athena (Melissa- she was very nice and very nervous- first timer) also took an award for her Age Group. Well, that knocked Sara out of 2nd in the F30-34. So she was pissed. I told the race director who's head was spinning at this time. He apologized and said he'd send her a prize too. So, the initial results were posted at the end of the race, but didn't take into account the wave starts. Once they adjusted the times, they were all messed up. How I lost 4 seconds on my time is beyond me. Wow, we spent $120 to do an organized workout. I'm pissed. This race sucked.

  • Comments: Great race for me personally as a first-timer. Other than the bike route fiasco, the race was very well-organized and small enough that I didn't feel overwhelmed. Will definitely do this race again next year if we're still living close enough to make it.
