  • Comments: Virtual race this year - they did a good job of planning but I think ultimately was a bit of a flop as far as attendance goes. My enthusiasm for a virtual race is all used up this year.

  • Comments: It's a ride, not a race! But as I was riding solo, I rode hard anyway and only stopped at the mid-point rest stop.

  • Comments: this is a great event. its not a race its a ride so if you keep that in mind its even better. very well run and organzied. Music was blasting, they had vendors there, free pizza at the end and tons of it. the rest stops were at perfect distances and well stocked, i was amazed at the effort put into this ride. The free shirt was a little lame, the graphics were nice but I don't ever wear cotton t-shirts espically in they pale yellow color but oh well.

  • Comments: This is a fanstastic event with many options based on abilities. It is so HUGE that they may need to limit it eventually, or not try to have a mass start (like Ironman does, they have no fanfare). But in general it's really fun, well done, and I can't believe how often then change the route. The rest stops generally ROCK. Do it!!!

  • Comments: This is a very well organized ride. The day-of signup took less than 5 minutes. There were volunteers and/or officers at almost every intersection, which is impressive for a 75 mile loop. Rest stops were well stocked with good stuff and the pizza at the end of the ride was great. I'll definitely try to make this a yearly tradition.

  • Comments: Oh and did I mentioned how FILTHY I was after? My arms were so dirty it was abrasive to use my aerobar pads. I power washed our shoes and threw the rest in the clothes washer. I hope I don't wreck the machine with all of the grit. We had a good laugh at the amount of dirt that had permeated our clothes onto our skin. And I have tan lines! That's just unfair. This is a great event and will look forward to next year. Now I know what I am capable of! And I always enjoy activities with Steve.

  • Comments: The only downer to this ride was the weather which they can't control. I defintely will keep this one on the plan for next year.

  • Comments: This is a really nice tour. 2006 was the first year and I think they did a great job. The other riders were polite and friendly and the volunteers did a great job. The t-shirts were top quality. I'm looking forward to the longer route in 2007.
