  • Comments: I only drank Smart Water on my bike..ate one gel cap..and grap a sip here and there of Gatorade. On the run, I grabbed water here and there. Perhaps, my run could have been better if I had some gel/gu (although, in training I tried some and I couldn't find any that sat well in my stomach). I need to work on the nutrition/food part more.

  • Comments: This was so much more than just a race. The experience was amazing. I got to meet lots of Pros and all around great people. We had so much fun. I cant wait to come back and do the long course! The race directors, sponsors and crowds were the best ever! The final results for all competitors are not posted but I got a nice email from Tri California explaining the delay. The girl who is listed as 1st o/a and 1st in my AG times dont add up. So, they said I got 3rd and will update the results page soon :)

  • Comments: I missed my somewhat arbitrary goal of 3:30 by a minute and a half, but still shaved over 13 minutes off my time from last year, so I can't complain. Hopefully next year I will finally get to do the long course.

  • Comments: This race is SUPERBLY organized. Even though I sucked during the race, I had a BLAST. I was very pleased that I did not get a single cramp and felt good during the race and I am thankful to God for that. A lot of people were praying for me and my first ever race. I really want to do Wildflower again. Camping out was so much fun - even in the rain. The festival atmosphere was fantastic. I really enjoyed the time spent with friends, family, teammates and coaches. I spent quite a bit in shopping. The environment is GORGEOUS. The Cal-Poly students who manned the aide stations (drunk) and who did the naked run - were hilarious and very helpful. There were sooooooooo many bike aide trucks that went around helping people with flat tires; I was really impressed. I was the "port-a-potty Queen" and got an extensive sampling of port-a-potties from beginning to end. EVERY SINGLE one had not only toilet paper, but toilet seat covers AND they were moderately clean - and I was at the tail

  • Comments: Challenging race. Great expo/festival. Lots of spectators and vendor booths. Camping was fun. Distance from camp site to festival was long and hilly/steep.
