  • Comments: This is always a good race to test your year end fitness. New Sprint PR and I improved my splits in this race in all three disciplines plus both transitions over last fall. Plan going into this race was 8 - 37 - 24. I went 7 - 38 -25. I think I am ready to Age up, maybe M45-49 will be easier on the ego .....

  • Comments: My mom was here at a race for the first time which made this even more special. My wife supported me again which I treasure. I thought with this time I'd be a top 5 finisher in my group, but the field increased from 12 participants to 36 in 5 months. Everybody is feeling the Tri, and that is a great thing for this nation, it just made me sad not to get a medal! I want a medal! Great day, love Wisconsin, thank you God!

  • Comments: Great event that is always well organized and welcomes beginners and veterans alike. I like that the triathlon is done in waves, it keeps the smaller course less crowded and makes it more of a me vs me game as opposed to racing other people. This is my first time placing in my age group since starting to TRI and it was a great way to end my first season of triathlons!

  • Comments: Great race. For first timers, i would recommend this one. Great indoor pool and not a real challenging course. Improved a ton from last year, i weigh close to 30 lbs less than last years race weight, and much much faster. Had a great great season. Got to the podium three times and had a blast all summer. Lots more improvement to come and excited for next season of tris!!!! I think my friend is hooked. Had a blast the whole time and i am looking forward to seeing him get into it, i think hes got some good potential. Great track athlete in high school and swam an 11 min 500 yard with no swim training practically.

  • Comments: This was a well run event, but the racers were very spread out. I get motivated by seeing others on the course, and there was very little of this. I didn't enjoy the run as much as I usually do because of the hills and the fact that it was a trail run. It was great that this race was just next door so I didn't have to travel as far or spend a night in a hotel. And I had two great Milton friends to do it with, Michele and Lesley.

  • Comments: They have this race fairly well down. I actually think these volunteers put as much time into this race as others do for and OLY or even and HIM since the waves are so spread out so props to them on that. Fun race, fun day. My kids did the children's race held after the adults and I thought they did a great job putting that on!

  • Comments: I had 2 goals for this race and I achieved one of them The first one as posted in my blog was to finish top 5 OA. I did that finishing 5th. My second goal was to finish 1st in my AG and I missed by 10 F'ing seconds. The worst thing about it is I got beat by the same person that beat me last year. I know have my own Charles Benson, mine is much less famous, but none the less, Brian D&($#, you are MY Charles Benson and I will beat you one day.

  • Comments: I love this race. I thought I was ready. I worked hard on my swim and run.I need to get on my bike more. I should have had a better run but my legs were trashed from the bike. I need more consistant training in all 3 events. Looking forward to spring

  • Comments: As much as I appreciate the volunteers, I'd say it was 50/50 on good ones/horrible ones. I passed 3 guys on the bike, who were talking on their cell phones as I passed them. None of the run station volunteers knew how far into the run I was, and the couple that told my friend the wrong place to be. But overall, for my first tri, it was a great experience and I can't wait to do it again.

  • Comments: Overall I was pretty darn mad about the day. Now as I look back at it, the day was quite comical with all of the wretched luck I had... I had better have good luck for the next 100 years!

  • Comments: Not thrilled about the roads (they might have wanted to re-route this time around). I thought the transition area wasn't real secure due to people coming and going over the long day. Otherwise it's a nice race to end the year and I certainly would do it again.

  • Comments: good stuff, got to hang out with some donks and get a race in!! if they had races every day for the whole year, i would do 95% of them :D got ever so closer to some tri hardware by taking 4th in my AG. figured they would drop the 1st place guy since he took 3rd OA but no such luck...oh well. im getting closer to scoring some metal every race and hopefully by next spring i can get myself up there. congrats scott on your 2nd place, andrew on your 3rd, and jason on your sweet streak of 2's lol. eeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwout!

  • Comments: One thing I didn't account for was the fact that I didn't start until around 11:45 or so which I am not used to. I ate my normal pre race meal, but instead of starting at 8 I didn't start until 11:45 so I didn't have much energy. Took a gel right before the race and 1 on the bike, but it wasn't enough. I think this hurt my performance somewhat.
