  • Comments: No chip timing was a disappointment. I probably wouldn't do this race again without the chip timing. The rough bike course is another negative. On a positive note the volunteers were awesome. Very supportive!!

  • Comments: A much better race effort compared to my two sprint races earlier in the summer. Geography and course are the positives about the race. No chip timing, no transition splits, no gatorade afterwards, no goodie bag, and sub-par swim conditions (no the race organizers fault) are all negatives. Don't think this one is worth the $ other than the positives mentioned above.

  • Comments: Fun small race. Nasty lake. Didn't push hard, had Chicago tri weekend before and 20 mile run scheduled for Monday.

  • Comments: I would stay way away from this Tri. They lost the results for the both races and were rude to the athletes. They sent out an email with the best guest as to who run (stated in the email). The swim is more of a running in water because its just so shallow of a lake. Not enough volunteers and they were very uninformed to the point the volunteers were embarrassed not to have the answers to simple questions like where is something to drink.

  • Comments: I found out after the race that there were only two "official" water stations on the run. The others were just locals doing a good deed and I'm sure glad they did.
