  • Comments: Very congested. needed to arrive early so wife could get a spot to watch and so I could leave to start line on time. Have cash when you come. Wife and I enjoyed the EXPO. She is looking at starting to run /Walk in these events.

  • Comments: Seems odd to give a 4 with so many no's and below averages. You just had to be there. This is a charity race and a New Orleans tradition so lots of crazy teams/ people that give it so much character. The neighborhood homeowners stand on the route giving margaritas, shots, donuts, etc. People stop at bars for a drink along the way and the route is down some old New Orleans streets so there's so much than just a race to it. I hope to be able to do it again next year.

  • Comments: Water was located about 1/4 mile from the finish. This was bad, and almost a deal breaker for future races. Folks were passing out at the finish line and all were yelling for water.

  • Comments: Crescent City Classic never dissapoints. 22,000 registered runners is tough to deal with if you are in the back. Glad I was near the front. Wife had to dodge a ton of walkers and strollers.

  • Comments: after race seen friend Rene and hung out for just a couple of minutes. Didnt stay for long, just wanted to go home and rest. So I jetted.   • Comments: This has become an Easter family tradition, we all go up to NO the night before then do the race on Saturday. Post-race this year wasn't in the stadium as usual, killed some of the ambience, but still a good party.

  • Comments: Better crowd control was needed for so many runners, especially at the finish. I will do this race again as I really did have a lot of fun dispite there being soooo many people!

  • Comments: A fun race. The usually lunacy on Esplanade Avenue with spectators handing out beer and jello shots and God knows what else. As always, lots of people dressed in costumes - plenty of bunny rabbits. One guy was a big human fleur de lis made out of styrofoam. Could not have been fun to run in that. Saw one guy dressed like an Imperial Death Star general - totally black wardrobe from head to toe - long sleeves, too - like some kind of jacket and he was wearing knee-high leather boots. Kah-ray-zee. But I always find myself chuckling several times along the course just taking in all of the fun sights and sounds. It's definitely one of the most fun / festive road races there is.

  • Comments: Crescent City has become a yearly tradition, this is the first year we brought the whole family to run it. More of a carnival than a serious road race, well-organized considering the nearly 20,000 participants it brings. Fun time, nice bands at the end, I heard the legendary Clarence "Frogman" Henry perform in the short time we were there. We'll be back next year if at all possibel.

  • Comments: Crescent City is always a blast, made more, uh, interesting with the crazy bunch of BTers on hand this year. crowds were somewhat smaller than in previous years, though, fewer residents in the city post-Katrina, also limited hotel availability for the out-of-towners.
