  • Comments: dutrirun continues to be disorganized. Again this year they posted results with the Clydesdale division labeled Athena. Not a huge deal but very annoying. Heard complaints from the sprint division that the bike course distance was 2-3 miles longer than posted distance. Finished and was unable to even get my official event time at the race waited over 45 minutes and nothing. Had to find out I won my division online hours later. I wish they would get their act together on some of this stuff. For those looking at doing this event in the future. The swim is two laps in a manmade lake that is very shallow. It's great for beginners as you can walk much of the swim if you wish. The swim seams short to me as well. Roads for bike and run are pretty decent. Run course is very flat. Overall I think there were close to 500 participants in all the races.

  • Comments: Was a good race. I had a blast. They had Stevens Point beer there, I can't complain. It was a great first triathlon for me. I would recommend it to anyone who is worried about the swim.

  • Comments: For the money this is a great race! $40 for an Olympic is very good value. The Sprint is the same price. Hope to be back next year and weigh less.

  • Comments: I am very confused as to the times... my watch time said 2:58:01 and my official chip time says 3:01:02. I was in wave three. I wish I could explain it!!! Overall, I set a new PR with the chip time by over 6 minutes and a watch PR time by almost 10 minutes!!

  • Comments: When they said 2 minutes to start the swim, they said ready set go 10 seconds later. Lack of water on the run, I basically had a tackle a girl to get her attention to see if she had water. not a huge deal as it was cool out.

  • Comments: Midwest sports does a great job organizing their events. I highly recommend them. The only thing I did not like was the swim, too shallow, too weird to have so many people walking. I met a couple of BT'ers at the event which was cool. One recognized me from my avatar, but I forgot his handle! Dang.

  • Comments: Well, this was my first longer race and I was pretty happy, especially with the results. The race itself was not the best one I have done, but it wasn't too bad and the tee shirts were pretty nice. I am honestly very happy with the results and I look forward to using this race as a way to structure my training for the main event of the year, Door County Half Ironman.
