  • Comments: Great race support although a little skimpy on the food during and after the race. That would be my only complaint. Water and aid stations were quite plentiful. Super organization by Disney and the transportation was easy. I would recomment this race to anyone. It does put a smile on your face.

  • Comments: Great first Marathon. Disney knows how to organize an event and put on a great show. As for a summary..........runners, volunteers, staff and spectators all exceeded my expectations.

  • Comments: Crazy Morning. 3rd time doing Goofy. Decided to run with Mel's aunt Vicki (her 12th Disney in a row). Didn't see her at the start, but caught her in the first mile (out of 17,000 people!). Had a great day shuttling between family, friends and the coffee at the Hess station.

  • Comments: Cold cold cold for Florida. I seriously think this was colder than the Chicago marathon this year. Good race all the same.

  • Comments: Only problem with Disney events is the way they stage runners before the start, which leaves them standing for up to two hours before they move to the start line.

  • Comments: I would prefer more food stations, and sooner. Think the first was at mile 17. I definately need them sooner than that.

  • Comments: This is an amazing race. The trip was filled with problems and trials, but when it came down to the race, it was amazing. I needed this race so badly after Ironman and it did exactly what it was suppose to do. Disney puts on such a good race, nothing like I have ever experienced. Next time I will stay onsite. I am really hoping Jan of 2012 will be my next trip to do this race. For that race, I will be doing the Goofy and probably adding in the 5K, which they informally call the Dopey. I CAN'T wait to do it again!!! I LOVE THIS RACE... the Disney magic is amazing and made my heart whole again!

  • Comments: This is definitely a Do Again event. Great tech shirts and medals of which you get to wear proudly at the parks the next few days. This also was the first time I went without my crutch of a water bottle but I didn't miss it at all due to good number of water stops. This is the first event where I've ever been able to receive two full size bananas, raisens and chocolate along the course. This was a pleasant surprise especially since I forgot to bring my hammer gels and had to use powergels (of which are not easy on my stomach so I had to cut back on intake). So now the question is... should I try Goofy next year? Maybe.

  • Comments: The highlights of this race are running through all the Disney parks and the awesome volunteers and supporters out there. The downside includes having to be on a shuttle by 4am for a 5:40am start time and the expense. Nothing is free at Disney. I was surprised that we didn't even get a discount for a park ticket.

  • Comments: Other than the post race food, they do a very good job. Maybe too many aid stations? But the volunteers were great! The organization is good! Not sure I would do this race on a regular basis due to cost, but I would put this in the must do marathon catagory. One side note, I thought doing Disney would be entertaining running through the parks, and it was. I was surprised, however how few miles there actually are in the parks versus miles on access roads!

  • Comments: This is not a race to expect to PR in. Many areas lack running room. LOT"S of slow people to have to zig zag around. And keep in mind I was in Corral B so there really should not have been so many people running slow paces. Course they all could have had issues/excuses like I did heh

  • Comments: I keep coming back, and am signed up again, so it must not suck too bad. Since it is a drivable race for me, it is fun. Not sure how many more Goofy's I want to do though. Too much waking up early.

  • Comments: Nothing bad to say except this race is huge with 16000 finishers, some areas get narrowed down as you enter the parks, so congestion happens. I almost accidently tackled a guy for stopping in front of me in the last mile of the race, I just couldn't move around him, luckily I was able to slow down enough to avoid the accident, but it took a lot of energy I didn't have.

  • Comments: Great on course support. Great crowds. Engaging course. No real party after the race, unless you coughed up some MORE $$ for an evening at Hollywood Studios.

  • Comments: I want a rematch. Interestingly, the body feels great. There's a little tightness in the legs, but nothing is sore, and I'm not hobbling around. I'd love to do this Goofy challenge again when the temp is in the 60s and I can wear the shorts and t-shirt I had anticipated. I wonder if I got into trouble because of training errors, or if it was just the obscenely cold temperatures.

  • Comments: Thank God for Jen. She is the worlds best supporter (and wife of course). I needed a shoulder and someone who understood and she found me right away at the end. Plus she helped me re-tie my shoes;) I couldn't bend over then and 36 hours later I still can't - I got me a big case of "you're walking like you crapped your pants" syndrome.

  • Comments: Disney of course puts on a huge race...I don't think it's "THE BEST"...they really have cut alot out in recent years...and it's expensive for what you get. But there's nothing like running thru all four Disney parks, which is why I do this race every year.

  • Comments: Need to do another marathon to reach that 4:30 goal. I know I can do it, just need to train better for the longer distances. No more of this "20 miles is the longest distance you run before a marathon" crap!

  • Comments: Awesome race if you're a Disney fan. Very crowded so not a race for a PR. Great fan support, I actually cheered for my wife the day before, and a few humdred other runners, and had a blast. Next year we are running the 1/2 together with our camera and just having fun then hanging around to cheer on the marathoners on SUnday.
