  • Comments: I felt out of my league in this race, but I finished. I may not have been ready for an olympic distance race. In the end I am glad I did it and look forward to another tri, maybe a sprint though

  • Comments: There really isn't a nicer place in the area to have a triathlon. The swim is nice, challenging bike course and a great run. The people are friendly and there is a good vibe. It's the perfect place for a family to come and watch a triathlon up close. I hardly even see my kids during some of the big events...but you can pass you wife/kids/family several times during this tri.

  • Comments: Longest swim ever, check. Longest bike ride ever, check. Longest run ever, check. All in one event, not so bright. That said, it feels really good to have a season of racing under my belt. Reflecting on what I looked and felt like last September compared to this September, I feel like a new person. I can't wait until next year!

  • Comments: Very laid-back nicely run race. Proceeds go to charity. Also, every participant has a chance to win some really good prizes -- top prize was a Fuji Tri Bike!! Swag bag was nice and the shirt was very nice. I plan to do this again and probably one of the other races in their series next year. Pinchot is a nice location, too.

  • Comments: Since this was the event’s inaugural race, a few thoughts on this race for improvement which I passed to the race director: - Perhaps a few more sighting buoys on the second swim leg. Nothing they could have done about the fog. if you could put like 3 yellow buoys in between the reds and then maybe 1 yellow on the finish to get back to shore, that would probably help folks a bit more. It was unfortunate that the middle buoy was white as it blended nicely in the fog. If you keep this a near Fall event, the chances of morning fog are going to be there. (RD agreed that 5 buoys would be good) - Larger drink cups on the run. They were just above small Dixie cups and folks needed just a bit more there. (RD agreed to this) - I didn’t have a problem with 1 aide station on the run as I carry my own drinks, but I usually see 3 on a 10K run with an Olympic. Perhaps 1 right after the finish area (oh, I think I did see that being set up as I passed the first time, but no one was

  • Comments: Good local race. Pinchot park is a great place for a triathlon. I definately recommend giving this a try if you live in the area. Could have had a bottle exchange on the bike and few more voluteers to direct traffic on the run. Other than that, well organized event with a friendly vibe.
