  • Comments: Good organization for the competion it worth to do it again. Very nice town , people friendly , you can get almost everething but still a small town , nobody will be dissapointed with this place. Also nice restarurants , beaches , it was a paradise. you can get any hotel from the luxurius to the Bed Brekfast.

  • Comments: Great destination race, Cozumel is a blast. The winds, heat, and humidity make this a tougher course than you might think, so maybe not a great race if you're looking for a PR.

  • Comments: An awesome race with all of the unique intangibles of an international race, but only a short plane ride from the US. I would do this again tomorrow if I could. The entire event was pretty well organized with only a few minor issues that I am sure will be corrected next year. After having raced two new 70.3 races in New Orleans and Augusta this year, I was amazed at how well organized this race was in its first year. This race, probably more so than many other IMs, is very susceptible to the weather. A cold front moved through the two days before the race and the wind was relatively sustained at 10 mph blowing north to south. Had this continued, the bike would have been an absolute bear. The crosswinds on the 13 mile oceanside were tough, but at least it was no headwind. Also, the heat and humidity could be a real factor hear. Conditions were almost ideal this year with low winds and cloud cover for most of the bike, but a humid run. I could see the wrogn My advice for anyone

  • Comments: I would be surprised if the organizers of the event didn't improve the water bottle situation, and lack of salty foods. Otherwise, I thought the volunteer and local city support was awesome. (They had 2 nights of folkloric dancing for IRONMAN in the town hall. There were signs out in front of a lot of the businesses welcoming us. Pretty much the whole island went on pause during the event, so I thought it was really special to be there for that.) In short, this race was pretty wild. The course has vast potential for speed, adventure, glory, fame, and fortune. With its proximity to IMAZ, I was able to train for Coz at the same time as everyone else. Overall, I think it's a great alternative to IMAZ, and would recommend it to others.
