  • Comments: My first Tri, ever, so I have nothing to compare against, but it was a lot of fun w/ tons of volunteers and food, water, etc. Great time!

  • Comments: Poor start--too crowded and no waves to thin herd; great course, well organized, plenty of volunteers and hydration; rumor has it actual distances on bike and run were longer than posted... that would explain why the times seemed slower than what I thought/ felt I produced

  • Comments: This is a well organized, super fun race! Good food at the end, even though I wasn't hungry AT ALL...my daughter and her friend were pooped so we stuck around long enough to see a friend finish the sprint, then got my stuff and we bolted. Otherwise, I'm sure it would have been fun to hang out after. I would def add this race to my list again next year. Great course!

  • Comments: the food was crap. this is typical miami - give you crap and you'll accept it because it is miami and you just want to be here. the photos were crap. i have maybe 3 photos of me and this was a 3 hr race. i did a half marathon (2 hrs) and have 20+ photos...i remember seeing the photographers thinking "i must have missed some!" b/c they only had 1 on the bike path and 1 on the run...and they looked like it was the LAST thing they wanted to be doing...

  • Comments: Great Event...very well Organized like usual...tons of volunteers...enough water stations...food...etc...etc. But...I need to add only 2 negatives comments about 2 isolates situations... First: When the Organizers finally opened Transition Area to get our bikes and Race Stuff...they only opened one exit...and...they didn't want to open the other exit...and...it was a huge line of people...and...everybody wanted to go out...and...they didn't have enough people checking one by one bike with your Bid#s...It was a very hot day...and...the people started to protest...demanding to open the other exit...till one guy jumped the fence with his bike and his Race Stuff and somebody from the Staff came to stop him...and...made him to come back inside...cuz...he would be DQ...WHT...!!! At this point the situation was getting tense and finally the Organizers opened the other exit...but...all of us were already toasted...finally We got out and took our bikes and bags to the car...Ufffff...!!!   • Comments: Rain limited post race. RunMiami put on an EXCELLENT Event! Staff was phenominal. THE VOLUNTEERS WERE JUST AWESOME! And major thanks to the City of Miami for the their excellent, enthusiastic and professional safety personnel!

  • Comments: They had nothing except water at the end of the race. That sucked. THey could have has asport drink and fruits. Over all happy I came back on the swim and still made top 28%.

  • Comments: This race was done so well, and was so much fun! I would do it again in a minute, even tho' it was really hard. The organizers do an amazing job, and the city really worked with them. They closed the channel during the swim and all the yachts had to wait for us. And we had 2 lanes of 3 blocked on MAJOR causeways on a weekend morning for goodness sakes! The other cool thing is the venue, downtown and in a park - DS and DH had a great time, too, so I didn't have to worry about them 'sacrificing' for me. It was just a great race, I recommend it to anyone wanting a fun challenge!

  • Comments: This was an EXTREMELY challenging race between the wind and bridges. I would like to try it again. It's kind of interesting at the beginning when they ferry you out near the island you have to jump ship and swim the rest of the way.

  • Comments: This race is unique and the venue is great for the athletes and spectators. I think that the roads will be in much better condition next year when all the construction in downtown is completed.

  • Comments: A bit pricey but not a bad experience in what can most closely resemble Escape from Alcatraz in Miami. The polynisian drum band and the Tiki Torches on Escape Island were pretty cool. So was the boat ride. Is it worth $130? Let's see how I feel tomorrow.
