  • Comments: This was a pretty good race over all. The set up was pretty good and the people were friendly. The finishers certificate was kinda cheap and there were not alot of souvenirs to buy. I had problems with my knees...even before the start of this race so I really wasnt expecting to do too good. I am just happy to have finished it.

  • Comments: There apeared to be a discrepancy on the map pointing relay exchange 3 between north 13th-14th blocks ( in decription ) but if you looked at the map they were between south 13th and 14th....this made the exchange tight on time as we relized we were in the wrong location. Over all a good race

  • Comments: Fairly well organized race. Important to know the expo hotel is nowhere near the race start (which I didn't when I reserved my rooms there). Family fun run is worth every penny of your registration and it all goes to schools. Nice finish. Didn't stay for post race events but they looked fun. The mile markers were not very well paced so I didn't bother using them as any indication of my pace after awhile. My HRM also showed the course as being a little long.

  • Comments: The race was well run and there were lots of volunteers. One odd thing I noted was that they filled the cups with Powerade, but the water cups were only half full (why were they rationing water)? I wasn't happy with the placement of the mile markers though. They weren't accurate and I don't believe the overall race length was accurate either. According to my Garmin, my average pace was 8:48 (which is what I needed to BQ). But when I figure my pace from the total time (based on a 26.2 mile marathon) it figures an average pace of 8:53. Could my Garmin Forerunner 305 have been that far off (it never has been before).

  • Comments: I rate this race a 5 because now after four marathons I'm convinced that I'm not a 'BIG RACE' guy. They're great for bragging but not for my PR. I like the smaller attended races. It's just what's right for me.
