  • Comments: First RM. Personal time estimate was 2:51, so missed it by 34 sec. But swim was appoximately .17 miles too long, adding about 300 yards (or 6 min to swim time). Bike better than expected by 4 min. Run better by 1 1/2 min. Good times. Great weather. Mke "RocketMan" Garrity after awards ceremony- fun and neat! http://www.besttimescct.com/results/Rocketman13.txt

  • Comments: Great swag bag... nice Pearl Izumi tech shirt, Yankz with Rocketman logo on buckle, custom water bottle and finisher SweatVac hat. Very well run and an event I will definitely do again next year!

  • Comments: Glad to have completed my 1st olympic distance! I couldn't have expected to do any better. Kudos to Brian, Brandon & Richard for 2nd place in men's relay! My estimated time was 3 hrs - 30 min swim, 1 1/2 hr bike, 1 hr run. I beat all 3 of those, so was really pleased with my time

  • Comments: I hadn't trained much in a couple of months due to my daughter being born in early June, but I thought I was fit enough to be able and go out and have fun. I was wrong... I started cramping in my quads a bit on the bike around mile 20, and then by the time I was at mile 1 of the run I was finished. Absolutely miserable trying to get through this. Next time I can't train adequately I'll just be skipping the race.

  • Comments: I headed home after I was done, so didn't rate the post race activities. The drink stations were spread out weird. They had one right out of T2, which seems odd since everyone just had the chance to drink on their bike. If they moved that they could have had a station every mile, which would have been nice. Volunteers were great. Especially the military guys from the Arsenal and the ROTC cadets from a local high school. Really cool they came to help out.

  • Comments: Overall, good race. Enjoyed the race, pretty good course, good support. Expo was light, as was the finish area, but overall good support and gracious volunteers.

  • Comments: I did well in this race, especially in the transitions. They still need work but they went well. My bike average would have been right at 20 if I wouldn't have launched a bottle and gone back to get it. I count that as a success as well, even though I think I pushed too hard on the bike because my run was so rough. That could also be attributed to my lack of bricking.
