  • Comments: The only negative was the guys working the water stop. They should've been more vocal. The food was sponsored by Winnie's LeBus. It was excellent. I loved the fruit, yogurt and granola. We were able to score some more swag at the mini expo they had after the race. Love the free stuff! In conclusion, I think missing second place by one second is good for me. It will make me train harder. But seriously, one second!!!!!! I really couldn't catch her?

  • Comments: Upset about the cancellation of the swim but realize they have to be concerned about safety, especially with all the drowings that have happened in the year. The pre-race day pick-up was very unorganized as no one knew where the hell to go. Didn't even bother with the post race buffett as the line was beyond ridiculous. Just grabbed a coke and a luna bar and waited to go to McDonalds afterwards.

  • Comments: Due to horrible weather the race was called before most finished. I was one of those who did. As soon as I finished I grabbed my gear and headed back to my car as did everyone. It was to be my first triathlon but I will find another soon. The organizers did the best they could given the awful weather situation.

  • Comments: Overall, I think this would have been a really great race if not for the severe thunderstorm that rolled through in the middle of it. The course is really nice, the run is a flat out and back, but the bike is interesting with some challenging hills. I can't comment on the swim course, as the swim was cancelled due to river conditions. The only negative was that the organizers postponed the start of the race by almost an hour because they kept waiting for the river to improve enough to allow the swim. If the race had started on time, I think most of the women would have finished before the storm, and it wouldn't have been so chaotic with everyone basically evacuating the race site. Also, I've heard that there was hail in some areas of the bike course while some women were still on the course trying to get back to transition in the middle of the storm.

  • Comments: This is a good race, however, they waited too long to cancel the swim. Because of that, the people in the later waves weren't able to finish the course. Given the circumstances and the rapidly changing weather, they did an excellent job.

  • Comments: Race was giood, Michele is awesome as a race director. everyone handled the fact that it was a du pretty well. My only complaint is the huge line to get to the food tent. They shoulda set up a table with access on both sides - it was so long I skipped it and left.

  • Comments: logistics was a nightmare, beginning with trying to find the packet pickup area on Saturday and ending with their inability to control the crowd at the finish line. I will not be doing this race again. I do have to say, however, that the post race Philly water ice and Philly soft pretzels were great.

  • Comments: I saw lots of drafting and lots of beginners not understanding that they need to stay to the right. Plenty of riders just hanging out on the left side of the lane when they weren't passing anybody. Made it difficult to pass safely.

  • Comments: I think they did a great job switching over to a du at the last second like that (i.e. enough water for first run). Will definitely do CGI events again in the future... That said - I don't like the Diva theme!!!

  • Comments: Since the Tri was turned DU, everyone was finishing close to eachother. The food station was mobbed and the line was LONG! I did not feel like waiting 30 mins for bagel/banana so I took my stuff back to the car. I did however score some nice bike glasses for myself and a friend from a vendor.

  • Comments: There were over 1600 people registered for the race. If they all showed, it would have been even more crowded on bike course. Other than that - well organized, well-marked, well-staffed, fun atmostphere. Great first-timers race - very supportive and encouraging. Nice sections at bike turnaround and finishing chute for supporters to cheer on the athletes.

  • Comments: There seemed to be less volunteers on the bike course this year, which was a pity, as I enjoyed them a lot last year. They made up for it by providing cool-wet-washcloths for our face and necks DURING the run! That was totally awesome :-D

  • Comments: My goal time was 1:35, but honestly that was a bit of a reach. I knew I could come in under 1:40 easily so I wanted to make my goal under 1:40, and 1:35 was the next round number. My overall time was 1:36:40, so I didn’t make 1:35, but I couldn’t be happier with my time. And the fact that I PRed my run by 1:32 is just awesome!

  • Comments: I wish there were more people to cheer us on. Maybe send some volunteers around the bike course to cheer. Also there were no water stations on the bike, need more water. Washcloths were fantastic though! Great idea!
