  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: Only small complaints about this race: need more options for packet pickup, transitions are the worst of any race I've ever been to but I don't know that they have any real way to fix that, and the weather sucked, but that wasn't their fault.

  • Comments: I felt very much like the volunteers had zero idea what to do with someone who got injured. The first few volunteers didn't know where the medical tent was. The doctor seemed in disarray. Evenutally they just sent me on my way with no clear plan on how to get my bike nor my bag from transition. Thankfully my sister and brother-in-law were there to insist on more, as I think the race organizers might have had me wait until after the race to get my things. Was pretty disappointing all around. I shudder to think what would've happened if my injury was more severe.

  • Comments: My first Tri and I thought it was very well run. The entire community seemed to be behind it. I loved the atmosphere and the overall politeness of the other athlete's. It seems like the race is not an indivudal event but a human event. Everyone is helping one another, cheering them on and I loved the Cowbell noise. It just moves me on.

  • Comments: It was the inuagural year, so there are some things to improve, but the location and the courses were great, as were the numerous volunteers. The course was well marked and monitored, and they had closed off much of it to outside traffic. So, the racing itself was awesome. They need to publicize the location of the awards ceremony well ahead, and they need to have free food and drink at that location as well. Also, I only found out that you 'had' to pick up your packet a day in advance, which is a ridiculous waste of gas and time, forcing the race to dominate the whole weekend for a family. It was obvious that they would have to have packets that morning, and they did. Drop the pretense, please. Overall, though, it was a great race, and I will do it again, trusting that next year will be better with everyone's experience.
