  • Comments: Other than the cancelled swim (which was due to reasons not under their control) this was an awesome race and we plan on doing it again next year. From the Little Rev Adventure race the day before to the swag bag which consisted of a long sleeve Tshirt, a Headsweats REV3 Florida visor, a pair of Blue Seventy goggles and more. All that and killer awards if your good enough to place in your age group. Not to mention the food afterwards was provided by Sharkys and it was awesome. Grilled Mahi, dirty rice tossed with andoulli sausage and grilled chicken, ceasar salad, cajun style bbq pulled pork and garlic bread.

  • Comments: This race was great! I love that they allow family members to run down the finishing chute with athletes. Their AG awards are awesome! Medals that mesh with your finishing medal, GC to the store, box of energy chews and a fuel belt! I will definitely be doing another Rev3 race in the future.

  • Comments: The course difficulty was fine, it was the wind that made this super tough for me. I can't really rate the race, since without the swim I did not get the experience I was looking for. I know this is not the organizers fault and I think they did a great job otherwise. Also, since I was feeling terrible I had no chance to enjoy the post-race activities so it it hard for me to assess those as well.

  • Comments: OK - I'm partial to Rev3 races in general (given the fact that I'm on the AG team), and this race certainly lived up to the Rev3 promise! The venue was beautiful, the volunteers were absolutely amazing, and perhaps surprising, the locals were totally in to the race as well! I saw lots of folks out in their yards watching us go by on the bike. People cheered us on from their car. Sharky's at the Pier was a great restaurant with an outstanding vibe. Rev3 certainly couldn't control the weather - but they did their absolute best to make the best out of the conditions. This race will absolutely be on my race calendar again next year.

  • Comments: I heard that one of the men pros commented that the conditions of the race made it the hardest race he had ever done. I agree with him. This was Rev3's first time putting on a race in Florida. It had to compete with Miami 70.3 which was the same day; a long time running oly in the same area; and MiamiMan which is in 2 weeks. As a result, there were just under 500 competitors. I was worried that with that few people, the course would be lonely. It wasn't. The volunteers were all great. I've never been cheered for so much. A lot of locals came out of their houses and cheered us on too. As I was running and starting to break down, I thought, why am I doing this? I am not cut out for this kind of distance. Now that it is over, I'm starting to think I need to go back next year and try this race in better conditions!
