  • Comments: Good race, but expect it to be hot. It's also a great place to take the family as they can hang out, play in the lake, and get to interact/cheer all the racers coming in for both the Half and Int'l.

  • Comments: The lake is what makes this race. It's a wonderful OWS opportunity.

  • Comments: The only disappointment in the end was that this race did not give finisher medals to those in the International distance. Half finishers got them as they finished with the International racers, so there was an odd disparity that I hadn't seen at a race before. Minor point, but kinda disappointing (only went home with my race bib as my momento).

  • Comments: "Back in the day," this event sold out on January 1 when it opened. It was so popular that the had weekend 1 the first weekend of May and weekend 2, the following weekend and both sold out. This year, there were 400 slots and 280 participants. This is not a comment on the event so much as a comment on the state of triathlon. This is a great venue!

  • Comments: Great race, great venue, the added challenge from the cold and wind made it more fun in my opinion. Planning to be back in September for more!
