  • Comments: I have heard it said that this race is the hardest sprint in the state, and possibly the country. Having done it 3 times now, I can certainly say it is far more difficult than any other sprint I've done.

  • Comments: I really like this race. It is short, but challenging due to the hills. I also like the larger than normal ratio of swim to bike & run.

  • Comments: It's my first tri, I can't really compare it to much else. However, I plan on returning and crushing my time from this year. Great job to all volunteers and the organizers, thought they tried and succeeded at making it fun.

  • Comments: This was a fun race. The race could be improved by having a stronger pre-race meeting. I observed many people blocking on the bike course. This was understandable since we were not given a good explanation of the rules. The volunteer support on this race was oustanding. I have never seen so many volunteers with big smiles on their faces.

  • Comments: great even and will do again next year. A great time for first time racers. The neighborhood association had a huge cookout after the race and there was all the food and drink you could want.

  • Comments: This is race is organized by the residents of a lakeside development to benefit a charity for single mothers. The entire population of the subdivision generously volunteer their time and their homes. They opened their homes, ferried racers to the start in their boats, patrolled the swim course, manned the turns and drink stations, and cooked an awesome post-race barbecue. Don't let the relatively short distances fool you - the hills make for a very challenging race. This is not a course where you will set a PR, but you will feel like you've accomplished something when you cross the finish line. I will definitely do it again.

  • Comments: This is the first year back for this race. They did a pretty good job, it was not chip timed, so there is no way to check to see how I did in each area. I was rather disappointed by that. The after race stuff was pretty good, although the sister-in-law of the race director got the prize for traveling the farthest for the race (I think that was pretty cheesy). I am hoping they continue the race, and next year chip time it.
