  • Comments: Without volunteers events like these would just not work and peoples' well being would be jeopardized. I appreciate all of the hard work these fine folks put in to make this one of the premier 10k races in the country. This event has been going on yearly for 35+ years and it shows. Very well run event. The organizers obviously look for ways to improve the event and listen to feedback from participants and volunteers. I will definitely run this again next year (God willing and the creeks don't rise!)

  • Comments: There's no race quite like the Bellin Run having the streets lined with people cheering, music, people spraying hoses, a band at the 6 mile mark to give you that extra push at the end. They did a corral start this year which I think worked wonderfully versus the wave start.

  • Comments: You really cannot beat the support the community provides for this run. There is no place on the course where there isn't a spectator (10+ spectators actually) cheering. I wonder how much growth they are looking for the race. 18,000 is a LOT of people, about enough to draw the line I think.

  • Comments: A great day. A PR, top 10 age finish and had many family members running the race. I had a blast and a PR to top it off. could not ask for much more.

  • Comments: If you like crowds this is your race. With 17000 people, there is no way to PR on this race. You do it to be part of one of the biggest 10K in the country. Besides that, there isn't much of a reason to go through so many people. The wave start too forever to get across the start line but it did help with crowds. The finish was much better :)

  • Comments: I love this race. The support from the community is incredible. So many people cheering us on, people stand out in their yards and spray hoses to cool us down, and despite being the 4th (thanks, Sarah!) largest 10K in the US, it runs smoothly with a lot of volunteers, and everything is planned out very well. Tons of medical help all along the course as well. I'm amazed by the kids who run this. The schools in the area have a program that trains them for the race which is optional after school. I'm talking probably 7yrs and up.....I could not believe my 8yr old cousin ran it (so sad I missed a picture with him). When I was 14 I thought 6 miles was FOREVER and these kids are doing it. It's great, especially when obesity numbers are alarming!

  • Comments: If you can, do THE Bellin. Free cookies and nice folk at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.I hope to do it again next year to try to get below 1 hour. I was proud that I listened to my body, but didn't give up totally. I am not one to push myself and instead look at the weather, other runners, listen to birds, others' conversation, etc. In races I almost never start out too fast, and even though I did and had slower splits and knew I was getting slower during the race, I kept focused mentally.

  • Comments: My first time doing the Bellin and I'm impressed. The support to run this large of a race (4th largest in country?) is amazing. There were lots of people, and I had to do lots of moving around but overall it was pretty cool to see SO many people out. For a good cause, too. And, I go to Bellin for care so that's another plus.

  • Comments: I want to thank my dad for his help and support this race. We came home to banner from Mom which was wonderful. I am glad I beat last years time but I know I can do better. This race went drastically downhill from last year because there are just too many people and I think it really hurts the small town feel of the race. I am honestly not that excited about doing it in the future if it is going to be like this. :(

  • Comments: The number of participants definitely made this less than a perfect race. There is a trade off of quantity vs. quality. The souvenir time chip is neat. We felt bad that there was no medal for finishers. I don't know how many more people they can handle before this is just too big-- maybe that's already happended. Again, the best part of this race was being able to run it with Pam and finish together (actually she beat me by 1 second). When we got home, Joanie had made each of us a banner which was really nice. It was a very good day!

  • Comments: As always, the Bellin Run is a really nice event. Very organized and very well put together. There was 12,908 people registered for the run and walk events. They had some big names running it too - like Bill Rodgers. For me this was a good event. I improved my time by 2:30 with about the same effort as the year before. Nice to see improvements like this from a good year of training.

  • Comments: A great experience to be a part of 30th anniversary run with over 10,000 entrants. Accomplished almost exactly the same time as lst Bellin run 5 years prior at the 25th anniversary. Will definitely do again next year!

  • Comments: I had a great race. Congrats to everyone! This was Bellin's 30th year and a great way to really enter the racing world. The crowd and the volunteers made my first 10K really special and one that I will certain remember for the rest of my life. I am a little sore through the hip area and hopefully that is just from the stress of the run. I am volunteering tomorrow at the Green Bay Triathlon so this will be a great race weekend!

  • Comments: This was the 30th Anniversary for the Bellin Run. This event was huge. They had 10,324 people registered for the whole thing (kids run, 10k Run, 10K walk , 10K wheelchair). There were plenty of volunteers all over the place, plenty of parking, huge food tent, they had a chiropractor giving free adjustments afterward (which I took up) and people giving free massages after the run. Amys mom wanted one, so we waited in line and since we were waiting in line anyways, Amy and I got one also. I would highly recommend this race to anyone. Its a very well, put together event!
