  • Comments: I did enjoy the race, but felt that it had lost a little of the fun vibe that I've come to expect form DA races. No jokes from the announcer, not a lot of music, and wouldn't let me bring my Halloween balloon into transition. Not a huge deal, but this event in particular used to have an extra laid back/fun feel to it. Wondering if the partnership w/ Playtri is influencing that. Overall well done, and I do like the venue. Officials handled our needs re: insulin pumps well, and that is always appreciated.

  • Comments: SO much fun! It was my first ever triathlon, and it was the perfect distance/course to formally introduce me to the sport. I've fallen in love with it, and I can't wait to do this race again next year!

  • Comments: I dont have anything to compare this too, but things seem to go pretty smoothly for there being 700 plus participants. I would definitely consider doing this one again next year to end my season if travel plans allow. People were very friendly and helpful. They need to change the swim

  • Comments: As always Dallas Athletes Racing did a great job with the event. Pancakes and hot coffee after the run was awesome. I also really enjoyed the bike jersey that was given to all the finishers. Something different than your usual T-Shirt and socks. The only thing I didn't like was the swim set up but I understand why they are doing it the way they have it set up.

  • Comments: My rating would be a 5 except for the swim delay. I don't know how that could be improved upon. The race organizers and volunteers were great. The race seemed to be very organized. I was very impressed. I was very happy I chose this for a first race.

  • Comments: Body marking process could use some fine tuning. My half ironman with over 2500 racers went smoother than this race with only 800 racers. Volunteers were great though.

  • Comments: There are some things DA does that are really good, but sometings that are always an issue. Tom always makes the races fun and very un-intimidating for the first timers. They always seem to have issues with results and having people wait way too long for awards. Monster is kind of a legacy race for me. It's so close to my house that it's hard to say no to it. I do think that it is getting too big though. Having people wait over 2 hours to get into the pool is too long. Still had fun and a great way to end the season.

  • Comments: DA sprint races are probably the most expensive in the area but the swag and post race merits it. Race was delayed slightly but probably just as well to let the sun come up.

  • Comments: After my first full season of doing triathlons, I can say without a doubt that I like the events put on by Dallas Athlets the best. I LOVE how they keep it fun all the way through, welcome newcomers, and take great care of everyone racing at the same time. I talked to Tom (I think that's who it was...he was dressed as Princess Leia) in transition about a medical issue. You would have never known how busy he probably was by the way he handled it. This was also my very first tri a couple years ago, and it's in part due to the people who run this race that I'm still coming back for more.

  • Comments: Dissappointed in the swim portions organization. They need to plan that out and put people in order. 682 people take a long time to swim, so it needs to be much more organized.

  • Comments: Overall my goal for my first tri was to just have fun and try to do my best! (Since I like a numerical goal, my secondary one was to beat 1:15:00.) I had a great time and accomplished both of these! I'll be back next year for sure. My boys want to do the kids race on Saturday next year as well.

  • Comments: Apparently the griddle wouldn't heat up, so no pancakes. :-( But credit to the team for improvising with donuts, snack mix, cookies, cereal, etc. Plenty to munch on. Chatted with Aaron, Marci, Steve, and Shannon. The skies had clouded and the wind picked up; it was getting cool. It was going to be a while until everyone finished, so we took the kids to McDonalds for pancakes before coming back for awards.

  • Comments: Still a great race, however I think it is growing too big for its location. The indoor pool with the seeded start is pretty terrible if you're towards the back as you can wait quite some time to get into the pool. Still a great beginner race, but I think they need to start limiting the number of participants.

  • Comments: I did not know that we were going to get a finishing medal. That was a surprise. This was my second Tri and I placed second in my clydsdale division. I am racing in this division as a goal to get out of the division and race in my own age group. I love this sport.
