• Description: Athletes will swim a 1.2-mile, one-loop course in the fresh, calm waters of Lake Burley Griffin. Water temperatures are expected to be in the high 60s. The 56-mile bike course will take athletes along the shores of Lake Buley Griffin and Canberra's highways, urban and rural roads. The 13.1-mile, two-loop run course goes through beautiful parks and landmarks such as the National Museum of Australia and Australian National University.
