Moving Your Planned Training Days

How to rearrange your workouts in the BT Training Calendar

Not everyone prefers short workouts Monday through Friday, with long runs and rides on the weekends. For some people, child care schedules, nontraditional work schedules, or school can get in the way of the triathlon training plans on BT or any other triathlon training website.

Here at BT, we want you to have the flexibility to move your training to the days that suit your schedule, while keeping your overall distances and weekly increases intact.

So how do you do this?

Check out the Planned Training Calendar, which is accessed from a button at the top of your My Planned Training page.

If you click the button, you'll see your triathlon training plan laid out in calendar format, showing your weekly totals on the right, and how much more or less you have left to do. But the magic doesn't end there!

Move your mouse over any of the workouts on the calendar. You'll see the mouse arrow turn into a cross shape. Now click the workout, and you'll find you can slide it over to a different day! Awesome! Once you rearrange your training to suit your schedule, review it to be sure you aren't overloading a single day, or ruining the usual pattern of increasing for three weeks and then recovering for a week.

When you move the workouts in your calendar, give it a day before they are updated in your personal calendar, if you are using the Calendar Sync feature to pull your workouts into your Outlook or Google calendar.
