Oh.My.Word.  For some reason I think I sweat overtime today.  Brutal but hey, it's fat cells crying or so they say...
Resistance 3 later--have the feeling it will be super hard.
OMG, the idiots in IT did it again.  Some brain trust put out a new home page for us.  Here's the deal.....my links to criteria and to the coding program do not work right in the normal sign in mode. I put in my user name/ password and hit enter--to have the whole thing erase on me...SO, for a month I have gone in a round about way on work net.  Except now some brain trust put up this new page and it doesn't have the *&#%$)!@#)*& links I need!!
Incompetent people...seriously.  My allergist office called me to say they couldn't process my referral to some other doc....Umm, I never asked for a referral.  Check your HIPAA details before making an outbound call.  Nobody's PHI was violated or I might be raising all sorts of hell--but you check the name of [...]

Yikes!  Major PF flare-up in right foot after yesterday.  I am sure was a combo of a ton of walking, plus the race.  I am stretching, etc., hope it's temporary.

I feel like a real triathlete again after being only a "runner" for so many years. Sure I've done a few tris the last couple of years but I can't remember the last time where I consistently RAN and BIKED and SWAM, all of them, every week. Go me! Ready to rock out this summer tri season. First one in 2 weeks!

Had such a great time in Moab this weekend!! We had 14 girls from the team there. 10 in my condo who all had a blast riding and hanging out together, and the rest in another condo who we hardly saw (drama, boo). Great riding, I will say a few days on that rock is like tech bootcamp - I definitely feel like it made me a better rider. On the flip side, I came home with some sort of overuse injury in my arm, which sort of sucks. Dr. Google indicates that I have a strained bicep or bicep tendon. It's my left arm and will affect painting, so that sucks. I will definitely be taking it easy this week, with lots of time on the road and no technical mountain biking until it heals.
I'm driving to Ft. Collins to get frames today, and Fairplay to get frames tomorrow. Normally that would kind of suck after driving to and from Moab, but it's probably perfect timing. I'll rest my arm since I'm not painting, and honestly, a few quiet hours  in the car are just fine for this introvert wh[...]

First Monday night ride with the Monday Night Misfits! I haven't ridden with them since 2011. Now that I'm working from home on Mondays and Tuesdays I have the flexibility to get up to CL on Monday nights... and since I'll be getting home lateish, and I am not required to get up really early on Tuesday AM to catch a train, this could work! I think I'm going to swim on Tuesdays, and maybe also throw down a shorter walk.
Blister feels better. Hurt a little yesterday on the bike, but it's generally OK. Rest Friday Mexico Freebie day. Long Walk (In Mexico) Shorter Bike Shorter Walk Swim Swim (Mexico?) Short Walk
No long bike this week. Maybe I will lift or something while in Mexico.

Restless and anxious waiting to hear the job news. My head is getting the best of me and preparing for a double rejection - it's certainly possible that I could come in a close 2nd or 3rd on both roles and not get any offers at all. I hate to think that way, but I have to start mentally preparing for anything.
Forecast for Saturday is looking miserable - 80% chance of wind (25mph+), rain and thunderstorms in the morning during Tour de Cure. I will be out there rain or shine, but hoping the weather pattern shifts.

Still so sick. Can't even contemplate running. It was almost humorous when the "we don't prescribe antibiotics" urgent care place called Saturday to say my throat swab results were negative for a bacterial infection (I don't really think she even hardly swabbed) and that I must be feeling better, right? I actually said "Not really, now it's moved into my chest and added a deep cough" when they said that maybe I should come back in it was easy to say "No, that's ok.". What a waste of time and money that experience was. I can gargle salt water for free.
We have our first house showing this evening. Gotta tread extra careful on this one as it puts our realtor under dual-agency. I will absolutely be doing a quick drive by though of the house and her office while they're there to see if they are the same truck that drove by Saturday. I guess they could have multiple vehicles, but still gonna check it out. A truck drove around the back (dead end alley) while we were up on the roof hangin[...]

Ride on tap in the woods. The world continues to spin on it's axis, so maybe I'll swim again this week. You know, just to make sure the we aren't going through the apocalypse  In other news, it has been determined that I enjoy a beer with a lower IBU. One should do all types of testing, in order to figure out balance in life.
From a stop on my way to work:

I had a really good training weekend. I have felt like I was not making too much progress over the last several weeks (taking a full week mostly off when I took my kids to DC really put a crimp in my training). I had 3 break through workouts over the weekend, one in each discipline, and, while not ideal, that was good for me. I was pretty well exhausted after each one. My run was really hard on Sat afternoon and I spent the rest of the day on the couch. Sunday I did some house cleaning stuff in the morning and then rode my 36.5. I was exhausted afterwards and spent the rest of the day on the couch again. I didn't have any soreness and feel pretty good today. Also, my ankle is feeling good as well.

I'm slowly building myself up to 60 miles on the bike, I want to ride the relentless hills course at the end of next month.
