OMG!!! Great race. Felt awesome, no pain, definitely driven to push on.  Though about doing another run this afternoon but wasn't sure if I should push it.

Tiiiired. Didn't get much sleep last night since someone decided to wake up several times & was awake for a little while each time (including from 1:45-3:15). Going to spend as much of the day relaxing & watching football as possible in between prepping food. Bringing dinner to my coworker's house this evening - his wife just had their second boy on Oct 14. Gives us a chance to repay the favor (they brought us dinner after Chase was born) & meet their newest addition too!

first run with the altra's.  good run.  a little sore in some new places, but that could also be from not running more than 6.5 miles in one sitting in two weeks.  Will do it again tomorrow.  in the meantime, compression socks for the day :)

Couple of thoughts on the heart rate.  For the last 1/3 of the run it was in the high 160's-low 170's.  thought it meant the strap wasn't working again, but when i hit my walk part it went down to where it should be.  so the average hr above may be high, but i couldn't find a valid reason other than the high number to change it.

Next week I'll be doing a yoga intensive - 5 days in a row of the same routine.  I wonder if it will be feel boring come Friday?  Anyway, I've been looking for more yoga but have a hard time motivating myself to get to an evening class. This is from 7:15-8:15, so I can fit it in before work and just start a little later each day.   Should be fun!

I got there early so I did about 2 - 2.5 miles on my own.  We were supposed to do 4 as a group but the consensus from the running apps said we did around 3.7.  I am guessing in the middle of the range.  Fun, we did most of the loop from the other night without the trip over to the high school..  Next week we are running at Henricus park.
I was able to keep the kid in my sights about 200 yards ahead of me the whole time, progress.....Old Milt stayed right on my feet.  He's mid to late 60's and has a long health history--he referees soccer part time and is good at that final sprint to finish.
Getting some work done then going out on the bike.  Such a gorgeous day for a ride!!

Supposed to be a beautiful weekend here. Going to get my fall trees planted, my mowing done, and some brush mowing around the woods.

Looking thorugh some of my old workout files this morning, I came across this article on bodyweight exercises: http://koreantaekwondo.tripod.com/articles/exercises.htm

Goal for the upcoming week is to do a combination of some of these exercises for 30 minutes each morning.

I decided NOT to do the half in January. From where I am now to 13.1 in 12 weeks is not wise. BUT there is a Superhero 5K some other friends are doing, that could work!

P90X3 - Day 13
Did the P90X3 routine of the day then picked up Y and Dud for the YMCA Halloween 5k.  It was a good event and neat that we all placed in our age group!  Always fun spending time with them!!
