Nate's tied up the next couple days with his conference, so I'm hanging with the kids. Pretty much chilling at the pool, and heading out for meals since the hotel restaurants are stupid expensive (I just paid $9 for a cup of plain coffee in the Cafe!). I'll try to sneak away for a quick bike ride today or tomorrow. Wish I had my foam roller - legs are still tight from my epic ride on Tuesday!
Need to set up my computer and do some work at some point - I'm behind on emails and phone calls!

After 2 days of on and off rain showers, DH has looked at the yard and admitted we need to hire a professional. He is tired of trying to mess with it and now the kids swingset area is flooded. He wants to wait until the fence is put in since there will be lots of dirt to move around again from digging the post holes.
In other news, someone posted on our local cycling group that there will be a local bicycle race memorial weekend. Interesting. 25 miles but I don't know any other details. The HIM is June 7th if I get myself in gear to race and the weather is decent.
My foot is feeling really really good. No pain at all walking around. I can get out of bed barefoot with no pain. I can walk around all day with no pain. I can feel the irritated spot when I stretch really deep. I'm not sure where to go from here. It is such a relief to not have pain  every day I think I may just try to enjoy that for a while! Swings: tried the 36kg bell super heavy but a lot easier than last time. Sets of 5. Seemed like many many swings.
Shoulder is pretty trashed from Wed. Today didn't help. Oh well. Rode my new bike to and from the class. Super fun!

Stats taken after run and before dinner, %water 68.1, muscle 37.6, bone 3.9. As I'm in a race on Sunday, Jamie decided to not really tax me too much during the run today. So just a short one. I'll tell ya, though, this was Z2 and pace was between 8:15 - 8:30. Didn't really seem like that much effort. If I could run like that during Boston, it'll be a good.

Speaking of the race this Sunday, the temperature forecast just looks dreadful! I honestly don't know what to wear. Don't want to overheat on the run by wearing too much but also don't want to freeze on the bike either. I'll decide tomorrow or perhaps just take a couple of options and decide later. It's going to be in the 30s with a bit of wind. So, really considering just wearing my black cold weather gear bike outfit and just dealing with in the two runs. I'm just afraid I'll get too cold otherwise. I may try to wear leg/arm warmers as a base, then running tights, long sleeve shirt on top, wind vest and tri suit. [...]

Breakfast: raw apple pear tart
Snack: small avocado, 1 T coconut nut butter 
Snack: small banana & about 20 almonds
Dinner: turkey breast, mashed potatoes with gravy & spinach salad with strawberries, walnuts, goat cheese & O&V
Snack: handful of Ruffles (god I love sour cream and onion - exercising mega self control here!)
Consumed < 1700 calories.
 I always eat up to the maintenance amount - exercise or no.  Hungry as I type this.

I'm going to swim tonight. I decided this while I was awake from 2 - 3 a.m. {but only till 3 a.m.! I took a swig of Z-Quill when I realized I was not falling back asleep. I feel so smart}. I am scared that my shoulder is going to hurt. And scared that I will get frustrated with the part of triathlon I love the most and that comes easiest to me. But I gotta try, I've gotta get back in there. My training plan starts next week and I have 2 swims a week on it. 
And then there's yoga. I think back to the time I was feeling and training at my best - and I was religiously doing a Monday night yoga class. Just checked the Y schedule and there's a 5:30 class downtown Monday nights that would be completely ideal.

Early morning at the Y and then off to the hospital. My mom was taken off critical care status this morning and was moved out of the SICU this evening. She is now in a regular room. She is doing great! I am working from the hospital and from home. So thankful my company is allowing me to work remote. I would be a mess if I couldn't b here with family.

Four miles or cross train.  Might just ride the bike in the fitness center to go easy on the legs.  
Resting the legs.  Quads were cramping up from the way I had to crunch up in the cube with my trainee.
Crazy day.
No furniture delivery. They claim I never called back.  Coming next week.
