I've been pretty focused on better nutrition this week and am starting to feel pretty good. Weighed myself out of curiosity and the scale hasn't budged, but it feels like I'm not carrying around as much water.

Steve has knee replacement surgery tentatively scheduled for December 5th. His left knee has been going downhill for years, and our Grand Canyon hike last November was probably the nail in the coffin. Good thing is, he can bike without any problems, but can't walk around the neighborhood much.

First day back at school workout didn't go as planned. Technically didn't even "go". I woke up to literally freezing temps. Decided on the treadmill which I haven't used since refinishing the floors. It will need some major adjustments before being usable again. So, went back to bed frustrated about getting ready for nothing and then took forever to fall back asleep :(.
Maybe not a huge loss as my left inner thigh is so so sore I probably wouldn't have made it very far today.

8:05am: Not Friday.
Didn't do 5x5 yesterday -- by the time Kate got done, I was already done. I got a walk in and then in the course of waiting, I just lost all motivation to do anything. AND I was starving.
If it's not raining, I'll head to the stairs today. I also might make up the 5x5 session -- that's definitely in the "UNDECIDED" column for the moment.
Boss brought in homemade banana bread. YUM. He's a good egg, ya know?
Seriously considering this for next year: http://grandtetonhalfmarathon.com/    It would make a great vacation (Grand Tetons are pretty high on my list of places that I want to see) and it's fairly flat and I think it would be fun. AND there's a full refund policy if I decide not to do it before April 7th.

Home, traffic wasn't too  awful....the usual slow downs near southern MD/ northern VA.....In general it moved okay, but the lane changers who don't look before doing so are just plain scary.
Grocery shopping....joyous.  Maybe out on the bike for a bit.  Gym.  Huge SNAFU at the grocery store, as in I had all my groceries checked through the scanner and bagged....and the register computer froze.  They had to reboot the computer and take me over to customer service to pay--at least they didn't have to rescan everything...but it took forever.  Got my groceries put away and got some lunch.  Made some gazpacho and folded laundry from last night.  
Kind of a good thing I didn't go ride today, my legs would not have handled that workout well after a ride....
