So incredibly sore from painting this weekend. Couldn't hardly walk at first this morning and needed to skip my run to make four quiche Lorraine for school anyway. My arms and back are fine, but my legs are pretty bad. I think it's actually from going up and down the stairs so much more than the actual painting.

Travel Day.  I also sent my company an email with my two weeks notice.  The new company called Thursday night to say that everything was finalized, but I had so much going on getting ready for my solo bike and the trip that I didn't worry about it until now.  Excited to only have nine days left in my current position!

A bit of a late start to the day this morning as the office I am in wasn't available until almost 8:00 am. So, my run is done and I am good to go. However, the never ending BIL visit means that plans were made for me and I will not be in the pool this afternoon. I should get that in tomorrow morning. ETA: Someone else needed the office, so I am back at my desk. Today's plan seems like nearly every other day here at work. Meh.
Good weekend full of projects, the shed is clean, the windows are done and the garage was cleaned out and straightened up. A bike rack was finally built. That really helped tighten things up. Nice to get it done. I have maintenance on all of the bikes sometime this week, as there is dirt and grime everywhere on Le Fantome' and PJ.

Another vacation day - I almost went into work because I have no real plans, but decided that I'd make it a productive day.  So, since it's kind of grey outside, I'm going to work on photos:  tagging the ones that are already scanned, scanning in some of my own, organizing and coming up with a solid plan for creating a family-wide photo collection that all of us can contribute to.
Aside from that, I've got a book that I started last night that I can't wait to get back to, a trainer beatdown this afternoon, I need to do laundry and some food prep and -- as always -- walks with the dogs.

The weather is skechy. Potential TStorms and 25 mph winds again. One minute it is sunny and the next it looks like it could start to storm. I will probably be on the trainer today.
DS has basketball camp this morning then his cousin is coming over for the day.
Feet are doing much better today. My arch is tight but so far I am keeping the knot out of my heel. Score one for me. Soaking my foot in a small tub of warm Epsom Salts then rolling and stretching is helping. Not that I want to try to run today or anything :). I think I need to keep the runs at 2-2.5 miles for now. Both times I've stretched it to 3 my feet have not been happy.

I intended to let myself "sleep in" this morning until 5:30 and work out this afternoon instead....but when I found myself lying wide awake at 4:56am (had been awake a long while before that, that's just the first time I looked at the clock), I figured I might as well get up and work out!  Ugh.  Always difficult mentally to come back to work after a great mini-vacation, and it really doesn't help when I'm extra tired to boot!

May take a recovery day. Seems sort of wimpy to take one today when I just took one on Friday, but I slept through my proposed AM workout and I have an errand to run for a friend after work. Maybe I can do a bike ride or something once I get home after I drop off this stuff for my friend. We'll see. Sort of a shame to burn my recovery day today.

Was going to meet a friend after work for a bike ride, but she had to cancel.  I think it turned out for the best, because our nice weather forecast from last night turned into a rainy afternoon by this morning.   I was a little bummed to have to unpack my stuff from the car, which I had so impressively prepared.     Tonight: swim/run.  I will swim first and then run, which actually turns out to be convenient today, although seems kind of backwards.  It will be a 4 shower kind of day...

Is there anything better than vacation? Went for a training walk, walked the dog, and ate breakfast with Kona reruns in the background. I'm planning on hitting the pool a bit later, and there's a few errands to run. We don't actually set out for Niagara Falls until a bit later this week, so these couple days are all relaxation at home. :)
