Leg feels better, so I am pretty sure the discomfort yesterday was just due to gait/foot problems.   Foot is still sensitive.
Yesterday as soon as I took off my work shoes (basic comfort flats) and put on my gym shoes - instant relief of about 85% of symptoms.  Tonight I'm going to DSW to make a return and plan to buy some kind of black tennis shoe with support to wear at work.   The Skecher slipons have been great for general soft comfort, but I need something like a trainer.

Fairly uneventful prep. Took it easy last night reading and watching tv while staying close to the bathroom. Actually got more sleep than I expected. I kept thinking of David Goggins phrase - "Embrace the suck" It's amazing how powerful your mind can be. Attitude really is everything!

Modified low impact to appease the lungs.  It's a HIIT style workout. roughy 1 -2 minutes cardio followed by light weight high reps different muscle groups.  Good workout.  Wish my lungs were more cooperative.
Applications have been filled out to all schools, transcripts requested.  Whoever gives me the best option on my transfer credits will see my money.
Tomorrow starts my 6 weeks +/- of commuting to train people.  I will be scarce in these parts.

Just went to the doc to get a new inhaler. I feel like I'm over the cold I had last week, but still have allergies, and he was completely horrified at my nose and throat. I thought I was feeling pretty decent, but apparently not! I am to get the Neti Pot out and rinse once a day, and start flonase. Also got a scrip for a new inhaler. This doc races mountain bikes and is soooo helpful about stuff - so glad I found him last year when I busted the rib.
Half Growler is in FOUR DAYS!!! Eek!! Can't believe this is the week already!
I feel like I'm as prepared as I'm going to be. I have put in consistent hours and done different intervals than I've ever done. I've done consistent long rides through the spring. I did a 4.5 hour, 4,000 ft ride last weekend, which is close to the race time for me. I have my nutrition strategy down solid. And while I'm not completely confident in my tech skills right now, I feel like they're solid enough to do the job. This is a hard, technical, "real[...]

Apparently we don't have to come into the office this week. So that allows more time to train during lunchtime! How exciting. Therefore, I will do a long swim at lunch and then a short bike after work. Or, maybe a long swim in the AM. Wouldn't that be novel? Getting up to do something other than go to the bathroom. haha. We'll see.
Long swim = 3200 + Meters. Looking for a workout now.
Then, I think next week will be a recovery week. With a flattish century on Sunday followed by the U2 concert. How will I stay awake for all of this? And why does U2 only tour in Ironman years?  Short Walk Long Bike Long Walk Short Swim Long Swim ↵

6:59am: Time feels all weird these days. I have a hard time remembering what day it is. Sometimes it'll even take me a few moments to recall what time of year it is. Life was so much more structured when I was back in school and the year was divided into segments.
Headache this morning, but not my usual migraine-like headache, but probably either sinus or allergies. More annoying than painful. Slept poorly last night and that's not helping either. Hoping meds kick in soon. I'm a firm believer in better living through chemistry!
Walk/run type thing this afternoon, I think. Hoping that the rain will give me a window to get outside, otherwise it's the treadmill for me.

Elbow didn't really bother me. Picked up a dumbbell to do curls, and it hurt then, so I stopped immediately.

Got half my planters done, and put a flat of begonias in front of the new hedges today. Still have to buy plants for the last 3 planters, more impatiens and a few more begonias. I had fun at the farmers market picking and choosing, but next round I think I'll go to Bordines or Home Depot. We shall see.

Got in the bike at Indian Springs, but it was raining when I finished and I just did not want to get soaked or bit by more mosquitos, so hit the treadmill when I got home to run instead.

Tomorrow its off to the D for early Anniversary celebrations. Not packed, gotta dye my hair and yeah. Just not ready. It will be fun to run away from home for a couple days though. :D

didn't get to the gym yesterday - worked through lunch (eating at my desk) and then life took over after I got home. Will try again today.

Cut at 1045 am will see how that affects my chances of working out at lunch.

Garage has to be cleaned by tomorrow or Thursday so that is happening after work. Chris took today off to ride long and get started on that. Epoxy floor and cabinets coming to the garage - only 6-7 days it will take. Never realize everything you have in the garage until you have to completely empty it.
