The outfit I was wearing a couple of days ago whilst atop that rented mule was by Danskin (like the triathlon!) and was, apparently, sweeping the nation.

Aspen's got an early release from school today, so I'm gonna paint then go get her - no bike ride for me. Hopefully I can sneak in a run or some yoga when Nate gets home tonight. 
I totally bribed Aspen to go for a bike ride when I got her from school. I figured since Owen wasn't home, we could go ride some easy trails. She did really awesome, but there's always a lot of whining when any hills are involved. Next time, I will bring one of her friends along so she doesn't whine at me so much! I asked her what her favorite part was, and she said "Riding over the bumpy parts!"

Needed to decompress. Decided to just spend the rest of the day alone and catch up on my shows and do a lot of burpees!! My patience and tolerance are gone. It's hard for me to spend so much time with someone that is so superficial, self important with a huge sense of false self confidence! Shallow. Shallow.

Have plans already to travel to Oklahoma City next week- my new boss called and she is having pregnancy complications so cannot travel by doctors orders. So instead of her plan to meet me in Kansas on Thursday she said they will give me a company car to drive down there and meet her team (including another newbie), have lunch, and get back by 5 p.m. SWEET!

So, news here on late season planning. I'm dropping B2B off the schedule, but I think I'll pick up FS Half...and I threw my hat in the ring to pace City of Oaks full marathon, hopefully the 3:30 group. That's a 8:01/mile pace. When I last ran City of Oaks in 2008, I went 3:23. Since then I've gone 3:13, 3:15, 3:15 on different courses, so I feel confident a 3:30 will be "comfortable" for a marathon.

That said, the course is not easy and will require some work in the late summer to be ready for an 11/2 marathon. Means runs through August on asphalt, in NC. Oof.

Pretty windy today, solid headwind for most of the run...but it was a good one.
WOOT!! I am signed up for the Ashland 10K race on Saturday morning and the Powhatan Metric Century on Sunday.  Gonna be a fun weekend!

Stats taken after workout and before dinner, %water 60.2. As it was going to be a light day anyway, I decided to do the yoga DVD I like rather than spin on the CT. I started to stretch at the gym, looked at the time, and thought I should just come home and do the yoga DVD instead of just stretching and then spinning. I think that was a better solution this evening. I've been thinking that I may just have to not do any running until just before or a few days before the half marathon, much like I did for the AG Nationals last August. Though things are better this evening and rather than push things, it seems that it might be better for me to be completely healed before the race. Just turn out to be better for it. However, I might also get new shoes on Sat and will need to test those before the race. I actually already did a short test when I tried them on once and pretty sure they will work. Dare I even whisper the words... it wasn't THAT bad today???  No, I really shouldn't have done that because now somehow the universe will conspire to get it back to him that he didn't actually kill me today... Dangit, I've totally just screwed myself!

MS2: 3 rounds through of...
1 minute plank / 3 push-ups
45 second plank / 4 push-ups
30 second plank / 5 push-ups

1 minute of lunges per leg with 12lb medicine ball on shoulder
