Good, but tiring weekend. Yesterday, I met up with friends for lunch and had an awesome time ... and then came home and absolutely crashed for about 1.5 hours. Got up and went to my parents' house for corned beef and cabbage (delayed a week due to my illness last week) and made it until about 8pm and had to leave and immediately came home and went to bed.
The moral of the story?  I'm feeling much better -- just about normal -- but still really tired. Life can be exhausting still, ya know? It's getting better, though.

If anyone wants to weigh-in, I am debating whether i should register for the Marine Corps marathon.  I have a guaranteed entry, but I wasn't planning on running a marathon this year (or going back to DC for what would be a third time...).   I can register and defer for a year (extra $240), give the entry code away, or transfer later (only $50 but I lose the ability to register again.
Basically the marathon last year was really hard on me.   I didn't enjoy the training and I suffered on the long runs with painful back.  The race wasn't terribly fulfilling because I couldn't get past my own attitude.  I don't believe i am cut out for the distance.
However...  my mental game is improved, I think I have some progress on the back pain, and i have heard SO MUCH good about this race.  I am lucky to have this option.  I'm also in a better position, running wise, than I was last year at this point - and, the race is two full months later.

Everything went against getting this swim in. Woke up feeling lazy but decided to go. Lifeguard shows up 30 minutes late so lost that time shooting the bull with some other swimmers. Then 20 minutes in they took away half the lap lanes for an aqua jogging class. But stayed and finished and glad I did!

It's ride your bike Sunday. Not sure how far I'll go, as much as I want to ride longer I know my legs & butt aren't ready. I really did want to ride longer, almost kept going up River Road---but I am out of Gu and didn't want to make a store stop for junk food to give calories for a longer ride.  My quads were really feeling it on my last climb up Branders Bridge.  Definitely the wiser call to keep it shorter.  I'll grab Gu at the packet pickup for the 10K anyway.--Not a lot, but a few of them so I can have some in the bento bag.

Wow fell asleep at 8:45 on the couch last night and didn't get out of bed until 6 this morning! That is a LOT of sleep for me but I still feel tired. I'm starting to think there is something wrong with me. 
Early church, then took the kids over to the inlaws for the kids annual photo in the daffodils. My sister in law took the pics for me this year yay. They cooperate a lot more for her than they do for me. Home for 10 min the neighbor kids are here lol. 
Weather is 55 and 15 mph winds. I am planning on riding. I should get out of the house but I will ride the trainer. I was cold and uncomfortable being out when we did the photos much less trying to ride.

SLOW progress in the Get Lean project. I'm moving in the right direction and I feel like I'm not being completely obsessive about things. Geeze, it seems like it went on a whole lot faster than it's coming off though. lol!

Raining out today, so I guess there's no excuse. Back to the paperwork dungeon for me! We've had a steady stream of distractions this tax season - the mil's surgery, Fred's lodge schedule, family visits, and a couple of funerals. I've decided rather than make myself crazy, we'll have to keep working after the 1st. Not going to keep regular office hours (Ha - Like we ever do!) but I'd rather put a few extra hours in early April than have work to do over the summer. The last couple of days have been a really nice mix of outside and office. That's what I want to keep going.

Went to Conor's track meet today. He did Disc, Shot and Javalin....pretty cool! Then
got dog food, Conor's hair cut, saw Beauty and the Beast for Mary's Birthday, then mexican dinner. Tried to fix Mary's car after that, but I"m not having the best of luck here.

Race went well despite a bad (boaty/gassy) stomach yesterday and into the evening and hardly any sleep. Ran just what my Vdot says I could for a half. Didn't have any major goal other than sub 2 and neg split. Done and done. Weight was not great this am, and my gut was off yesterday and into the evening even with the plain foods/no dairy.

Breakfast and track stack worked well. BUT...I did get nauseous a few different times during the run and almost made a porta potty stop at 10, but decided it was a body request, not a body demand. ;).

Stopped at Nell and Daves' after to get the wedding details and drop off the infinite. Then home to hang with Happy. OMG. I LOVE her! She has such soulful brown eyes! There are two other families interested in her. Dave is still not wanting another dog. I told the girl if she hasn't found a home by 3/31 we will host her while her work is full. I so hope we get to host her, because I think if we do we will adopt her! I really reall[...]
