Two things. I'm trying my damneest to not think about the Brian situation but then yesterday I see a post from a mutual friend, who is a realtor, who posted a link to his house listing. As in, his house is actually up for sale. Photos of a completely moved-out home. It's not like he is just staying with her, he actually moved all of his stuff out and put his house up for sale. All. Righty.
The other thing that I realized the other night is maybe I need to meet some new people and actually hang out with people more. I was texting Eddy Friday night, clearly upset, and wasn't getting much response. He was like "um well if you need to vent I guess you could stop by on your way home" - that kind of ho-hum whatever attitude drives me up the wall. Probably going to be a rest day today, might work in some core stuff this evening. This week will be kind of low key in terms of workouts, which is good since I need to get ready for our Missouri trip. Since we aren't really into fishing that much, our fishing tackle is in bad shape and needs to be sorted out and cleaned up.

LBS has ordered an 11-36 cassette for my Diverge to replace the stock 11-32. Hopefully that will help a bit on some of the hills. There are other things that can be done, if that's not enough.

Took at look at my workout schedule on Training Peaks for next week and wow, some tough biking work waits for me.

Finally have a few minutes to play catch up on all my rides from last week and my race report from Saturday!
Spent most of the week last week staying at my parents' in Littleton while the floors got finished - it's been really rough to not have a home base. Raced on Saturday, which left me completely exhausted all day yesterday. Took the kids to do the local kids triathlon (omg, so cute!), then spent the rest of the day trying to organize the house. Ended up on the couch at one point, I was just beat. 
Aspen doesn't have school today, so I'm just hanging out here with her, trying to get some house stuff done. Tomorrow I will FINALLY have TWO kids in school so I can paint. I've had one of them or the other home with me for the last week or so, and I haven't set foot in my studio. 
Not sure if I'm done racing for the year or what. Need to spend a few days figuring out what I want to do. There are a couple of fall races on my radar, and I'd definitely like to do at least[...]

And, drove the 10 hours back home today after moving daughter into the dorm. The only thing that kept the flood of tears at bay is knowing I will see her on Friday when we are all at my parents' 50th anniversary party. But when that's done, all bets are off!
Drove right to the CrossFit gym before even going home. I knew if I went home and sat down, there's no way I was getting up again.

Slept wrong Saturday/Sunday - and now have pain through the left side of my neck and shoulder. Did an icy hot patch last night but still pretty sore this morning. I know I need to go see Dr. P my chiro and get cracked but really trying to avoid it since I know it will hurt. It always does when I do this to my neck.

Hoping to close on the new house tomorrow. Take keys on Wednesday. That would be nice. Movers come on Thursday. I am off on Thursday and Friday.

Tomorrow 11am - Signing Papers. Record date is Wednesday and we get the keys on Wed... Movers come first thing Thursday. Can't wait to be in our new home.

I'm trying to settle into an interim schedule, but this week is weird with the holiday weekend coming up.  Gym is closed on Saturday & Sunday and I'll do my "weekend" workout on Monday.    I also want to start doing the regular Monday workouts (e.g. tonight) at the gym, but I have a haircut tonight.   Probably for the best since I'm sore from Saturday, since I am still getting used to the gym again.
I signed up for an 8-week yoga program a while back with the intent of starting this week.  Tonight is the night!  They are fairly short sessions that I can do at home.  I am going to do the one tonight after dinner.

Taper rocks! Twice on the boat today...Dave cleaned up the seats, then took Kaity and I for a swim. I cleaned the exterior which totally needed it. It was lovely. Then Dave and I went for a sunset cruise after dinner. Another beautiful sunset on the lake.

Tomorrow the girl starts her job at the doggie day care. She is so excited but super nervous. I hope she gets through the day ok and doesn't have a panic attack. She will be so great at this gig! Fingers crossed!
