Work should be settling down - all parties reached a deal yesterday so channels are back on the air.  My weight is up, more significantly today. I haven't tracked my calories for a few weeks and am back up above the number I was complaining about in January. +7 since December. Not the end of the world, but blah. FRIDAY!!  I have a "to do" list for the weekend, I've been meaning to knock out these things over the past few weekends but have either had calls for work, or been totally lazy. Ordering new carpet (FINALLY) for my living room, and also a new dishwasher. And getting a glass screen protector on my phone and if I'm totally ambitious, getting Bentley's nails trimmed. WOOT.

Yesterday was a complete and total wash, unless having naps that were coma-esque count. Somehow I think they don't. I am a little better today and got my chores done, packed and took the dog to jail (her words). We leave in the morning to drive to the port and sail tomorrow evening. I am going to be completely unconnected for the duration. I have vowed to workout at least 5 times for a minimum o 1 1/2 hours each. More if I can. Hold me to that..

Technically, it's supposed to be a rest day, but I'm going to the pool this morning to work on my newly learned skills. Tomorrow night we're going to a fundraiser with a theme of the Groovy 60s. I got a really fun outfit on Amazon that will be here today. Just need to find a pair of hooker boots to go with it. They had "go-go" boots on Amazon, but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to walk in them, so I didn't get them. I can probably wear sandals or regular shoes with a bright leg warmer if all else fails, but the boots will complete the look nicely. I tried to talk Fred into bell bottoms and a hippie vest, but he wouldn't have anything to do with it. I think he would be hysterical in a long wig, headband and a vest, but I'll settle for a tie dyed shirt.

My swim coach is holding a group session tomorrow and invited me to join in and I have another swim clinic on Sunday, so it'll be a swim focused weekend. Also looking forward to my long run on Sunday morning to see what my bo[...]

Oh man. Legitimate 8 hours of sleep and I feel amazing. Mostly upper body, but tried to throw in some HITT stuff in there, too -- jump squats, burpees (ugh), pushups, lots of abs. And single leg stuff.

15 miles tomorrow. Hope the snow melts by then. I am NOT doing those on a treadmill.

6:21am: Finally. Friday. *sigh*  It feels like a long time in coming.
Haven't run all week because of Igor the Knot, but might attempt something this afternoon. Woke up feeling just a little bit better than I have all week, so that's a plus.
Two weeks to Vegas and Zion! I'm looking forward to the break, for sure.
And I can't believe it, but Lent starts next week. Seems like giving up sugar might be an appropriate Lenten thing to do, considering the circumstances. My roommate is getting me a fresh banana cream paczki on Tuesday and it'll start after that.

So glad it is finally Friday. Between the blizzard and being sick, I really want a weekend where I'm not snowed in or piled up in bed with all the cold meds. Nothing in particular planned for the weekend, and that sounds pretty good to me. :)

So, it seems it is one thing after another. We got back from vacation and we immediately noticed our cat is not doing that well. It's been a week and no real change - he's got a distended belly but he's not really eating and he's very lethargic. I made an appointment for him tonight after work but I am really not prepared to make any big decisions. I am hoping it's something treatable but he's also 13 years old.
