DFW just isn't equipped to handle winter weather. Yesterday, it snowed less than an inch, causing the kiddo's daycare to close early. It took me an hour and a half to get from the office to day care - it normally takes maybe 35 minutes. Persons are terrified of snow, I guess. I opted to skip my swim simply because I don't trust the other drivers . . . the roads themselves seemed fine.

It did ice last night, causing Tri club to cancel this morning's workout. So, it was an endurance ride for me on the trainer. It actually felt . . . good. I feel like I'm starting to see some progress, which is great given that my first tri is in two weeks!

I noticed tightness in my right glute last night after sitting too much at work. Woke up with it still there this morning. I believe it is due to the run intensity that I have been working on. I opted for a small amount of higher pace in most of my workouts this week, which has been spotty at best. I need to dial that down and get back in the consistency groove for a bit.

She took me out to lunch (down the street. In a car.) We spent 10min shopping for groceries after.

BLAHHHHH. Can this week be over already? I feel like crap, I haven't gotten to workout hardly at all, my kids are bored out of their minds after being stuck at home so much this week without anything entertaining to do (I would have taken them to the pool or somethign yesterday if I didn't feel like ), blah.
Anyhow, everyone's at school this morning, I've got to get a presentation done for Monday's workshop, and then Nate and I are going to take the afternoon/evening to hang out. His parents are coming over to hang out with the kids so we get a kid-free night. Wish I felt better, but I'll take it anyhow.

10:14am:  I passed my exam.  WHEW.  Just barely, too, but I'll take it.  I'm done now for awhile, at least.
Decided to take the rest of the day off -- I haven't been feeling 100% the past few days (could be stress, could just be I'm coming down with something) and wanted to just lay around and do nothing.  My whole body just aches for no good reason ... hopefully, just stress getting to me and now things will be back to normal.
I'm planning on doing some sort of workout today, though I'm putting it on hold for a little bit.

Stats taken after CT and before dinner, %water 67.6, muscle 37.3, bone 3.9. Really just trying to get back into things once again. So easy spin on trainer since I won't be allowed to run for a while yet per my PT instructions. Speaking of which, he added 3 more exercises/stretches for me today. And I'm really going to have to plan to get up early to do these, say like at 4 AM or else attempt to do them at work somehow. I mean they do take around 1/2 hour. Hope he either changes them up or keeps them the same for a while. On a positive note, they do seem to already be helping me as I seem to have a bit better range of motion here and there according to his measurements.

With the CT, the back wheel tube gave again and I'm going to have to change that tomorrow I think. Oh, ITB didn't seem to bother me and only felt a bit of a twinge after an hour spinning.

Tomorrow: swim, maybe elliptical, and see about another CT session.

I am EXCITED. I am getting a visit from a BT friend! We have been friends for about 7 years and finally get to meet. She is making a voyage to attend our Marti Gras party. (I warned her it is an odd crowd. Small towns in vacation spots get a wide range of folks :) )
You can't beat BT for finding fine people.
I will more than likely be scarce this weekend. See you Monday.

I've had a few interesting conversations at work the past couple of days. For whatever reason they seem almost desperate to retain my employment. I gave them my terms for a part time extension so we'll see what they come back and offer in terms of money.  While I never intended this to be a negotiation, and I was fully prepared to walk out on the 13th, this could be a very beneficial situation for me if the price is right.
