Not real snow (it was too warm at 34) but I had white stuff on my windshield as I left on my bike. Once I got off the hill it was rain and then downtown it was dry - glad I rode.

First track meet of the year - he is doing 100 and 200 - I asked why not the 400 and he said he didn't like their long workouts - I told him life is not about always taking the easy way out and that is what you seem to do an awful lot so you need to do the 400 starting next week! Kids :)

Slow but Steady
Well, today's run pace was a bit slower, but we did NO walking so that was good.
Run felt really pretty good overall, and it was only in the last mile, which was a long gradual uphill did I really feel like I was struggling, and the pace in that mile felt that way.
On the whole though -  good run.  Happy with it.

Progress in the pool.  Hitting 1:35 +/- for the 100's and 3:35 - 3:40 for the 200's.  Still dropping off almost 10 seconds on the 2nd 100 so the speed is coming along, but endurance at that effort isn't there yet.  But, I am happy.

Starting over

Yesterday was a wash.  I got the kids off to school and went back to bed and slept until 12:00, 4 more hours of sleep.  I have never done that before.  Not sure what the deal is but I am hoping that today is not a repeat.  I love to sleep but that was a bit much and a waste of the day.
I took the boys fishing in the late afternoon.  We didn't catch anything but Liam had fun.  Cole didn't but he usually is done fishing after 15 minutes.  We are headed back out tonight with the Cub Scouts.  Maybe Liam will catch his first fish of the season there. 
Not much else to report.  I am going to try to run again today.  If I can keep my eyes open I think I have a good shot.

Got sick yesterday, my stomach was most upset and I had horrible stomach/intestinal pain. I was scared it was the stomach bug that's going around, but I'm fine this morning. Whew. Don't know what I ate that was the culprit, but oh well. Glad it's gone.

*1-Leg Dead Lift - 2x12 reps each leg
*Body Weight Squats 2x12 reps
*Monster Walks (forward/backward/side-to side) 3x10 reps each, band/elastic strapped around the knees direction. Strap the band ABOVE your knees.
*Body Weight Pendulum Lunges 2x12 reps each leg.
*Russian twists with 5-10lb weights...2x30secs on choice rest
*Eccentric Calf Raises - 2x12 reps each leg.

Had to cut it short as I was running out of time so I only made it up to the calf raises and oh too bad but had to skip the planks ;)
It's getting a bit easier but legs still felt like jello especially as I did this right after the bike.

Busy day,  drive to the Y (40min) work at the Y 9-12, drive to piano lessons (40 min) 1:30-2:30, home to get kids & take them to piano lessons from 4-5, teach last class of toddler gym in town tonight at 6:30. Need to get a workout in sometime, probably water jog at 12 again. And yay, I feel like crap today - headache. But, my foot feels really good! Better than it has felt in a very long time.

Meh - not worth taking up space in my blog for the rant about home school drama that was here so I deleted it.
