doing well for recovery week.  Have managed to keep mileage and intensity where it need to be for a recovery week.
tomorrow medium walk - perhaps walk to work and home
Saturday longish ride ~ 80 miles is my target.  no one interested in riding with me, but that's ok, then it will definitely be my pace.  :-)
Sunday long walk, targeting same as last week ~ 7 ish miles. or almost 2 hours.  I'll try to keep it in the 15 minute pace, which is remarkably tough to do.

Tri practice went well tonight.  I had 9 swimmers in the water.  My two most beginner swimmers appear to have dropped out.  The next two are making good progress.  everyone else is a matter of improving overall stroke then fitness and strength.  Hopefully they'll manage to find a pool they can use more than once a week.

Bike to work, what worked:  packing cube for clothes! lucked out getting on a quick road to the gym once downtown (and didn't get run over) easy to park bike near gym shower stuff is nice, so I don't need to bring shampoo, etc. bag was easy enough to carry leaving at 7 was sufficiently early
Bike to work, what didn't work: Felt like a heavy brick on the bike,  need to ride more! and lose weight! Route from gym to office with bike was stupid.  Consider leaving bike by gym.
I really need to bike more, that was way harder than it should have been.  Fortunately it's donut day at work!  Woot!

Trying to decide how much faith I have in my and Case's DIY skills. The exact same windows we have a $12,800 installed quote for from the Pella distributor we can get 15% off at Lowe's this weekend for $4,300 just the 19 windows. That's about 1/3 the price. We could also do 24 months at 0% which would have them paid off at about $175/month. They do run the 15% off sale a couple times a year, but when I contacted Pella again to see if they would honor the 40% of install special I saw on the Pella website, they said that since they're a "distributor" they're cheaper than retail Pella even with the -40% and offered an additional $300 off their quote from last year. I really, really, really was wanting the fiberglass version, but at 17k for those I could replace the vinyl ones three times over for cheaper. There really won't be much finish work since we're doing the drop in replacement kind using the existing frame. Worst part I think will be removing the old ones. The whole idea of not [...]

Rest day! Gonna foam roll and stretch. Pre-ride a bit of the course tomorrow when I get to Gunnison, then it's go time! I already have butterflies. Ridiculous.
Last day of school for the kids. BIG party after school, which is this introvert's nightmare ;)
Trying to get paintings photographed, emailed, framed to go to Crested Butte after the race. Need to wash my bike and get all my clothes ready for the race too.

Slept all afternoon yesterday and didn't have any trouble sleeping last night. You'd think I'd be caught up, but I'm still tired this morning. Walking first thing with my friend, then heading to the gym for my trainer workout. Hopefully that will be enough to wake me up and get moving because I plan to get a lot of accomplished over this long weekend. Going to start on the bathroom today. Need to take everything out of the cabinets and drawers and get things ready to paint. I'd like to get a coat on the walls and shelves today and a second tomorrow. Saturday, I'd like to do the prep on the hallway and paint it on Sunday. I keep going back and forth whether or not to paint the hallway, but it's just shabby enough looking that I know I'll be happy that I did it.

I really love working with a trainer again. We have a really good time going through exercises and talking. I'm so happy I got up and got moving. I feel so much better than I did earlier. I may have just registere[...]

Needing to go run about 3 miles today at some point and I think I'll stay close to home that way if I need to bag the workout because of pain in my achilles I can. Sucky thing is I have a 4 o'clock appointment so I'll need to hightail it back home, change, run, shower, change, eat, cub scouts, then I'm helping someone move once scouts is over. Thankfully this is the last day of scouts for them this year so we get our Thursday nights back, and we already get our Tuesday nights back because our Bible study group is breaking for the summer. Brynn has the kids signed up for swim lessons on Wednesday at our gym and they go from 4:30 to basically 6:30, soooo hopefully that will turn Wednesday into a big workout day for me, swimming and running while they're doing that (the other kids can go to the kid watch).

One of the coaches for the swim team at the pool I go to is starting a masters swim program. Just got the info - practices 5 days a week in the early morning 5:30-6:30 3 days and 6-7 two days. Times I could work with. Emphasis on competitive swimming hosting and going to master's swim meets. No interested in this at all but I just won't participate. Extra fees are a total no go though - $50 annual for USA Masters Swim plus an additional $35 monthly fee. Boo, no can do. The only reason I even join this center is for the pool. I don't use it for anything else and that is already costing me $500/year. This fee would add another $470 just to swim. I know it would probably make me a much better swimmer and help my stroke and I'd be faster but I'm not trying to compete with anyone. I'm just getting some exercise. Bummed though.

Guess what time it is? Time for the return of my favorite waste of time and brain cells, The Bachelorette! Yes indeed, see the "journey" as our bachelorette meets 31 of the "most eligible" bachelors America has to offer. AKA, 25 nut jobs, 5 clueless wonders and one guy who is on the fence. You would think that out of 31 dudes, we might be able to come up with more than 5 seemingly normal people, but no, this is TV production my friends, and we need to bring the DRAMA!!
OK, let's just dive right into the deep end of the crazy pool. First we'll look at a few guys, just so that we know what we are dealing with and so that we understand what the show has become. One spoke longly and glowingly about his abilities in the sack. One spoke of his desire to become an Instagram Model. At least four had touching backstories that included 2 of the following list: family death, friend death, wife or girlfriend death, rough childhood involving but not limited to gangs, bullying, weight issues, or[...]
