3+ hour delay on ground in Dallas returning from Memphis. Didn't get to bed until 2:40am LA time (4:40 Memphis time). Was hoping to swim before work, but not a realistic option after a 22 hour day and <5 hours of sleep.

We had an icebreaker at a team meeting this morning that involved sending in an old photo where the caption could be "What was I thinking?" - in terms of clothing or hair or whatnot. Not wanting to embarass myself TOO much, I chose this photo and said I must have been way before my time because I was rocking the romper in the 80s  (never mind my knee high socks)!

Well we just booked our trip to France/Switzerland! We're hoping to spend a little more relaxed time in Paris (last time we went we ran around like lunatics)... and then head over to Montreux Switzerland for Freddie Mercury's 70th birthday bash. Yes. You read that correctly.

Wasn't organized enough to hit spin class before work so I did the strength video early.  Hope to take the bike out this evening, even if just a short ride.
Is there anything worse than wasting an hour in a meeting on a committee you were NEVER asked if you would participate on....just a command performance of another version of reinventing the wheel.  SIGH, this is the same old same old at work.
By the time I signed off work we had thunderstorms moving through....

Didn't make it to the pool yesterday for various reasons. If I keep this up, I'll have to relearn swimming all over again.

Went to DD's house late afternoon and hung out while plumber was checking out the basement bathroom. Not really sure what the issue is but it's probably going to be high dollar to fix, since they are dealing with old cast iron pipes. Might have to wait on fixing that one and just cap off the pipe and have a house with one bathroom for a while.






Some plyo stuff, some strength stuff. Wasn't sleeping well so just got up early and went in the basement for an early morning workout

I can tell I am deep into Ironman training - so hungry all the time! Trying to control this hunger and trying to make good food choices, but it is not easy to do. Also, time is limited. I have to schedule when I am cleaning the condo, when I am grocery shopping, when I am doing laundry, etc. Of course, I am fortunate to be able to do this!!! I always try to remember that. So many people would love to have the opportunity to do this.

Busy morning and afternoon with work and work meetings. I now officially the lead Clin Ops on 3 studies - 2 Alzheimers and 1 schizophrenia. Exciting studies.

Ewwwwww.... sooooo much ewwwww on this morning's run!
76* (real feel of 86*) with 93% humidity...  EWWWWWWW!!!  
I had a sore throat yesterday & didn't feel like eating pretty much anything for dinner last night, so this morning I slowed the run WAY down & when I started to feel a bit light headed & woozy, I stopped to take an extra walk break or two.  I was supposed to do an hour, but I figured 50 minutes was close enough & I'd rather stop BEFORE falling over.  
Crazy to think that our house is going to go on the market as early as next Thursday!
