So...went to dinner at the Mexican place last night. Service was absolutely atrocious. Our group has been going there for years, so it's not like we just walked in off the streets. Couldn't get a table, couldn't get drinks, no one came to wait on us. my friend Karen is back from her Florida winter and pronounced quite loudly that she was DONE with running, didn't care if she ever ran another step again, blah blah blah. Not sure what has caused this paradigm shift, and she can be a bit dramatic sometimes.

Her husband is very much a runner, has run Boston twice. They met through the running club and their lives have been entwined in this hobby as long as I have known both of them. So it will be interesting to see what happens moving forward.

After hearing Karen's tirade and then not being able to get anything to eat, I drove home and hit McDonalds for a cheeseburger. Yuck...will find some time this evening to run that off.

My sister is showing one of her horses this mor[...]

Bonked a bit on my ride today. First climb was great, went downhill from there. I was feeling kind of bad about it, but then I realized I've strung together pretty decent workouts for the past 9 days, and my entire lower body is sore - my muscles are probably ready for a break! We have a bunch of different stuff going on with friends and family tomorrow, so I'm going to take the day off, eat crappy food, relax for a day. :)
Figuring out my trip to Vermont in June. Flights to Albany from Denver are so freaking expensive - seems like a waste just for a couple of days, but I kind of feel like I should be there for this show. I've got a gallery that owes me a couple thousand dollars right now (finally sent me a check and then it bounced - grrr!), and Nate's got a few houses that are going to be a couple months behind schedule, so we're trying to be tight with money right now until we both get paid. Kind of makes it seem silly to blow a bunch of money going to an art show that I only ha[...]

6:57 AM: Oh boy. My knee is swollen and stiff. Huge. Not sore, though, so I suppose that's good. Just swollen, and sort of "hard". Under different circumstances (and on an entirely different appendage, on an entirely different person) swollen and stiff (( AND HUGE!! )) would be great news. On my knee... well, notsomuch.
10:26 AM: Riding tonight. Knee and all.
3:12 PM: My enthusiasm for bike riding tonight is dwindling by the minute. Would probably do better if I went home, iced my knee and swallowed a handful of Advil before I ride tomorrow. Hmmm. It is gorgeous outside. I should ride bikes. I can't decide.

What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
I thought my new computer was all set, but it turns out that somehow in the transfer of iTunes from the old to new a bunch of songs didn't make it.  I spent way too much time fiddling with it today, but I finally got it.  Some bills paid and mail mostly done.  It sure takes a long time to get things done.  It seems like there is an endless list of chores.  Need to call AT&T and see if I can get my internet bundled with everything else and renew my business phone contract.  Little things that take time. I was hoping to get my desk cleared off today, and the old computer put away till I'm ready to take it to the mountain home.

Let the 2014 Season begin!

Stats taken after ride and before dinner, %water 60.3. Following the schedule today. I had thought about just an easy spin but didn't want to set up the CT and thought a quick ride outside would work although it was a bit chilly out (mid-50s). It was easy to get in some warmer riding clothes. Nothing special though, just out to Mountaindale and looping back for a little over an hour ride.

Tomorrow: Will do the Half Mary distance run at Antietam I did last month. Good hills and good course for the most part. Frederick Half is in 2 weeks.

Sunday: First of long bricks - 40/3 on 193. Knoxville is in 5 weeks.

Monday: off

7:03am:  Friday!!  And it's supposed to be an amazing weekend, too -- it'll be nice to be able to enjoy it rather than spending it all inside the office working.
The Whole Life Challenge is starting in about 2 weeks (anyone else want to join??) and I really need to start cutting down the amount of sugar I eat now so that I'm not going completely cold turkey.  I am, however, taking advantage of eating pasta and cheese while I can.  :)  Oh, and enjoying my Diet Pepsi, too.  And I just might indulge in a DQ Blizzard this weekend assuming that I sweat enough to deserve it.
Not a whole lot planned for this weekend ... going to my parents' house for Easter, but other than that, probably just puttering around the house, getting some stuff done.  Need to start thinking about planting, too (assuming that it's done snowing for the season...).

Figured out why my feet/knees are hurting - my running shoes are overdue by 50 miles! BT equipment tracker did NOT remind me and when I looked, my "lifetime limit miles" or whatever it's called for that equipment is gone from the equipment entry, there is no spot for that information anymore.
Weight is up today, but I know exactly why - been letting myself eat carbs. First is was recovery from the stomach bug I had, then it was race prep and race recovery (ha! the excuses I make!) Waah wahhh back to being diligent.

As soon as they call the all clear today I am changing into bike clothes and heading out for an hour  or so.....maybe more.
MrE was confused last night cause I have always warmed up with a run and he thought I was injured or something cause I was on a bike.  I laughed & said it was cause I had missed riding all week and just needed to let my legs go in circles.
OMG it is COLD out for late April!  I might have to wear long bike pants & shoe covers!  Holy hell it was COLD & WINDY!!

Office is closed today so I took the road bike out for a real ride - first one of the season - almost 2 hours on her and I love this bike more and more each day! So glad I added the BMC to the stable!

Spent the afternoon at the LBS putting my Ogre back to a sweet Mustache Bar Setup. I will post a FB picture for you guys tomorrow to check out - this is one cool build I believe. Not many would like it but hey it fits my style - why be normal when you can be aBILLnormal???? ;)

Happy Easter if I don't drop back in this weekend - you know He loves you right? Just look at the cross and realize just how much!
