Nate's company party was nice last night. His current crop of employees are a good group of people. Tonight we're taking the kids to the Nutcracker, today is the last day of school. I have GOT to finish the painting I'm working on before I do anything else today, but I'd also like to squeeze in a short bike ride if I can.
Up to my eyeballs in workshop registrations. I've got three sessions almost full, which is GREAT, but handling all the paperwork and checks and emails is enough to make me wish I had a secretary ;)

Plan called for an hour on the bike, but once again no PDF was given.  Sorry, I am doing this as cheaply as I can  I am not buying all these workouts.  I did have my alarm set to get up and ride with a different workout but when it went off I told it to shut up (really) as I turned it off.  Given the poor sleep the rest of the week this was the smarter call.
So my meat eating child came home from her boyfriends house last night and reheated her Swedish meatballs.  I really wouldn't care--except when she left the bowl in the dishwasher she never rinsed it.  I found it when I was putting my juice glass in.  Was going to move the bowl to the other rack but first had to scrape out the dried meat stuff from it.  Looked like dog food.  GROSS.

I opted to skip the ride tonight, just feeling my legs become uncooperative between the bike volume & intensity with trying to bump up the run volume.  I had a window of time to do yoga[...]

Called doc to see if I could ride my bike. He's out until the day after Christmas, which is my next appointment. So I guess I'll just wait till then. Foot feels fine, been wearing my shoe and staying off of it. Everything just feels better. No achy joints or anything. I don't think I truly understood what my body was going through until I let it rest and started eating better. My 14 year old cat had an extremely bloody stool. Figured we were gonna lose her. Great!! More stress. I handled it well and it turns out she has something like colitis (sp?). Vet said it's from extreme stress. I think we are a bunch of stressed out people, puppies, and kitties. Feel like I've been at the peak of this extremely steep mountain I've been trying to climb. But I'm scared to say, I feel like it's downhill from here. Fingers crossed. Swimming on the 26th and hope to get good news from doc!!

Stats taken after after run and before getting something to eat/drink, %water 68.3, muscle 37.8, bone 3.9. Morning swim actually felt pretty good and shoulders weren't as sore today. Then later, just ran a regular loop around Ft D today. Chilly out with a bit of a wind and temps in low 40s. Brrrrr! I did warm up after the first couple of miles and got to moving in the low 8s for a pace as I was feeling pretty good in the latter part of the run. Right calf bothering me just a bit but seemed to get better as I went along. It was a good run.

Tonight after work, going to see about picking up my new treadmill. Hopefully start putting it together this weekend.

Sat: probably an inside ride while following a course and watching videos. Don't feel like riding outside right now.

Sun: Swim, weights, and long run somewhere

Mon: rest

6:32am:  Friday!  And another work-from-home day, which I mightily appreciate.  Yesterday I spent most of the day working through some training videos (difficult at the office because I get interrupted so much) and really learned a lot.  Today I'll do much the same, I think.  One thing I do miss -- my space heater!  Not that it's all that cold in the house, but there's something comforting about the warm air keeping me nice and cozy.
Workout once I'm done here and then hoping for a vaguely productive evening instead of just plopping myself down in front of the TV to veg out for the night.

Funny little knee pains, mostly in my left knee. If I recall, these go away with normal training. I also think they are more prevalent when on the trainer, and on long flat rides with not much power/cadence change. I'll keep tabs on them.

Feel worse today than yesterday and this just plain sucks. Took today off and am just going to rest. No bike riding for me

Sometimes you just have to say F it and go for a ride - it can't make me worse so I went and I am glad I did - tomorrow might be a different story but right now I am happy :)
