First day with student went pretty well. It's a bit of an adjustment from my quiet life to a room full of teenagers. I had a call from my supervisor for my online class. There's a decent chance that they will have about 80 more students enrolled than usual so wanted to know if I'd take an extra section if needed. I said I would as it wouldn't be double-work, but would be double-pay. Probably should've at least taken the dogs for a walk, but it was the last day for my 50% off JoAnn's Fabrics coupons so I went to Butte to get the batting and border material.

Toe still flares up occasionally...also dealing with some left knee soreness that cropped up after wearing boots for a couple hours last night. Doesn't seem significant this morning, but going to pay attention to it.

Slept wrong Saturday/Sunday - and now have pain through the left side of my neck and shoulder. Did an icy hot patch last night but still pretty sore this morning. I know I need to go see Dr. P my chiro and get cracked but really trying to avoid it since I know it will hurt. It always does when I do this to my neck.

Hoping to close on the new house tomorrow. Take keys on Wednesday. That would be nice. Movers come on Thursday. I am off on Thursday and Friday.

Tomorrow 11am - Signing Papers. Record date is Wednesday and we get the keys on Wed... Movers come first thing Thursday. Can't wait to be in our new home.

I'm trying to settle into an interim schedule, but this week is weird with the holiday weekend coming up.  Gym is closed on Saturday & Sunday and I'll do my "weekend" workout on Monday.    I also want to start doing the regular Monday workouts (e.g. tonight) at the gym, but I have a haircut tonight.   Probably for the best since I'm sore from Saturday, since I am still getting used to the gym again.
I signed up for an 8-week yoga program a while back with the intent of starting this week.  Tonight is the night!  They are fairly short sessions that I can do at home.  I am going to do the one tonight after dinner.

* 2 sets of 50 Standing Resisted Hip External Rotation on each leg (first set with red+green bands)

Finally have a few minutes to play catch up on all my rides from last week and my race report from Saturday!
Spent most of the week last week staying at my parents' in Littleton while the floors got finished - it's been really rough to not have a home base. Raced on Saturday, which left me completely exhausted all day yesterday. Took the kids to do the local kids triathlon (omg, so cute!), then spent the rest of the day trying to organize the house. Ended up on the couch at one point, I was just beat. 
Aspen doesn't have school today, so I'm just hanging out here with her, trying to get some house stuff done. Tomorrow I will FINALLY have TWO kids in school so I can paint. I've had one of them or the other home with me for the last week or so, and I haven't set foot in my studio. 
Not sure if I'm done racing for the year or what. Need to spend a few days figuring out what I want to do. There are a couple of fall races on my radar, and I'd definitely like to do at least[...]

I did nothing today, since DD1 is in town for her Aunt's Birthday. So she and I spent the better part of the morning drinking coffee and yapping about life. Being a dad is a lot of things, one of those is that it is rewarding.
