Run didn't happen. Tried and couldn't stop coughing so turned it into a walk.

Up coughing from about 130 on but the worst was from 330 on. Took cough drops, had cough medicine in, had a glass of milk and still coughing. Ugh.

Woke up with a major headache today, it never went away until I caved and took 3 advil around 4 p.m.

Very sore, definitely not used to the walk/jogging, but from here I will just keep piling on walk/run mileage. I'll get there.

The weight is depressing but I am working on it.

The PF flared a bit tonight, too much sitting in my car instead of driving when we went to Portland, but my head was hurting too badly to focus on driving. I just can't sit without it hurting my foot. I have to drive or I will pay later. I'm using the night splint boot to help calm it down. Lots of walking in Boston tomorrow!

My bike taking a rest on the fun, flat part at the top of Dedisse: 
Ohmygosh it is BEAUTIFUL out there today!! I've got to ride my mountain bike! I'm feeling badly about my tech skills right now, so I will probably force myself to go ride some rocks down in Dedisse. I've been putting in a lot of vertical lately, but all on smooth trails, which doesn't really help with techy stuff. 
Heading down to the Broadmoor on Thursday for a couple of nights. Nate is on the board of a credit union and they send him to training classes at fancy places all the time. I figure since this one is close and the Broadmoor is supposedly beautiful, I will tag along and ride my bike while he is in boring finance meetings all day. My friend Shelby is coming too (Nate got her husband on the board too), so we're going to get the cheapest treatment at the spa and just hang out there all afternoon one day. Should be nice.

Let the 2014 Season begin!

Stats taken after workout and before dinner, %water 60.6 (trend reading but continue to like where this is going). Morning swim went well since I hadn't swam in a while and took things pretty easy. Nice 400s. Last one I alternated which side to use for breathing on each length. So up on the left, back on the right. Gotta used to using the other side if necessary like I should've at Cedar Point. Then weights after that. Hopped on the CT and loaded up the Black Bear Olympic course since I'll be facing that in a little over a month from now. Whew! It's going to be tough! A few grades above 10 and one to 15! Some great downhills too but I did see that they recommended not using aerobars for one of those. Guess we'll have to drive the course and see.

My right hip was bothering me a bit as well as my left plantar fascia. So stretch both, first with foam and then tennis ball for foot. Need to get things back healthy for the Frederick Half and beyond.

After running, Steve grilled chicken and I mowed the lawn. Stopped just short of mowing over a tiny baby bunny. It could not have been more than a few days old, its eyes were tightly shut. Such a frail little thing. There was evidence of a small nest nearby, so I shut the mower off and left that area undisturbed. The cats had all been out in the yard earlier and it's crazy to think they missed the little guy.

Busy day,  drive to the Y (40min) work at the Y 9-12, drive to piano lessons (40 min) 1:30-2:30, home to get kids & take them to piano lessons from 4-5, teach last class of toddler gym in town tonight at 6:30. Need to get a workout in sometime, probably water jog at 12 again. And yay, I feel like crap today - headache. But, my foot feels really good! Better than it has felt in a very long time.

OMG - Tues homeschool group drama today. These kids are ridiculous. Still constantly quit whatever game we are playing, yell at me that my calls are not correct or the score is not correct or the rules are not to their liking. If they are losing they walk off the court. If they don't get a turn when the think they should they walk off the court. I just ignore them anymore and go on with whoever is left playing. So today I had 2 games for sport. At the end of the first sport I told the 6 kids who never quit that they could have the first turn with the second sport. All hell broke [...]
