well they keep getting colder.  at least no wind this morning.  good run.  no stretching or rolling afterwards because my crowd locked me out of the house.  had to call from a neighbor's house for Terah to come let me in.  :)

After a not-terribly-productive day at work yesterday (the patients I had scheduled cancelled, leaving me with just other admin odds and ends to do), I decided to take advantage of my boss allowing me to leave a little early to work out and hit the gym after work for a change.  Also tried a new workout.  Tough!  But felt good.
The annoying sleep trend continues.  In bed by 9:30 last night, wide awake around 4.  Got up when my alarm went off at 4:45 to pump and run.  Still far better than when Chase was waking up in the middle of the night.  And it DOES make it easier to peel myself out of bed when the alarm goes off if I've been lying there awake for a while already.  But come on!  Sure could use the extra 45-60 minutes of sleep!

Finally got some decent sleep last night. It's important that I get my act together today and move forward. I get frustrated and it makes me quit trying as hard, which can lead to a downward spiral and I certainly don't need that. I had very high expectations with with PT and accepting that there are certain things that just don't work the way that I want them to is not easy. I guess I'd rather get frustrated not being able to do something than to not try, but it's still disappointing. Think I need an afternoon session in the snow to adjust my attitude. ;)

Didn't really pay attention to goals yesterday, but here's how it went....
Drink 100 oz water - got ~80
Cardio - Nope
Strength/pt/mobility - nada
Watch/read something to inspire/motivate me - not really
Get 10,000 steps - offically got ~6500
Eat mostly whole/nutritious foods – not even close

I had an interview yesterday with a company that told me they were looking at me for a Senior Systems Engineer position.  Awesome.  Salary range was good, job description was good.  It was with my old customer, but that was far from a deal breaker.  Except... 5 min into the interview and the PM for the project starts talking about SharePoint this, SharePoint that... seems like there was a disconnect somewhere.  The whole meeting lasted 18 minutes, such a waste of time.  The recruiter who was there claims there are a lot of other positions they are hiring for that might fit, but I'm not holding my breath.  I feel I was pretty clear in the phone screen what I am looking for, and thought we were on the same page.  Yes, my resume has SharePoint on it, but it's impossible to talk about my job without mentioning it.  If someone reads my resume though, and doesn't just scan for keywords, I'm pretty sure it doesn't read like a developer resume.&nb[...]

Late night out with work clients (late for me anyhow).  Plus a lot of stuff to get done at home this morning in preparation for our trip south tomorrow morning.  End result, no workout.  I need 3 miles to get to 100 for the month so I will try and accomplish that later since tomorrow will a rest day with a lot of driving.
Feeling a bit rudderless lately when it comes to my training.  The coach I have enjoyed working with the past couple of seasons has decided not to continue one on one coaching.  I haven't looked locally to any degree.  I am looking a little bit at Endurance Nation, but I need to figure something out.  Plus I have a little bit of a goofy race plan this year with a couple of local tri's but mostly a run focus with 5 half marathons and a full marathon in October.
I guess I can go back to the self coaching with the Pfitzinger plan supplemented with some biking and swimming.  I will have to give it some thought with all my wind[...]

So last night I was in bed at 8:57pm, because I had been dozing in and out on the couch since 8:30.  Lame!  haha  Not surprisingly, once again woke up sometime before my alarm went off at 4:50am.  But hey, at least I'm getting plenty of sleep, I guess.

Today is a cross training day, thinking about an easy spin on the bike and more yoga.  
I stretched and foam rolled a good bit last night after my treadmill run and it definitely helped the legs.
It was after 7 by the time I cleaned up from dinner and I was pretty full o bike work out was not going to be a good idea.  Figured more strength training was in order.
So Proud of Miss Thing!  She is in her Freshman year and being asked to TA as a sophomore!  
   Miss Thing:  My bio psych professor asked me to apply to be her TA for next year and I can get credits for it and she said she would help with my research project!

MT: I  find out about the TA position about the same time as the peer mentor position and I have to choose between them but I'm pretty sure the TA would be better
