Okay - it is time to finally get my into gear.  I can feel motivation pouring into my soul as I logged into BT today for the first time in years.  Unbelievable and positive feeling.  Thank you BT.  
Where to start?  Well I am starting from scratch - my fitness level is very low so everyday will see improvement.  This is going to be fun.  I guess reality hit me when I tried to take a selfie this morning on the bus - EVERY photo was bad.  I feel fat in them and I don't want that feeling anymore.  I have been through way too much therapy to let something completely in my control bother me so much.  So...I am back here and ready to have fun becoming SnakeFit.  What is SnakeFit?  That is something you will see in me and my posts in the next few months and the rest of my life.

Sigh... Owen is home from school and I'm about to take him to the doc => verdict is strep throat... So much for getting done this week! Going to take advantage and do some grocery shopping and catch up on business stuff. I really hope he can go to school tomorrow. I feel bad for the poor kid - he's been sick constantly since the start of March! I'm still a bit stuffed up, but it's all right. Now I just hope I don't catch strep before my race on Saturday!!
I'm pretty bummed that I was working hard and making gains the last few months, only to have essentially two weeks off the bike due to sickness, right before my first races!! I know I haven't lost all of my fitness, but I've definitely been set back a bit and that's frustrating. Still not feeling 100% and it's rainy and cold out, so I'll probably set up the trainer and do an easy spin tonight, then try to get in a decent 1.5-2 hour ride tomorrow just to give myself confidence that I'll finish on Saturday.

Interesting story out of my town - the gal who ran fast enough to win the local half marathon yesterday loses the title because she was running late and couldn't find parking. Her elapsed time was 1:22 but she started 6 minutes after the gun, so they recorded a 1:28 - and another gal ran it in 1:26. Oops!

Today will be a rest day. After 9 straight days of hard workouts and walking around theme parks and standing on my feet volunteering for things, plus all the fun, I woke up this morning with no go-juice.

I think I may need to switch weeks altogether. Last week was supposed to be easy and this week was supposed to be hard, but between the workouts and the volunteering and the 5am-10pm days on my late work days I'm wiped OUT.

Next week is race week, so can I just swap weeks and do another lighter week this week knowing I'm going to go harder next weekend?

Taking a rest day today.  My house is a disaster and needs some attention.  If it doesn't rain I'll take my dog to the beach and go for a good walk.  I'm feeling happy with last week's workouts.  Now if I can stick to it for the rest of the plan!!
