9:33 AM: In the morning I always think to myself... "SELF! We're gonna do a workout tonight!" Then it gets to be 2:30 or 3 PM and I realize there's no way I am going to be able to do a workout if I can barely keep myself conscious for the drive home. I do feel my endurance returning bit by bit, but by and large, I'm tiiiiiiiiiiired. Still.
I have a dilemma regarding the interview I've got on Tuesday. The dilemma is this: Although it appears to be a perfect fit and job opportunity for me, it's an hour away in traffic on a good day. It's a long drive. And this is without a flake of snow or a droplet of rain. Allow me to demonstrate...

This is a long drive. A loooong loooong drive. 58 minutes in these current conditions, which is after rush hour during an off peak time in good weather. This means the drive would be 1:20-1:30 during regular traffic times, and I may as well get a hotel room if it snows.

Taking the cat to the vet this morning then heading back outside for more work/fun in the woods. I really enjoy working outside and seeing what I've accomplished. I haven't done the strength training in my plan as written this week, but it's so physical working outside that I feel like it would be more than I can handle to do both. Probably not the best view to have for changing my body. I'll keep thinking on it.

We finally got the motorhome out of the barn this morning. While we were at the barn, I had Fred show me how to use the zero turn mower, which I immediately ran into the motorhome. It wasn't even in gear, but moving slowly, and even though he showed me how to operate it and the location of the brake, my brain couldn't think fast enough to find the lever to stop it. I immediately concluded that me and the simple, old fashioned, step on the gas to go, step on the brake to stop is more suited for me.

I had to walk across some grass yesterday for maybe 20 feet. In that time, I felt the ankle pain again. Grrr! Everything feels okay when moving around the house of a flat surface, though. PT tonight, so we'll see how that goes.

It is 83 (23) degrees in my office. My "luxury leather alternative" office chair is sticking to my legs. My boss has left for the day. Safe to say very little work being done here.

And, just like that it's summer vacation!! Kind of nice to drink my coffee and know I don't have to pack lunches.
Oh my gosh, I was SO done with people by bedtime last night.
Picked up the kids from school and went straight to an end of school bash at a friends' house. Holy cow - I think there were 80 people there!! It was fun and the kids had a blast, but standing around making small talk at a party with 40 kids running around is not my jam. Went to taekwondo from there, then ate dinner out with some friends. My friend Flower was joking at dinner that she knows me well enough that she could tell I was just plain done - apparently I glaze over. Lol.
Anyhow, a couple of friends are meeting up this morning to ride the Ken Caryl trails, so I'm going to drop the kids at my mom's house for a couple of hours and join them. Those trails are only for residents of the neighborhood, so I've gotta jump on the opportunity when I can go with someone who lives there! I will try to make mysel[...]

OK I am really liking the sink now. They touched it up today and put a clear coat on everything. And did the whole bathroom so said the house smells horrible and I need to air it out good tonight lol. SNEAK PEEK! Backsplash will be done tomorrow and all the fixtures put back on as well.

Nothing this morning. I was not really sleepy, but my body felt tired. My tailbone is still not 100% healed and I just didn't want to get on the bike this morning.

My parents arrived yesterday late afternoon! It was so good to see them!!!! I am working today, but they are going to come over and do laundry (they have been on the road for 2 weeks) and just hang out. Not sure if I will get in any workouts today. Starting work early and ending early to have more time with my parents this afternoon.

I decided to try and get up earlier to see how early morning training might go. I got up at 4:50, a half hour earlier than normal. I noticed that my body was not prepared to get up yet, but it did get up and going pretty quickly. My mind was a bit distracted during prayer/scripture.
The ride was supposed to be very easy, so there was no pressure. Everything went well, and aside from a distracted prayer, the rest of my morning routine went smoothly. Will try this again tomorrow and, if it goes well, I will very likely make it the norm for the summer.
