Big view from the top of the initial climb on Rim Trail. I'd say it was worth it?

Rim Trail, looking the other way. Lots of spots like this on the way across. A few were a lot more narrow, and enough to freak me out - that was a steep cliff on the right!

Geeky selfie, but the moral of the story here is - "Don't fall!" This is about the time that I started to completely bonk...

Then, 40m lunges, 10 pullups, 10 Kettle bells.....x 7 rounds. Finished behind Roger in 13.26

Started day with donut, first one of the year, ended it with banana + nutella. Not sure why....craved way more than needed it.

The fair was good. Great weather so busy. My shift ended at 1:00 so of course I walked to the opposite end of the fairgrounds to get a free hushpuppy =:-o  Then I checked out the roasted corn place that I like and decided to take a pass (corn not charred enough), then went to the building closest to the exit I was using and got a pickle from the Mount Olive booth and "sampled" more NC peanuts than I'd care to admit and finished up getting a maple syrup cotton candy for Kevin. Then I walked back to the office.

Ended up in the ER this morning for some super fun IV antibiotics. 
My neck had really been bothering me for most of the day, so last night before bed I took my phone into the bathroom and used the screen to look at the reflection of the incision... NOT GOOD!  NOT GOOD AT ALL!  It was SO swollen, red and angry that I decided to take the morning off work and head back to the doctor's office first thing in the morning. 
I got there and saw a different doc than the one that had taken out the cyst initially, and the first thing he said to me was that no way would he have done that procedure in the office.  Yeah, thanks doc - but it was done so how about HELPING the situation that's going on NOW?  He basically took off the bandage and said that I should just head to the hospital.  Awesome.

Beautiful sunrise this morning, but alas, I have no photographic evidence of it. Also, there will probably be no logging this week, due to a laptop that DD2 has taken with her. It has the upload software for the TGT, so I'll bulk upload later. No Biggie, just laying down the base for HM training and getting into training plan mode by creating a standard schedule.

Well, that was disappointing that the swimming pool was closed and that I broke my juice fast at burger king ffs. This is not what I expected, but definitely a few lessons for next time. I will have Reezwan have his blood sugar tested before he eats anything else too.
