Body fat was 16% yesterday which gave me hope, but today it's back to 19%. Hopefully I get a few runs in down in Fla this week.

Packed class with regulars and irregulars. Jose was all over the place, but no one really cared, it was still fun.

Didn't run last night, went down to the local running shop, swapped out the pair of shoes I bought on Saturday that I used for part of the failed run on Sunday that were too big. Also picked up my bib for the Turkey trot 5k on Thursday. Hip is better today, calves are sore as usual.

Will try 4 mile run tonight.

(Logging the next morning). As it was going to rain/snow on Wed, decided to run this evening though dark and chilly. Note that it really does help to replace the batteries in one's headlamp ;) Yeah, last time, tough to see in the un-lit areas around Ft D. Replaced the batteries in my headlamp and my path is once again lit up!! Decent run for the time.

One note is that I'm really self-destructing as far as weight goes and wish I could get on my trainer and do my Sufferfest videos. I'm real reluctant as I want my right knee/upper calf area to be healed before attempting anything. But, I'm also into watching TV mode and eating far too much when doing so, despite the running and weights I'm doing. (sigh)

Wed: strength and aerobic machines at the gym in the morning due to the weather and the fact the gym is closing early today in advance of Thanksgiving Day.

Thur: probably get up and run before enjoying the rest of the day with family

Uh, butt homework at the new reps back to back HURTS. Ugh!

quicky ride was fun and just what I needed to get out of my head for a bit. Kitchen overload is starting and we don't have a contractor yet! We do however, have all our appliances purchased and at significant savings due to black friday silliness. Step one complete. If the agonizing process of choosing a stupid fridge is any indication of the rest of the remodel, just kill me now. I wish I was one of those people. You know, look, see read, do. Nope. Just not that simple for me. UGH!

In awesome news, my son got a phone call of acceptance at WMU tonight and was super excited. It's my alma mater and I really hope he chooses to go there. CMU (rival school...boooo hisssss) is his other option. GVSU said no thanks. We will see what CMU says. Of course I'll support either school, but I do hope he chooses WMU. I like the programs at Western for undecided majors, which is definitely what he is!

I was reading about a new winter triathlon in Quebec City - 5k snowshoeing, 12k speed skating and 8k cross country skiing. I can snowshoe but that's about it. I'd love to learn speed skating but not too many adult classes offered that I can find. Would be fun though... Winter would make more sense!

Sleep eluded me last night. Couldn't fall asleep or stay asleep. School all day, lunch with my Mentee, I had to get some housekeeping issues under control and begin Thanksgiving cooking for Grace. Trying to duplicate some of her favorite dishes. Turns out she believes everything is a favorite...... :).
