I'm struggling to figure out when/how to fit in swimming this week.  My pool - Providence - is closed for this week and next week.  Yesterday, I came up with a plan to go swim at another pool - Spring Hill - during lunch, until I realized... d'oh!  That's another one of the pools that is closed for the next few weeks!  Ugh.. and there is no other pool that is reasonable for me to get to before or during work.  I think I can do Wakefield after work on Friday, but the other afternoons, I have stuff (PT, back rehab) scheduled for right after work.. and if you don't get to these pools early, you are waiting forever to get a lane that you have to share with 4-5 other people floating around.

Hi, all - IMLOU ended with a DNF at mile 20 on the bike. Stress fracture or something else funky going on with my right foot. No obvious fracture at x-ray at urgent care, but an MRI indicated if it doesn't improve over the next couple days. Other possible causes = tendinitis in foot, sprain of the joints between my tarsi/metatarsi, or burst blood vessel in foot. In any case, it took me out of the race because I couldn't pedal or bear weight with my foot. :(

Back to the drawing board, looking at IM MD 2015 as my race. Thanks for the support. I can't decide how much I'll be on BT...I miss my friends here but it is hard to keep up my social media presence here and at FB and I really like logging my workouts at Training Peaks. But I like my friends here too.

I noticed that my cadence wasn't registering for the past few rides, so I adjusted it before this ride, then rescanned. Well, it must have picked up my buddies' cadence sensor b/c at mile 14ish, when he popped off the back, it stopped registering.

It would not surprise me if it's time to change out the battery on the sensor. That, or my Garmin is crapping out.

Ouch. My back is really cranky today after yesterday's yardwork. This is getting OLD! However, it could be worse. The weather is FABULOUS. Last nights Dock night was perfect. It is not normal to have coolish weather with no humidity. That is coming back later this week. Until then WOW!

Got home from the first day of school to find that the a/c was fixed, whoo hoo!!!!  So nice to fall asleep in my own bed.  I must be feeling stressed, didn't sleep well again and woke up to a headache, nothing major but enough to be annoying.  So I did NOT get my run done.  It will not get done after school either.... yesterday I got in the car to go home and the gauge said 107!  I spent most of the evening doing my seating charts for today and gave up with 4 to go which I hope I can get done during my planning period this morning.  It was a pretty good first day (my all time LEAST favorite day of the school year) and I'm looking forward to getting started teaching today.  So far my biggest classes are 32 and I can only hope they don't grow!
