Probably going to be a rest day today, might work in some core stuff this evening. This week will be kind of low key in terms of workouts, which is good since I need to get ready for our Missouri trip. Since we aren't really into fishing that much, our fishing tackle is in bad shape and needs to be sorted out and cleaned up.

LBS has ordered an 11-36 cassette for my Diverge to replace the stock 11-32. Hopefully that will help a bit on some of the hills. There are other things that can be done, if that's not enough.

Took at look at my workout schedule on Training Peaks for next week and wow, some tough biking work waits for me.

Two things. I'm trying my damneest to not think about the Brian situation but then yesterday I see a post from a mutual friend, who is a realtor, who posted a link to his house listing. As in, his house is actually up for sale. Photos of a completely moved-out home. It's not like he is just staying with her, he actually moved all of his stuff out and put his house up for sale. All. Righty.
The other thing that I realized the other night is maybe I need to meet some new people and actually hang out with people more. I was texting Eddy Friday night, clearly upset, and wasn't getting much response. He was like "um well if you need to vent I guess you could stop by on your way home" - that kind of ho-hum whatever attitude drives me up the wall. It was obvious he didn't want to hang out or listen to me so of course I was like "no it's okay, I'm just going to bed" and I did. And haven't responded to his next 3 texts . Sure enough vacation is canceled.  Testing was disastrous. Really disappointed in our PM. System was supposed to be live Sept 1st - I built in a buffer by rolling out Sept. 7 and now even that looks miraculous.  I just really wanted a day to spend with my child - the last day of summer - to have oodles of fun and celebrate summer.  I was thinking a full day at a water park.  I missed the family holiday to New Orleans and basically all of summer vacation :(  I'd better get a really good raise in Jan...

Cut the border pieces for the quilt tonight and played some monkey-in-the-middle with the neighbor kids. This quilt project has made my brain very happy. Now if I could just get my brain to be happy doing actual work.

Both kids are FINALLY in school the same day! I have a ton to do, but I'm sitting around drinking coffee and answering emails - I think I desperately need some me time to decompress from the past month. 
Not getting much out of Owen about his new school. He's been fairly happy so far, but came home grumpy last night and made a fuss this morning about going - said he didn't like it and it's boring to "sit there all day," which isn't really how I figure an average day goes at Montessori . Time will tell! I'm paying a lot of money for this school to be a better fit for him, so hopefully he'll make some friends and get in a groove soon. I worry so much about this crap, it's exhausting. Sigh...
Left my helmet, gloves, and wrist guards at Winter Park after my race on Saturday - FAIL. I have another helmet, but no gloves, and the wrist guards are no cheap! I won't ride tech without them, so I need to order a new pair. Boo.

12:38pm: Seems a little early in the week to declare Not Friday.
I'll have a little stair action or treadmill climbing to do this afternoon, depending on the weather. Not only do I have the Utah trip to train for (which is a month away!!), but apparently I signed up for 2 half marathons yesterday, lol.

I'm happy to report that I am not too debilitated today after last night's leg day.  I couldn't push myself on the walking lunges as much as I'd like due to it being outside (rough on the knees) and just too darn hard with 25 lb kbs in each hand.  But anywhoo, it was a hell of a workout.  I was absolutely soaked at the end.  Felt great!  I think this will really help in Hawaii for Ragnar: leg strength + hills = no problem!?
Although, because of the gym workout I didn't do the yoga class. I think I will just do them every day I can fit it in, which might work out to 5/week, might not.  It's  a lot to fit in with running.

Had to rush out to help out a friend who's sister had a massive heart attack.. she is 35!!!!! Then rush home to fix dinner for my daughter s birthday. 8 people for lobster :)

I was all excited to try out a 6:30am yoga class at the gym (Tuesdays are the only day it's offered at that time), which meant getting up at 5:45 to have enough time to pump first. Get over there aaaaand the instructor wasn't able to make it in today for some reason (& no one able to sub). Of course! Still worth the 10 minute round trip since I just worked out instead, but man I was looking forward to some yoga!

Good day overall though. Met my parents and grandparents for brunch on their way to the airport for my grandparents' flight to AZ, then went to the local running store to get fitted for some new shoes, then to the library to get library cards and for Chase to pick out a few books.
