Finally all booked for Maine adventure except for our last night in Portland before departure. Phew! Getting 2 rooms vs 1 was a challenge since we are slackers and didn't get this done 6 weeks ago when we decided to go. I think I got everyones want's done. Mountains and moose, Bed and Breakfast, seeing Annie B and her hometown, Bar Harbor and all its awesome and day trip adventures from Freeport. Its going to be a lot of laughs and fun. And LOBSTER! Duh! :D

Bad news for the girl though...she just got her car back from when it was sideswiped, and her rim fixed from a monster pot hole a few days ago. She hit another one tonight and flatted. Sigh.

Trying to go back to the gym today. :) Downloaded an app for body weight exercises for 6 months and then will hopefully try a run today. Even though I hate the treadmill but if we see sun out I might wait to run after work. What a crappy month this has been. Hit 500 calories burned on my apple watch yesterday, did 30 min of vigorous exercise and did the whole stand for a bit each hour so I "closed all three rings" - now the goal is to do that 5 out of 7 days this week. I tend not to look at the "stand goal" as much during the day at work.

Home inspection was this morning. A few electrical and plumbing things, no biggie, but there is a potential sewer issue that could be expensive. I won't have a quote until Wednesday.
Waiting on both the moving coordinator and the Atlanta real estate gal to call me back to see when I can get things on the schedule. Anxious to get the ball rolling. 
Also back on the step challenge this week with co-workers, so I'll be walking at the very least tonight

Another morning spent googling heel pain.  I keep thinking I am missing something.  It's really frustrating.  I definitely need to dial back the mileage for now, so no 10 miler.  I'm still holding onto a tiny bit of hope that I'll be ready for the half marathon, but if I'm not I'm not. 
I NEED to find a workout plan so I don't continue to turn into a ball of mush.  I feel really extra mushy since taking an extended break from much of anything other than these few runs.

Core work along with back and arms.  I swear theres a 6 pack under its protective layer.
Felt better off the bike than I have in a long time, but it wasn't a heavy effort at only 140ish watts. 
I think this will be the longest stretch of time home in at least a month.  Longer if you count the time in the RV prior to my travel spree.  Looking forward to being in one place all week!

Had a phone interview this morning but it turned out the job was in Wisconsin and for a company I interview for right out of grad school. I don't think the recruiter was aware that I am only looking in the Chicagoland area. But maybe I would have gotten it!

My wife is obsessed with FB now. She is constantly on it and if you call her out, beware she gets in a fury.

I have a half marathon in two weeks. None of my runs have been over 5 miles. Interesting but I will tough it out. What do I have to lose.

Whew! I had really hoped to pay for Casey's France/Spain tickets with just points, but ended up having to buy 30,000 for $376 in order to make it work as a multi-city itinerary. Spain has crazy security fees/taxes of $213 (the Paris ones were just $5 for comparison), but considering the same ticket would've cost $2,700 I'm thinking I can be happy with spending $595. Also at one point it was looking like he was going to have to take a train back to Paris to fly home so this could've been loads worse. 
Muscles are feeling a little stiff today, but joints and tendons are 100%. Kind of sad/crazy to realize that the last time I've ran 40 miles was February 2016. I should really get out more.

Walked last night with TW, and we should be doing that again tonight. Maybe a "March to the Mangroves" or possibly a Stump Pass sand Shuffle. Or maybe a bike ride on the Pioneer Trail. Whatever we do will be welcomed indeed.

Volunteered at the Gold Nugget Triathlon this morning. It is a sprint that I pulled my registration after I got hurt. 1600 ladies kicked a$$ this morning. I was all over the place. ALL over the place. But I managed to count laps. First lady was the girl who won Bike for Women earlier this month - 9 mile hilly course and she did it in 20 min. She is a beast of a tiny woman on the bike but she wasn't as fast in the pool. I thought she did great. She is one of the most humble people and to hear her get out of the pool and listen to people say kill it on the bike was something else.

Last people of my shift was a mother/daughter team. Daughter barely made the 8 year old cut off for the race. We made her feel like a rock star in the pool because you could tell she was nervous. The smile on her face when she was 1 lap away and when she finished was priceless - the good part of not being able to race. :)
