No sleep last night. Couldn't breathe, couldn't get comfortable, sinuses want to push eyeballs out of my head, and throat is itching. Well, at least I got a cold a week and a half before the race this time. I **should** be recovered by the race. Dosing up on meds this week.

As much as I hate to, I'm taking the day off. Feel terrible.

My girlfriend broke up with me on Friday night - rethought and we had a long talk on Monday.  Happily we're back together.  I accidentally stepped on one of her issues.  If you step on a dog and it bites you, you don't blame the dog.  I'm happy she still wants me.  There are still looming storm clouds because she's really unhappy living here and working at her current job.  My thought is that we'll just have to live life and see what it brings.
I think my shingles is back after being only 'over it' for about a week.  ARG  Have to find a doc and see.

You have to start from where you are. A 'heavy' work out today. but still a little easy. This is the first 'heavy' work in a long, long time.

Fun fact: I have only used a microwave once since the October/November time frame! Mine started sparking at the outlet last fall and one day I just decided to unplug it and see how I fared. I can make everything I did in the microwave on the stovetop or oven, which does a couple of things: It slows me down, and it stops me from making things like freaking MUG CAKES! I was eating those so unnecessarily and I haven't since November. I do eat a lot of leftovers "cold" (which I don't mind at all) - and it's easy to re-heat 90% of food on the stove. And if I want hot water I run it through the Keurig. Pretty proud of my experiment - I know the jury is still out on what nuking food actually does to it (does it strip nutrients? will there be long term effects from the radiation/whatever? is it perfectly harmless?) but I feel a tiny bit better that I'm not using the microwave anymore.

Juice Fast Day 9: Wt 208 (Down 16 lbs)

Carrot, pineapple, orange, apple, lemon, ginger blended with a frozen banana was the morning juice today. YUM!!!

Carrot, apple, beet, red cabbage, celery, ginger, lemon will take me through the afternoon.

Still feel great. Not hungry at all. Just bought 2 juicers of my own. :-)

10:38am:  Feeling pretty good today -- it's cold out, but at least the sun was shining on my drive in to work.
No workout yesterday because I had to deal with water in the basement, financial accounts being moved and a letter from the county assessor's office that had the wrong address on my paperwork.  Fun!
All in all, a pretty ho-hum birthday, but I'm not at all disappointed by that.  That's kind of how I like things (in case you haven't noticed).

I went to bed relatively early last night (9:30ish).. I woke up and noticed it was still dark and wondered how much longer I had until my alarm went off.  I checked the clock.  10:58 PM.  HA!!
100% chance of snow overnight and all day tomorrow.  Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!
Made some progress on the medical stuff though.  New(old) chirpractor this afternoon, and an appt with a sports medicine doctor on Friday, and appt with my foot surgeon at the end of the month (earliest available).  I'm kinda hoping it's more the weather and that the foot will get better with some of the exercises I remember from PT, and I can always cancel that appt.

Sort of weenie'd out of training last night. Power went out at 8:00 pm. It was only out for 30 mins but Felicity was restless and and i didn't want to set up everything again.
That's the good thing about the Fink Plan. Friday is a 'slide' day so i can move any missed training to that day.
