3x15:
-quad hip extensions
-supine floor march
-plank (feet elevated), 45-60 sec
-Supermans
-single leg drops

Planks were hard. Only managed 45 sec each. I used my foam roller under my ankles to elevate my feet. That probably reduced stability, hence them feeling harder. They were!!

Foot really hurts this evening, even after wearing the boot, doing limited walking, icing, elevating, and wearing a plantar fasciitis brace to keep it square while sitting. I'm worried that I'm going to have to go to completely non-weight-bearing. I see the specialist next week. Meanwhile, I'm doing my best to hold down the couch. I keep telling myself, "The hike (when I hurt it) was really pretty" and "This will completely heal and will NOT become another chronic injury to have to work around, dammit!"

Gratitudes:
1. Today's 3-4" of snow should melt off in the next couple of days.
2. I have a sense of humor that helps me get through the crap.
3. I have a massage scheduled for tomorrow. Ya[...]

Snowed a few inches last night. Just drinking tea and knocking stuff off of my to-do list while the flakes come down outside. Owen had a friend spend the night and Aspen slept over at someone else's house, so it'll be a quiet day. Working on new gallery representation up in Whitefish, Montana, and tracking down commissions and sales info from other galleries. I'm happy to be branching out into galleries out of state, but dang - the one thing that sucks is the cost of getting work up there! Especially Whitefish, not the straight shot that Billings is from Denver...
On day 5 of clean eating. I've done pretty well so far with no processed food, no added sugar, etc. Made a healthy habits page in my bullet journal so I can keep track daily of my weight, how much water I manage, whether I hit my planned workout, and how well I do with food. There's something about writing it all down that's so much more pleasant to me than having it on the computer. Think I'm getting over the low en[...]

Nothing this morning. I took some pain medication last night and was still tired at 4:00 this morning. Slept in until 6:00. Plan on taking a long lunch today and getting in a trainer ride. So glad I went to urgent care. I am already starting to feel better.

Day#004

6:01p--I thought I would check in and mention that I have remained caffeine free today. It has been a day of headaches but luckily pain relievers have kept the headaches manageable. Emotionally I am feeling moments of calm clarity, but anytime I think about dealing with life or work I get depressed and want to go to sleep. Tomorrow I have a job interview and I have to drive back to Vernal. It will be difficult but I am determined to succeed. Caffeine has ruined my life and I won't let it continue to ruin my life.

Today is a non-work day and the plan was to go to Treeumph and break in our yearly passes. Until the van overheated on our way out of town. So, the van is at the mechanic now, and we shopped for replacement doors for the house. We have begun a long range plan to update/repair the house for sale. We are a few years out from the final objective, but I don't want house ownership anchors like yardwork, repairs, pool maintenance as we get older. I'd like the freedom to jump on the bike during downtime without the though of the 19+ things I have to do at home. The van is kind of in the same boat. 30,000 more miles and it is gone. That should give us the time necessary to pay off the BMW and put a couple of bucks aside for something new. Or newish. Probably either a PU truck or a CUV or SUV. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
More stuff set aside for Goodwill today. The cleanout continues.
A few of the folks here use Zwift. Here is a setup that you too can win:

Another round of testing.
Man, virtual power is spot on at around 200 watts. Under 200 watts and virtual power is about 20-30 watts higher than my power meter. Over 200 watts and virtual power is anywhere from 20 to over a 100 watts lower. At 300 watts (virtual power), my power meter was reading 400 watts. At 386 watts, power meter was reading 500!

Lesson learned. I should have never taken outdoor FTP and expected it to be the same as indoor FTP. Most of my workouts for the past few months have been almost unbearably hard!
