obviously Sunday was a fluke.  back to the usual riding.  Adjusted the bike last night so i felt more compact.  needed to raise the seat some more so i did that after the ride.  we'll see how that does on Thursday's ride.

6:33am:  No workout yesterday -- got about 10 minutes in and was tired and sweating like a mo-fo and just generally feeling like crud.  My allergies reared up Sunday, like someone flipping on a light switch, and were even worse yesterday.  Feeling a little better today, but still dealing with all the itchiness.
Also, from my little adventure in the woods, I have about a dozen mosquito bites on my legs -- I believe I may have fortified half the population, if the size and itchiness of the bites are any indication.  Wondered whether the allergies are related to that as well.
Training today, like it or not.  The idea is to do a strength workout and then get outside for a run/walk type thing.  It'll depend on how I feel, but definitely one or the other is getting done.
On another note:  FIRST DAY OF AUTUMN!  How the hell did that happen?

Feeling much better today. Yesterday was not good mentally. Glad I hung in there and hit most of my goals. It makes starting today much easier.Don't know why I'm resisting my strength training goal so much. Having a strong body, especially core area is so important to everything I want to accomplish. I really need to work to get my head into this one. I think I need a daily plan on this one. Supposed to run 7 today, but legs are really sore. Did a lot of foam rolling last night and focused on IT band area, which helped quite a bit, but I can tell I need to back off today and let things calm down a bit. Will probably do some easy mtb tonight instead of running. This weather is just too beautiful to waste.

Restless night last night so sleep won out this morning.  It's taper week for the 10K trail race on Saturday, so no biggie.  My big project right now is finding a place to put the new bike because it has to have a bed in the house, it will NOT go into the garage!  Means rearranging some stuff and purging a LOT of stuff, so that might not get done till this weekend.  I still gotta get her fixed up too!!  I hope to get out for a christening ride by tomorrow or Thursday afternoon....

No run today, more rain and ugliness. It started around 2:00 yesterday afternoon and didn't stop until after sunset. But being cooped up in the house gave us a chance to work on music. We've been asked to play a song at a friend's wedding. We have the list narrowed to 4 and we'll have them over soon for dinner so they can decide which one(s) they want.
