I have a bit more respect for yesterday's weight class this morning. My shoulders and triceps are pleasantly sore and I can feel some core muscles.

Today's ride was probably the first ride since breaking my rib where I really thought, "Ok, I'm back!" Did a somewhat difficult climbing ride, and did it at a pace that isn't too far off of my normal rides on that route. I definitely feel like the rib feels good enough for solid training on the road now. And once the trails up here dry, I'm going to start in with some easy mountain bike miles. WOOT!

I just realized I had run around 400 miles on my shoes, which I bought a year ago.  Too much and too long!  No wonder running has been difficult lately.   Geesh. I also got a new type of shoe, the Gel Kayano.  I am going to do a better job of tracking when i wear these, which will be most of the time anyway.

Heading to pilates this morning, then meeting mom for a little flower shopping and lunch. We're heading out on a trip tomorrow. Going to an air force reunion down in Cincy. Should be a good time and the hotel we're stay at overlooks the Ohio river. I've been missing the river. :)

The brush mower I was pushing yesterday snagged a log and whipped around on me catching my arm on the handle. I've got a nice gash and knot. I'm lucky it didn't hit me hard enough to more serious damage. That would sure put a damper on my summer plans. I need to be more careful.

Chris got home at 5am this morning. Trying to keep the dogs quiet and get ready without waking him is harder than I thought. We are hosting a BBQ for Matthew's (Chris's son) 15th birthday at our house on Saturday. I am already stressing. :|

Nice weather for a run. Cooler than Monday, but much less humidity and a nice little breeze.

Starting to feel some fitness come back, I'm loving the re-addition of swimming and cycling to my schedule, my weight is down to within 2lbs of race weight, and I'm getting the itch to race again. My perfect storm.

Incline BB sets 3-6 were back-to-back. Couldn't get the 12-15 reps on 3rd set of 115, so I dropped wieght and kept going.

Video'd some of my swim this morning. Hopefully, coach can see enough in it to help me with my form.
The actual workout was a challenge, and took me a bit longer than I thought it would. My goggles kept fogging, too. Will have to put some baby shampoo in them this evening. It did give me an excuse to pause between some intervals, though. That's both frustrating and enjoyable at the same time. Trying to do 8 x 50 on 45" is tough, so a few extra seconds to catch my breath as I cleared my goggles was quite welcome.
Hard to believe it's already Wednesday. In a few days, a bunch of folks will be in for baby girl's baptism. It will be nice to see them, but also will present a challenge in getting my workouts in. Such is the life of a parent . . .

Much better sleep last night. 7 full, complete, non-stop hours. It is supposed to rain today, which should mess with plans to bike. I also have painting to do in the kitchen, or at least painting prep.
We recently uploaded our pictures to the Amazon Cloud, since Prime gives you unlimited picture storage. 40+ GB of pictures and 2 days of uploading from 2 laptops and we are finally done. Now on to the backups of her recipes and other stuff.
This is from our Alaskan cruise a few years back. It ended in Vancouver and we stayed an extra night, just to roam around the city. It was a beautiful city, and the opening of the travel door. We'd done a few cruises in the Caribbean prior, but this trip really started opening our eyes to what is around us. Our recent trip to California pushed that door open and we are in the midst of a couple of trip plans for the future.
