I did my first ever bike commute to work !  I have my sister's bike that is a cheap bike that is okay to lock up outside - it was pretty good and uneventful which is what you want in a bike commute. Lots of other cyclists - there seems to be order on College st and most people respecting red lights.
I was really late to work, though. I was on drop off for the baby so by the time i got her all ready and walked over and home it was way past 8:30.  It took about the same amount of time as it does to take the TTC - i am sure I could be a little quicker. I have to figure out the transition between the railpath and college st.  It doesn't make sense to me to cross the road and then cross literally 250m later to turn left across streetcar tracks.  But I also don't really love the idea of biking on the sidewalk.
I won't have to worry about it on the way home because it's all right hand turns there.

Chilly! Was planning on the road group bike ride tonight, I'll need to wear a long sleeve jersey. Didn't have time to run before work because of PT for my shoulder, it was cool and 58. Perfect running weather! My shoulder is almost better, he's been working on all these trigger points, crazy how that can fix things.

Simple out and back on shell ridge torward Hanna Lane. Four mile were pretty uneventful. I did need to walk one of the hills--but it seems to be getting easier. I'll do some compare on Strava at night.

6:21am:  I was pretty productive yesterday; got my workout in, got a lot of my packing done AND watched most of American Ninja Warrior.  Today has more of the same on the agenda, with burgers on the grill tossed into the mix as well.  That'll not only be dinner, but then lunch for the rest of the week.  Look at me being all nutritionally organized!

I woke at 4:00am with a punching stomach ache. It hadn't dissipated by 6:30am and I messaged my offsider to say I wouldn't be in. I felt guilty as hell given the amount of work I had on. But then I was ill and I did not regret my decision. Came good at about 1:30pm after plenty of rest.

Good run....YAY for that!
I had my swim bag ready to go but when the alarm went off I just didn't want to do it......the time economics of swimming just aren't working out for me lately.  With work requiring my time so long---the drive to & from the gym plus post swim shower  just doesn't allow a quality workout.  Of course the fact that my employer is sucking my will to live right out of me doesn't help.

Slept decently last night, though I'm still tired this morning!  Still have some pelvic floor soreness but no pain.  Made sure I moved slowly and deliberately at the gym, and stuck mostly to seated exercises.

Yesterday was a bit of a whirlwind. We got up and dressed to be ready to head for Missoula for Casey's physical as soon as he could get back in touch with the HR assistant. This was the weird calm before the storm part where we waiting four hours as Case called every half hour, but just left one voicemail. When he finally got a hold of her, turns out she had not called Friday to schedule the physical. She had called to tell him that the start date was delayed from August 11th to Sept. 8th (we're kind of wondering if the big Spirit derailment over 4th of July that sent 6 planes or so into the river was involved). That is probably better for us actually date-wise so he can give a full two-weeks notice. I almost wonder if they might have lost some candidates to BNSF since they were doing a lot of hiring at this same time. Anyway, she then says that a part-time person is checking references and hasn't even started with them yet... it's been almost 5 weeks at this point sin[...]
