Tumbleweed triathlon.  fun.  My training partner, who is stronger on the bike, and way faster runner started directly behind me in the pool.  TT start.  I'm a much better swimmer.  I was able to bike and run fast enough that he never passed me.  I don't think I've run that hard in years! 
About 12 of our group showed up to do this race! Fun!
Achilles complained a little, but apparently the new shoes and the exercises are working.    Olympic tri next weekend.  Suppose I should swim a little this week, and run some.  It's not too late to train is it?  :-)

I've decided that I'm just going to have to leave Tony to his own devices when it comes to training.  Yet again, NOTHING was done this morning.  I was up and ready to go at 8am for a run, and was told "we'll go when I wake up," and then "we'll go after I have some coffee," and then "we'll go after breakfast has settled," and then "we'll go once I rest my legs a little, they're tired after yesterday," and finally "I guess it's too late to go now."  
Instead I did 3 loads of laundry and went to get my hair done, which it desperately needed.  
Chris has now got me hooked on BIP, which I will turn into a drinking game!  Because, it's just so easy!  I can't even begin to tell you how many times I rolled my eyes, and thought it was ridiculous (including the slo-mo of one girl's "nooooooooooooooooo"), but I'm totally hooked.  This is ALL your fault, Chris!!  (and thank you!)  :D

I still owe a 42 minute bike and a 21 minute swim for the week. Hoping to knock those out this afternoon by biking to the pool. We'll see how it goes. It's open swim this afternoon, not lap swim, so it could be a free for all in there, depending on how crowded it it. In that case, I'll skip the swim.

We had 3 family relays teams for the Belmont sprint triathlon. I was the swimmer, but did the run with Michele for fun.

Recovered from Canada. Need to get back to training.

A nice 2 mile walk on the boardwalk this evening. So many people!

Another productive day.  Made breakfast and cleaned the bathrooms, then we headed out to get Chase a haircut and do our grocery shopping.  While we were out Travis decided to get a haircut too, so we swung by the PX on base to do that and I scored a few swim trunks for next year for Chase on clearance at $3.67 each.  I had been hoping to make it to the BodyFlow class in the afternoon but we got home too late for that, so I went to the gym and lifted instead.

Child is visiting her grandmother for the week so hubby and I spent the day walking around Queen West.  Some places have changed so much.  We used to walk everywhere on the weekends but funnily enough since we've had a child and a dog - our outdoor time has been spent in parks!  Browsed some shops and had a good pho lunch.  It's hard to find good pho.  So a good unplanned rest day.

Hung out in Beaver Creek all morning, went for a hour ride and thought I was going to melt (holy humidity today!!), then drove home I-70 in traffic. Blargh. I've been glued to the Ironman tracker all day watching my sister in law do Ironman Boulder. She's totally rocking it with 3 miles left in the run. She averaged 18.75 mph on the bike (holy !) and she's trucking along with 10-11 minute miles on the run despite fighting stress fractures in both of her feet all winter/spring. => She finished in 12 hrs and 18 minutes! Sweet :)
