Moooonday.  Back to the grind, but only for 4 days!  Looking forward to the long weekend ahead.
Drove down to Bluffton, SC, on Saturday after my run to further explore a plan we're developing for our future.  Very busy but very exciting weekend!
Decided to let myself sleep in til 5:30 today and work out this afternoon instead. And I still managed to leave the house way earlier than usual, which meant for a less annoying commute and arriving at work almost 30 minutes early!

I have a race this coming weekend, and I am looking forward to it.  A simple sprint, up in Venice.  The nice part is a friend and his fiance are racing it as well. I teamed with them last year, he swam and she ran.  The intention is to beat them both this year, which wouldn't be a big feat, seeing as how I should have a number of advantages.  But, it is the only real goal I have, that and to not walk at all on the run. It will be hot, especially running down Harbor Dr between the berms that don't allow a breeze. It is only a little over a mile in that area, but it sux. 
We had a good weekend, chock full of food experiments and relaxing.  I got a good ride in on Saturday. Pushed pretty well with the group, then pulled Michael for a while after he and I were dropped.  I feel like my bike is in a good place, but I have a couple more rides this wek before racing.  Both will be on the tri bike, just to re-affirm comfort and such.  Oh yeah, an[...]

Chase didn't sleep well last night in the hotel, so none of us slept well!  Got home around 4:30 and by the time we unpacked, fed Chase, fed us, and I got things ready for Monday, it was far too late to even think about working out.  Not at all restful rest day!  But that's ok.

Ran first from home (could not resist the trail today...hill repeats instead of a threshold mile) and then the girl and I went to Indian Springs. Agreed to bike only an hour so she'd come with me. She did me a favor. Legs were very tired. And It was hot and muggy. And I got bit by two flying I don't know whats! :)

Hammy was ok though. Good idea to postpone running till today.

Hopefully something will occur training-wise today. We were up until 2:00 am on the porch laughing and watching the moon and bats and stuff. Good times, but NOT conducive to doing a HM in the am.
 
Nope... no training. I ended up canning a bunch more pasta sauce and Bloody Mary Mix. One more batch of each and I should be done with mater canning. We went to a local winery for their 3rd anniversary weekend. Nice to sit on the veranda by the vines, listen to acoustic music and enjoy the late afternoon.
