8:53am:  It's amazing what 9+ hours of sleep will do for a person's ability to think coherently.  :)
Got home from work yesterday to find that my roommate was training a client in the basement, so I had to wait to work out... and then it turned out that I had to log in to work ... and so, no workout for myself.  This week is getting away from me.  I will say, though, that today is the first day that I actually feel normal again after my almost-all-nighter over the weekend.  I'm old. It takes me a long time to recover.  :)

The person who invented the Tabata-style workout needs to be kicked in the shins... Tabata
The short version is that it's 8 rounds of 20 seconds MAX followed by 10 seconds of rest for 8 different exercises.  OH.MY.FREAKIN.GAWD  is all I really have to say about that. 
WU:  various running drills with the band around my ankles/knees
MS1:  Tabata.  Sucks.  
Squats
Step-ups on 18" step
Standing rows with the TRX bands
Dead-lifts with 25lb KB
Burpees
Pull-ups
Plank to push-ups
Ab holds with 10lb medicine ball

MS2: Tabata. REALLY. Sucks

strength work in garage before run.  yesterday i overdressed and wore a long sleeve light tech shirt on the ride.  today i wore tights, heavy tech shirt, gloves and beanie and was still cold.  gotta love NC weather.  good run.  legs felt like a z2 foundation run, but couldnt get the heart rate up.  believe it stayed in z2 the second loop because that included all the strides.

CF and hopefully yoga tonight! It might get tricky as K is going from the gym to volleyball, during my class time. So, we'll see how that works out (and since it's all in Baton Rouge -about 45min away from home-we only take one car. I refuse to drive 2 cars and waste that much gas). But, I'm excited! CF and yoga in one evening sounds fabulous.
Oh, and K did make a comment climbing last night that "we need to get you back to CF, you were a little weak in there with your (lack of) pullups," as he poked my arms. Ouch.

Tax Party was loud as usual - left after 1 hour since this guy doesn't consume and drive and I wanted to get home and get ready for commute today. May 1st is bigger to me because that is the start of flex time.

Oh - sorry to announce I have been relegated to working in South Beach all next week. The horror of it all. I just hope the hotel has beach cruisers I can ride and lots of sunscreen for this pale north easterner ;)

Not much happening here.  With the kids on vacation and Cole in rare form there isn't any working out going on.  I hate when he's like this.  I'm wondering if the seizures are causing his behavior problems.  Or at least contributing to them.  Oh well, we'll deal with it as it comes.
Alex is going to a sleepover tonight and tomorrow we have a play date for the boys.  Exciting stuff!

i hate stress.  i hate being an emotional eater.  i hate having anxiety.  i have big goals for myself and it is so easy for just one person to completely derail my motivation.  i hate finding out that the people i love most in the world are ugly and mean and don't love me back.
i'm being vague and annoying and i know it, but i have so much anger and sadness trapped inside of me and i don't know how to get it out.  i can only vent to my husband and sister so much about one small conversation with my grandmother that just kind of unraveled the truth about our relationship (aka not one) last night.  i am already distant from my mother and her sisters because of some family drama with my mom, and now my grandmother turns out to be nasty and vindictive to ME PERSONALLY.  i'm not sure what i ever did to give her these horrible opinions of me, but i'm sure glad to know it and not waste a lot of energy on that family as a whole going forward.
