Friday.
Early morning rain gave me an excuse for not running this morning,  That plus I really didn't feet like it.
Been an up and down week.
Found out I got into the Marine Corps Marathon via the lottery, but now have to manuever through some family resistance to do it.  
On Tuesday got diagnosed with Dupuytren's Contracture, an incurable, genetic disease that reasults in deformaties in the hand and fingers.  Can't do anything about it, but still adjusting my mindset about learning to live with it.  Fortunately not life-threatening, just an inconvenience/annoyance.  Actually, it's been interesting researching it.  I always like learning new stuff, but maybe not under these circumstances.
Also got kicked to the curb by someone I was once very close to, or at least I thought I was.  One thing to end a relationship, quite another to rub someone's face in it. Guess I'll eventually get over that too event[...]

Hip was feeling a little less cranky when I first got up this morning, and then the spin class seemed to help loosen it up a little more.

I didn't bring the charger for my Garmin and it finally ran out of juice, so the time is a bit of an estimate.  I ran the same route as Wednesday, so the distance is pretty close.

I taught the Minzners today. Jon, Karen and Ian. I got to the gym early and stretched for about 40 minutes first. Didn't really do any of the workout. Just chilling and hoping I can get through tomorrows run.

Total Calories = 1150
Carbs = 29g (11%)
Fat = 84g (75%)
Protein = 35g (14%)

I had a couple of glasses of wine at happy hour, and then a tiny bowl of ice cream for dessert. Still managed to stay under my target calories. But I haven't lost more than a pound this week. I'm wondering if it's too low of calories. I do eat when I'm hungry though.

I've brought my running clothes to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Tuesday's run plans with a friend were cancelled since I went home early sick.   Wednesday, made excuses due to wind.  Thursday I actually PUT ON the clothes!  Then I decided my time was better spent getting new running shoes.

Visit with the PT went well yesterday.  She showed me some additional strengthening and stretching exercises, did some dry needling of my piriformis, and set me up with a program to do there 2x/week.  Stuff I could do on my own, of course, but going there to do it will ensure I don't slack off.  Goal is a complete return to running within 6-8 weeks, though she said it would be fine to run a little once it starts feeling better.  I'm not in a hurry.  It still hurts just walking around, so there's no sense even trying to run again until that's no longer the case.
