Good ride home last night, pushed it pretty hard in some places.  Interesting to see how the running this winter affects the riding this spring.  Did I say Spring?!?! It will be a short one, that's for sure. 89* on the way home.  Humidity numbers in the 90's this week.  Yes, summer is going to hurt this year. But, what year has it not?
A quick stop is on tap at the LBS this evening after work followed by some pool time.
This is from last year, on the family reunion cruise. That's TW's brother with my Guild F5CE:

My weight seems to be holding steady which means I'm down about 4 pounds.  Hubby watched a documentary on sugar and decided to be more mindful of his intake.  He made a few changes - swapped out his morning coffee & Starbucks muffin with a green juice and my pulp muffins (no butter or oil and still so moist - all natural!), replaced his carb-heavy food court lunch with soup and a salad and... he cut out iced tea (his vice).  He's down 10# since March!!  And he's not a big guy to begin with and does no exercise.  Incredible.  (and a bit frustrating that I'm not showing more loss!!).
I need to re-evaluate this summer's race plans.  I'm just not there for an olympic in June.  I don't want it to be a battle.
I find when I'm working and a bit stressed I stay close to home and so no workouts.  I have to make a decision.  In September I decided to revive my real estate career and it's now paying off but there are aspects I don[...]

They had my serum today.  Good thing, they might have seen me get really ugly if it weren't there.
Just April Abs and packet pick up today.  I am at the point of "let's get the show over with" regarding the race. I know my time will suck monkey balls, but it will be my most challenging HM course ever so once I get that big old replica of the Civil War Medal of Honor I will be sporting it!
Lost cable 4x today.  It would come back and go right off.  At one point I was signed into my computer and had it up for less than 1 minute before it fizzled out.  My boss said keep trying but not to come up to the office.  After the <1 minute time I gave up.

Weight came back down this week after some super diligent tracking. SIX POUNDS IN FIVE DAYS. My body is whack sometimes. Thinking I can let myself at least start shopping for a formal dress this weekend. I'm running out of time, and am thinking it will take more than one trip to find the perfect dress.
Discussion with my employee went well this afternoon. I was so nervous. I positioned it as a precursor to a larger team performance discussion we are having next week, and these are the three personal development goals I wanted her to focus on this year and start making a plan for. She was a little taken aback by the one I was most nervous about (basically her attitude and how our team and leaders perceive her) - but overall was very mature and receptive to the feedback. Huge weight off my shoulders. But I will be having a glass of wine tonight for sure.

Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it.  No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination; never put off till tomorrow what you can do today. - Lord Chesterfield
Weird day today.  woke up really fatigued, so I slept an extra hour.   Did not catch a cat last night, but I have to take the trap back for the weekend.  "on Friday we do inventory"   I called.  You would think they could count mine as out, but no.
No cat, so I rode my bike in to work.  Set the trap with fresh food and will go home about 3:00 so I can either take them a cat or the empty trap before they close at 4:30.
This weekend is a really nice club ride from Fort Davis TX down to Balmorhea.  Lovely mostly downhill 38 mile ride.  Giving a friend a ride.  Too bad about the girlfriend.  I think she would have enjoyed it.
I'm looking forward to the weekend.  I think I'll close off the cat door in the garage, and s[...]

Had the cardiologist this morning. I'm glad I went, she put me in a little better mood. I was pretty bummed after the foot appointment and finding out that I'm out yet another month with the toe. He did clear me to go back to cardiac rehab - I'm not allowed on the elliptical or treadmill for now, but I am allowed on the bike, hand bike, and seated elliptical thingie. I know I need to take it easy, but it's been five freaking months and my patience is wearing very thin. My hip has been very bad for the past two days. I finally got it calmed down last night with some stretching and ibuprofen, but I'm going to go see the regular doc about it. I and the docs are in agreement that the change in my gait with the surgery is most likely the culprit.

So the plan is to get back into a regular routine at rehab and focus on strengthening my heart for the next month. I have a pin sticking out of the end of my toe, so I'm limited in what I can do. I am going to cut the toes out of a pair[...]

YAY Friday.  The weather is supposed to be amazing for today and tomorrow but i may not get out on my bike. I haven't prepped any of them to ride outside. I may try to get out for an hour tomorrow morning ... i think that will be a fair compromise - split up the long ride a bit. I don't want to go too far on my first outdoor ride just in case I need more tuning up.
Felicity is in great spirits. She was hilarious this morning. Dancing and being super cute cuddling Darren.

seriously right after leaving the gym, the frustrating contractor call happens. Never fails. Endorphins wiped out in a 5 minute phone call. Grrrrr.

Racing the half tomorrow and haven't even thought about it. Seriously slacking! Been checking weather like a madwoman though as the boy and his lady have Prom. Don't care about the race weather, but soooo glad my baby boy will have a great night for the big dance!
