It was a lovely evening last night and, actually all weekend. Too much good food and wine and not enough yard work. At least I got some exercise in and some of my chores in along with the fun. I didn't even log food for Saturday or Sunday evenings. It is hard to log when the food is unusual and home made. This week, logging all food! It may be difficult traveling, but I'll do it! I am starting a HM training program to get my "run on" before the official training program starts in November.
Dock night tonight. Last one for my Mom until June next year. Poor Snow Bird that she is. :)

Bike shifter cable is broken, so no ride.  Golf tournament this afternoon so I had to get myself to work after sleeping in a bit due to late arrival at home last night.

Good weekend, but too busy. We kept Steve's two granddaughters (ages 10 mos and 3) Saturday night while their parents got a little break, then drove them back to Hannibal on Sunday. Little kids demand a lot of energy and my nerves were frayed by the time they went home. Oh well...

Slept in this morning. Need to get a 5 mile run in tonight.

ABOUT THAT RING...
So...after 11 years, Steve and I have decided that we will tie the knot! We don't have a date set, so I've been somewhat quiet about our plans. But it will probably be in a year or two. Smallish event, probably at a winery, with a reception for friends and family after. Definitely informal!

I really hate it every morning when I get to the bottom of my coffee cup. I can't go back for 2nds because it makes me edgy, impatient and irritable but I always want more. Addict.
No working out today.  Just tired. Probably needed another cup of coffee :).
Mentoring lunch with the same little boy I visited with last year. So I walk into the school cafeteria and my son hides behind his lunchbox, will barely wave hello. The little boy I mentor walks in the cafeteria and his whole face lights up in the biggest smile, goes to get his lunch and he is still smiling from ear to ear. We were talking and I told him I am having a harder time getting there this year because I am teaching my daughter at home and have to find someone to stay with her. I said how would you like that? Being home with your Mom teaching you all day long? He says well I would like to be at your school all day long!  Made my day :).
