Things are a bit crazy and my workouts have fallen on the backburner because of that.

Half of the first floor of my house (kitchen, living room, and bathroom) is completely gutted due to the renovation - the flooring was torn out all the way down to the subfloor, the ceiling has been ripped out, and a few walls were torn down. My husband and a friend are doing all of the work so I have been in charge of taking care of our little guy, maintaining the cleanliness of the rest of the house (plus meals, laundry, etc), and taking care of the yardwork. This weekend I cleaned out and weeded all of the garden beds, spread out 43 bags of mulch, mowed all of the "grassy" areas of our property, and cleared out and mowed down a big area on our property where we plan to plant a weeping willow tree. I then finished up a bit more painting in the house, spackled the downstairs bathroom in preparation for painting, and started the tedious task of removing wallpaper from the upstairs hallway. I ha[...]

Had our usual Memorial day services at the local cemeteries this morning. I think we hit nine of them. I was chaplain/photographer. It was fun. It was very sad to see how run down the old cemeteries are getting. There were more broken headstones than I ever remember seeing. It's very interesting to wander around and see how old some of the graves are. We picked up Fred's mom to take to the main service where the whole town turns out. It was a good morning. When we got home, it was back over to the pool. It still looks like pond water, but we've been afraid to run the pump when we're not around, so it hasn't been on as much as I'd like. Tomorrow, Fred will be gone all day, but I'll be around, so I'll run it and go check on it every few hours. The goal is to see the bottom so we can run the vacuum.

I have a heck of a "do list" for tomorrow. Going to start the day at the gym and go from there.

Moving pace was 16.8mph. Still need to enable auto-pause on the Garmin :-P

Drove to Jason's house and we went west on Center to 262nd St, North to Maple, East to the TT course, did the TT course, then East into Elkhorn and South on Skyline to his house. He was hurting real bad but I was feeling good! Quite the opposite of this same ride last year when he and Ray kicked my buns and I was hurting by the end.

Had to work today since I'm so busy. Did 3 inspections and have a report out already with one more that's "due" today (as due as it can be with nobody on the other end to receive it... it's all automated though and they'll ding me for turning it in late).

Oh and I sold Brynn's watch today! Wewt! Forerunner 305 for sale still if anybody else is interested!

Full nights sleep. Took daughter to Memorial Day parade as she was walking with her Girl Scout troop. Then it was off to mow what look like a jungle in the front and back yard. Now it is down time and back to work! Have a final interview for this job on Thursday. I have to start researching and prepping again. Surprised I made it this far!

Good thing about the vacation is that I hardly got depressed. I guess I was too busy taking in the sites to have the critic in my head go rampant. Now it is back to the old !
