Gorgeous run at Stony today...Cath raced and I did my run from Thursday...a shortie, but goodie. Saw a beautiful young buck from about 5 feet away and the leaves falling from the trees were just magic. Waited for Cath at the finish line and the winds whipped up, the clouds came out and I was glad to not be racing in that! Of course she did great and won her ag. Stud. We froze waiting for EVER for her to get her award. We got some chat time in, which I've missed. Worth it!


Dave made ribs and chicken and I roasted up brussel spouts and cauliflower I'd picked up from the farm stand on the way home from the park. NOM!

Tonight I went to see Patrick march and had a drink with the Buchers while they had dinner. Really nice fall day and evening. :)

The day was rather chaotic and I was just going to go biking as I left the house a little bit upset over a religious matter. I wanted to check the evidence and ended up talking about this for too long. Thennnn...... We were planning to have dinner outside of the house, then inside of the house and ended up at Taco Bell.

Because we were going to this lecture, but ended up not going.

I think I'm so stressed out because of doing too much lately. At least of what I'm supposed to be doing.

Swimming was a disaster this morning, was too tired to do freestyle and did chest crawl instead. Bizarre really, but my heart rate also went up too much.

I got there early so I did about 2 - 2.5 miles on my own.  We were supposed to do 4 as a group but the consensus from the running apps said we did around 3.7.  I am guessing in the middle of the range.  Fun, we did most of the loop from the other night without the trip over to the high school..  Next week we are running at Henricus park.
I was able to keep the kid in my sights about 200 yards ahead of me the whole time, progress.....Old Milt stayed right on my feet.  He's mid to late 60's and has a long health history--he referees soccer part time and is good at that final sprint to finish.  
Getting some work done then going out on the bike.  Such a gorgeous day for a ride!!  Traffic was not cooperative for me to go out my usual way so I took my route in reverse.  I think the hills were worse  this way.  My quads are so fried!  My feet had bad hot spots, had to stop around 20 miles to fiddle with the shoes to see i[...]

Out of the Darkness

Not a good day today.  My L trochanter area has been hurting for the past couple days, which usually means I need to do some more work with my roller on my ITB/glutes/hammy/piraformis.  I did that last night before dinner, then during dinner I had what felt like a huge cramp in my L glute/hammy/piraformis area.  I stretched it but it still kept hurting.  I woke up every hour during the night because it was throbbing so bad and it still really hurts today so I skipped training club this morning.  It's weird because I rested Thursday and yesterday except for the stairs.  I'm icing and taking Tylenol and my regular Rx NSAID and plan to rest for the next few days.  I'm really hoping this is just a little passing phase and not something major, but I'm honestly kind of scared because it came on so suddenly and hurts so bad.  Keeping my fingers crossed and trying not to assume the worst.
