Slept all afternoon yesterday and didn't have any trouble sleeping last night. You'd think I'd be caught up, but I'm still tired this morning. Walking first thing with my friend, then heading to the gym for my trainer workout. Hopefully that will be enough to wake me up and get moving because I plan to get a lot of accomplished over this long weekend. Going to start on the bathroom today. Need to take everything out of the cabinets and drawers and get things ready to paint. I'd like to get a coat on the walls and shelves today and a second tomorrow. Saturday, I'd like to do the prep on the hallway and paint it on Sunday. I keep going back and forth whether or not to paint the hallway, but it's just shabby enough looking that I know I'll be happy that I did it.

One of the coaches for the swim team at the pool I go to is starting a masters swim program. Just got the info - practices 5 days a week in the early morning 5:30-6:30 3 days and 6-7 two days. Times I could work with. Emphasis on competitive swimming hosting and going to master's swim meets. No interested in this at all but I just won't participate. Extra fees are a total no go though - $50 annual for USA Masters Swim plus an additional $35 monthly fee. Boo, no can do. The only reason I even join this center is for the pool. I don't use it for anything else and that is already costing me $500/year. This fee would add another $470 just to swim. I know it would probably make me a much better swimmer and help my stroke and I'd be faster but I'm not trying to compete with anyone. I'm just getting some exercise. Bummed though.

Guess what time it is? Time for the return of my favorite waste of time and brain cells, The Bachelorette! Yes indeed, see the "journey" as our bachelorette meets 31 of the "most eligible" bachelors America has to offer. AKA, 25 nut jobs, 5 clueless wonders and one guy who is on the fence. You would think that out of 31 dudes, we might be able to come up with more than 5 seemingly normal people, but no, this is TV production my friends, and we need to bring the DRAMA!!

Bike to work, what worked:  packing cube for clothes! lucked out getting on a quick road to the gym once downtown (and didn't get run over) easy to park bike near gym shower stuff is nice, so I don't need to bring shampoo, etc. bag was easy enough to carry leaving at 7 was sufficiently early
Bike to work, what didn't work: Felt like a heavy brick on the bike,  need to ride more! and lose weight! Route from gym to office with bike was stupid.  Consider leaving bike by gym. 
I really need to bike more, that was way harder than it should have been.  Fortunately it's donut day at work!  Woot!

Back is not doing as well this morning. 
I am thinking of starting a strength program from beach body Monday.  Need one with a fairly consistent core program that doesn't stress the back.  The strength work I have been doing includes weights, I just find a way to do it in a way that doesn't load the weights onto the back using cables or seated sets.
