Had allergy shots this morning.  With the commute to the office it makes me a lot later than when I am working from home......Two women in the waiting room talked NONSTOP while we were waiting.  John was glad I walked out immediately aftere getting my shots cause he didn't want to listen to them any longer.....we drove together cause he is doing some office stuff while most of the other administrators are off & he won't be interrupted.  Plus we're going to Whole Foods after work .

This morning, the team sent out emails about possibly adding an additional spring marathon to the mix, since there will be no mid-summer peak next year.  And I'm 98% convinced I'm doing IMMD next Oct.  I'm already signed up for Zion - same weekend as DC RnR, so same training plan as team - and we are voting between C'Ville, Raleigh, Pittsburgh and Flying Pig.  Now I am questioning whether I should attempt to do a full marathon in the spring.  I'd always said that my next marathon would come at the end of Ironman, and maybe I shouldn't be thinking this hard about it but...
here is my reasoning FOR doing a marathon:
1) good way to ensure a lot of running over the winter
2) a better marathon time might make me feel better going into Ironman training - previous marathon time is 7:15
my reasoning for NOT doing a marathon:
1) I'm not a runner, so would I be risking injury too much - stress fracture at that last marathon which is hopefully what contribute[...]

Rest day. I don't really "deserve" a rest day, but half marathon training starts on Monday and I just didn't feel like doing much this morning.

Took some unofficial body measurements this morning and was pleased. Apparently the majority of the muscle growth occurs after the program is complete as the body super compensates for all the stress incurred in the last 8 days of overreaching.  So I am taking at least 5 full days off from lifting and I get to continue to eat over the holiday weekend.
Heading north now.  My brother is coming home to visit so I get to see my niece for the first time! I'm excited!

Mi40x is complete! Hammered the legs again today with some 4 move and 5 move supersets. Then ended with:

Every minute:
A) SB Power squat clean x3
B) Sitouts remainder of the minute
Repeat until 150 sitouts are done - Took me 6:51

decent ride.  the achievement of the day may be completing it.  I was so tired it was tempting to not ride, then to leave out the intervals.  did the workout as scripted.  still feel tired, but legs feel a little better after the ride, roll and stretch.
Going to run long in the morning before heading to Richmond.  Long ride on Monday instead of Sunday since we will be moving William in at Washington & Lee on Sunday.  that will be a long day, so Monday will be interesting.

6:37am:  Well, helloooooo long weekend!  So nice to see you!  Looking forward to a pretty laid-back weekend, relaxing, recharging and getting some stuff done.  And then next week will be a change in routine:  I'm on jury duty.  I have to call later today to find out if I have to report Monday morning.  I'll either be at the courthouse or working from home all week.
Vet appointment went fairly well.  The big bump on Belle's cheek is just an infection from getting scratched/bitten by Clarke (they had a very small dust-up 2 weeks ago) and antibiotics will take care of it.  For her storm/loud noise anxiety, we're going to try a low level of Prozac -- it's worked well for Clarke, and so we figured we'd give it a try.  Also will have some Xanex on hand for the really bad storms.  I love my "special" dogs.  :)
Probably an interval run after work tonight.  And probably on the treadmill because it's going to be either stormi[...]

The guy I liked introduced me to his girlfriend last night.  While I sort of know about it, it still sucks.

Considering running my 18 miles solo tomorrow. The group is meeting, of course, and one of the gals in my smaller group has a plan to do three, 6-mile segments (from her house, to the group for 6, and back) which is pretty appealing to me. But I'm still kind of jaded from the last few weeks and think a long solo run might do me good.
Last night I had a hallucination and actually hit the "panic" button on my home security system. I have hallucinated before in the middle of the night, but it is typically just spiders and bugs and such. Last night it was a man standing outside my bedroom window with an ax, ready to break it. Logical Lisa would have immediately known that with my blinds closed you can't see outside that clearly, plus the man would have had to be on a ladder to be at that height (unlikely). Also an ax is just such an outdated way to break a window. But my sleep-thick, eyes-half-closed, hallucinating-brain told every part of my being that I was in imminent danger. [...]

And once again my life and all my plans get riotously tossed up in the air like so much confetti (I'd rather have spaghetti ... )
Anyway I have to leave the country for at least 7 working days for legal reasons. And I have to leave NOW (that is first thing tomorrow morning). So I get to see Kingsley! Yay!
And freeze my butt off with STACE FACE this Sunday in the 12K ... yay! (I'm going to cycle to her house. It's on top of a hill. A 10K hill. JOY)
I get back, do a multi-city Indonesian whirlwind (all while still training for IM Malaysia, a couple training races in that time too) then hopefully don't die at IMM, then two days after I get back it's off to Germany with Mutti for 3 weeks.
I'm tired just writing all this!

A day of doing next to nothing, a pretty good massage followed by half an hour in the sauna and an evening (short one) of music with friends and a couple of glasses of red wine = my back feels much better. However, I can't spend every day like that. Today, I am going to do a little bit of stretching/foam rolling and get a short spin bike ride in and see how it goes. Not too much, though when my back feels better, I feel guilt for not working out more.
