In the office this morning, then heading out with the newly repaired mower to clear brush along the creek. I'd love to be able to walk along both sides of the creek this summer. Today, I'll work on an area at the bottom of the hill from the mil's house (where we'll eventually move). It would be very cool to see the creek from the back porch.

Was at the Y and ready to swim this morning. As they opened the doors at 5:00, the employee stated that the lap pool was closed due to chemical imbalance and they were not sure when it would open. I had an appointment at 7:00 for my car to have a recall with the airbag repaired, so I didn't have a sport bra, shorts, etc with me to lift or do anything else. I had planned on swimming and then leaving from there directly to the car appointment. :-( I had to go home. Didn't have enough time to get on the trainer. I tried to take a nap on the couch, but I was not able to fall asleep. What a waste of a morning. Also bummed because I have a hair appointment for highlights on Thursday evening, so I will not swim Friday morning. It looks like it might be only 1 swim this week.

Incision update - it is basically healed, but there is still a small hole that is not closed. Clear fluid occasionally drains from this. Strange. If the ocean temp is up to 60 degrees, then I think I will be[...]

Stomach is still complaining a bit but things are definitely improving. Had some soup for lunch yesterday and after that, felt much better.

Taking a rest day. I am feeling aches and pains and tired all the time.
I have been kind of looking around at a schedule to follow not to prep for any particular race but to plan my workouts better. I stink at following a workout schedule though.
Here are a couple of photos from yesterday.

9:05 AM: Lifting at lunchtime. Or something in the middle of the day here.... then maybe a swim? Or maybe my 4 mile walk? Don't know. We'll see how things shape up. Chris has a full rest day. This is very unusual.

No social commitments on the schedule this week. This is good. Possible happy hour on Friday, but I don't know if I'm going to go or not. I work from home on Fridays and the thought of getting all showered and dressed and GOING OUT is sort of... Meh. We'll see.

Sort of abbreviated. Had a very awkward conversation with a woman that is barely an acquaintance about losing our baby. She apparently didn't know that we lost the baby. I think the last time I saw her I may have been pregnant... it was that long ago. Anyway, she proceeded to ask me why we don't pursue having children if it's what we want? And then she asked me why w[...]

Weekend was a mix of doing house stuff and chilling out. I started on the basement, but got overwhelmed really fast. Got probably 8 black trash bags out to the curb and was covered in spiderwebs so called it quits. But I did finish cleaning out the kitchen cabinets (2 more trash bags). Went to At Home again and got some more pillows and string lights for the sunroom, and tried to get a new shade for my IKEA light. The existing shade was really big and my realtor said it took away from the room. But the shade I bought didn't work (of course). Bought a pretty spring wreath for the front door. Did more paint touch up in the bedroom and bathroom. Watched a bunch of basketball. Meh.
Other updates: I did get an email Friday that said I was moving forward in the role that I haven't interviewed for yet, so that was perplexing. Like they just skipped the phone screening for that one? My boss said they might have considered my first screening good for both roles, which would make sense. I kn[...]

Tomorrow is the last day of CDF. I think I will move into the hybrid plan of CDF next--it alternates MMA workouts with some from other series such as Insanity, T25, P90 and Hammer & Chisel.

Think I will drop the Cize, just not meant to do those moves and I feel like I'm mailing in the workouts in order to catch on to the choreography. Might add 22 minute Hard Corps in place.
With the 10K on Saturday, I think I am going to just focus on yoga after my CDF finishes tomorrow then resume the CDF hybrid / 22 min hard corps next week.

Need to be running 4.5 miles at some point today. Gotta finish up one last report, hopefully inspect a property, and then I'll be done for the day. Not looking good for getting all that done.

I CNA'd Friday 5-10:30pm and Saturday 2-10:30pm, but that still left all of Sunday to enjoy some weekend. We slept in then went to Missoula for project materials. We need to replace the majority of the wood trim on the house which will then also need painted, which of course means painting the entire house. It's stucco so in some ways that's easier, but the two-story factor is going to be a beast. We ended up buying two tiers of scaffolding. By the time we drive an hour to rent some and an hour back and rent it for several weeks we aren't coming out too far behind on the $350 cost. Add in that owning it will mean we can work around the weather and our work schedules better and I don't think it was the worst investment ever. Our neighbor (that we borrowed the pole saw from last week) was especially excited about the prospect of borrowing it :) and did lend us some rope and straps to secure it to trees. It's going to be a bit of an acrobatic feat even with it, but least it's almost nev[...]
