Stats taken after run and before dinner, %water 70.4, muscle 39.3, bone 4.1. Pretty much followed the plan though I was going to go to the gym right after work but there was an accident on post blocking the way. So, decided just to run there, do strength, and run back. Then run to the track and do the interval workout. This worked out pretty well. Nice evening tonight with bright sunshine, pleasant temps, and low humidity...well, the last two are not very conducive to training in heat. Really is quite unusual weather we're having. If I could count on it continuing for the rest of the summer or even be at Louisville during the race, I'd be okay with it. Afraid it will be like Eagleman in 2008...cool leading up to the race and then blazing hot for the race. Well, deal with it when it's race day.

Tomorrow: Since different wheel and tired held up, an indoor CT ride, supposed to be Z2 for 1:30 except @ :50 insert 30 min Z4. Might do a light run afterwards.

Crappy hip is sore today - not as bad as when it started bothering me originally but definitely worse than it was. Boo. My own fault though. Think I will try to get in for a massage somewhere but decisions decisions. My hair salon is having a special - $17.50 for a 30 min massage which is cheap. Or go back to the therapist who did such a great job on the tendonitis I had in my foot. Hmmm.

Well, now isn't that true.  A hard ride looked at as a fun ride becomes something other than hard.
I'm so excited two days till we fly off to South America to go Skiing!  And then a week in the jungle and beach of Costa Rica.  Both kids and the son's fiance.  Wish us luck that the trip is filled with wonderful memorable experiences, and that we all get along, and travel safe.
I needed a rest day yesterday.  Didn't get my packing done though. My daughter showed up just as I was getting my late dinner together and we visited until time for me to go to bed.  It was good though.  She's been dealing with a crazy (literally) boy friend break up. 
Tonight should be group ride.  I think I'll go but make it real short so that I can pack.  I need to do other than work stuff this afternoon - billing, calls etc.

! There will be no swim before my race. I do not want to think about how long it has been since I have been in the water. No chance of training today and i bet I don't even get a run in before the race. That may be good though, my foot has been a bit tender. Send good ju-ju if you get a chance, I am going to need it.

Swim again today - not quite as consistenly on pace as Monday but some good progress. He had us do a set with descending distance and pace and in the first i kind of ripped off and made it for pretty well all. The first 300 was too fast so i tried to better pace the 200 and didn't quite make it.  The last was an all out 50 before restarting the set.  That second 300 was really tough and a little demoralizing. I couldn't get my form and breathing on track.  But then he asked me how i felt and I told him and he said that was exactly how it was supposed to be.  I was able to make the next 200 which was good.

I finally got my Be Iron Fit (BIF vol 2) by Don Fink and after talking to sbrdave, our Tri Club Prez, he told me I could probably transition from the BT plan I was following to the 18th week (it's a 30 week plan as opposed to BT's plan which is just 20 so I had to pick up at 18th) of either the Just Finish plan or Intermediate plan of the BIF2 book.  I chose the intermediate.
 
So today called for a zone 2 bike/run brick.  It was 45 min bike followed by a quick change of less than 3 minutes, mine was 1 min 30 secs and then a 15 min run.  I biked 52 minutes and ran 26 minutes and made sure my heart rate was at zone 2 but let me tell you there were times I just felt good and when I looked I was at Zone 3 already so I had to tone it down a bit.  I think I'll enjoy this training plan!

Stupidest injury EVER alert... 
Who the heck is able to hurt their knee whilst swimming??  Yep, ME!  Ohmyfreakingawd. 
I finished my swim set last night and as a cool-down decided to do 100m (or what I THOUGHT was 100m and was actually 133.3M) of breast stroke just to finish out, and I got 3/4 of the way through when my stupid right knee popped.  The same knee where I've torn the ACL twice (along with some other fun stuff) and had to have the ACL replaced twice.  
I really hope I haven't done something really bad, but as of this morning it still doesn't feel so great.  I think possibly taking a day off for resting the darned thing is in order... especially after I figured that I should find out just how bad it was by attempting a run this morning, which was called off after 10 minutes and hobbling back to the apartment.
