Home sweet home!!!! It was beyond nice to sleep in my own bed last night, after 10 nights away. I'm too much of a homebody to do more than a week away. I am so glad to be home. Our flight out of O'Hare was delayed 4 hours yesterday, so that made us all extra glad when we finally touched down in Denver. 
We had a great time camping and in Cedar Lake though - definitely nice to get some good R&R. I read 4 books, did a lot of walking and paddle boarding, hung out with the kids. No working, no bikes. It was nice to take a break from the grind. 
Kids are off to Lacrosse camp this morning, so I've got the day to get stuff done. They've never played Lacrosse, but they'll do anything if their friends are involved, lol... Need to track down my framer and figure out what day I can drive to Ft. Collins this week to pick up frames for my MT show. He is an amazing artist when it comes to custom carved frames, but the past few times he made frames for me, it was down to the wire [...]

Been slacking off on training for awhile, so I'm going to kick it into overdrive this week and have a solid training/nutrition week. Trying a new class this morning called barre/mat. It combines isometrics, dance, and pilates. I have no idea if it is within my abilities, but I don't care. I've been wanting to do barre work for years and I'm going to give it a try! I've got three weeks left on my Exercise is Medicine training, so I'm going to fit some classes in my schedule and take advantage of the facilities while I can. I'll have my usual session after class.

Going to a CycleBar class tonight with co-workers. Fancy spin studio - first class is free and otherwise super pricey, so I doubt I'll be back, but we'll see if it lives up to the hype. We have free spin classes in the building where I work for pete's sake, but it's more about getting to know my co-workers tonight.

9:06am: Back in the office. Tomorrow I'll be out again -- studying in the morning and then my certification exam (for the class I took last week) at 12:15pm. The dudes on Reddit whine a LOT about this exam, saying that it's way too difficult for being a foundation exam, which scares me. But as I study and go over the material, I keep thinking, this is mostly just memorization -- how can it be all that tough? I guess my answer will come by about 1pm on Tuesday (it's a 90 minute test, but I rarely take even close to the full amount ... I'm a fast test take ... figure I either know the stuff or I don't ... agonizing isn't going to help).
The humidity has FINALLY lowered a bit. It's almost comfortable out there! Strength training after work, then a walk.

Good workout, challenging but not to the point of being impossible. 
Thing One seems settled into her solo life--she said she meal planned and went to the grocery store...She and the cat are fine, not sure if the boyfriend is there ore not...I am not going to micro manage her life.  If she chooses to live with him or keep a relationship with a loser it is not a reflection on parenting, it's her character choices.

Fuckityfuckfuck!!!!
I had my every-three-month injections in my hand today. This is the third set. The doc says that he thinks I should have the LRTI surgery that I wanted when I first went to him. I know, I know, non-surgical options must be tried out. However, I would be healed by now. Complete or near complete recovery. Now, I will be incapacitated for the rest of the effing year. Just when Hubster is getting better. I think I will schedule the right hand for September if possible. That way I can get it in while the deductible is met. I can also get some stuff done in the month of August before I can't for the rest of the fall. If all goes well, (PLEASE let all go well) I can start most of my HIM training in November as planned.

Hate to say this but I'm kind of ready for school to start. These kids have had enough of one another and are annoying one another just by basically breathing in the same room. I can't seem to think of anything very fun to do that is not require a long drive. Might go to my friends pond and try to fish but they will probably disagree about every little thing the whole way there and whole time we're there!
