Exhaustion is setting in.  He early morning running just could not happen today.  John and I might go to the gym tonight so I would run on the treadmill.  
If I can't get a grip on these hours (and cooperation from my dead legs) I might drop to the 8K.  I have 5-7 more weeks of commuting to the office to train T then K.  There are some high volume weeks in there.  Running 80-90 min before work when I have to drive 40 minutes to get there is just not working.  By the time I get home it's 6 PM and I have to make dinner & clean up dishes so it's after 8PM to get to run.  Will decide soon.In the meantime, I would like to take a nap.
Eye Dr this morning....Dr Ever-so-Late better not be too late.

Starting over

It's the first day of school!  Check FB  a bit later for pic's.  Alex and Liam are really excited.  They were both up around 6:00 chomping at the bit to go.  It is making for a long morning as they are ready and still have an hour and a half to wait. 

I still have Cole home as well as a friend of ours son, M.  It has been a long week already with 5 kids for the past few days and now two kids for the rest of the week.  M has some special needs so it's challenging.  At least he isn't as difficult as Cole so there is that.  I hope they get along today.

Bryan is working on his retirement papers.  It looks like May might be the time frame he's looking at.  Of course this is all assuming it gets approved.  A big if.  It's been denied once so I am a bit more skeptical then Bry is.  Time will tell.
Not much else happening.  I am chomping at the bit to workout.  Soon...

Life in San Diego

Sorry for the lack of responses. Thank you for the inspires.

I arrived back in San Diego last night and had a busy day back to work today. Leaving for Barcelona, Spain for a work trip on Friday morning. Feeling a little crazy. I will post a full race report soon.

This race was FUN! It was a long day, but I relaxed and had a great time. I had so many friends racing, volunteering, or cheering. It was great to come back here for my 10th. I didn't come close to having a PR or a fast race, but I couldn't stop smiling!!! I loved spending time with my friends and sharing the amazing ironman experience.

Left Toronto last night and travelled to my Mother's. Today we begin a 3 day road trip to Peelee Island - 3 generations; mother, daughter and tween granddaughter. Would be way more fun if we had a convertible! Will geocache along the way :)

I'm feeling a lot more optimistic about the school year. I've done so much work the last two years to construct quality lessons AND make them accessible and organized digitally and somehow forgot about all that over the summer. I just have the one "new" class (French I-which I taught it in Kansas, but with different materials) and I made the school order new books and support materials so I shouldn't have to create too much for it. I know exactly what I'm doing the first day (Thursday) so that's a lot of pressure off.
