Finished my painting, ordered a ton of supplies for my upcoming show in the Tetons, got my fancy frame order finalized. Heading out for a ride, then I need to hit the art supply store and the grocery store, and spend the evening packing for the hut trip and picking up for the cleaners. Looking forward to the hut trip! Looks like it's a great spot and we have a few families going who will be fun to hang out with.

I felt like I had forgotten something, since I was in and out about 5 minutes faster. Anyway, as usual the ankle/foot routine is challenging from a balance perspective. The planks are maybe the tiniest bit easier, except for the back plank....which is crazy hard for me still. One more day of this routine and then next week I move up to the next level!

Felt really weird last night after work. I got in the car and switched to my polarized Rx sunglasses and right away felt queasy.  I thought maybe it was the glasses and it subsided well enough that even thought I didn't feel 100%, I was ok and preferred the sunglasses enough to leave them on.  Then I went to Sam's Club and felt weird to the point of sweatiness/dizziness as I was leaving the store.  Once I got outside, I felt a ton better and went home.  That, plus the hubbub around our street being repaved (so I had to park around the corner, talking with neighbors, etc.), my run never happened.  The really dumb thing is that I would have been ok with 2 miles!

Planned to get up early so I could swim AND run before a doc appointment but just could not get up. It was COLD and WINDY all day, the doc took a lot longer than expected and well...i just didn't do the swim. Which I need to do. I don't know what my deal is with swimming on tuesdays!

My girl got really sad last night. I am so frustrated for her. I just want her to be not depressed and have some energy. This is insidious. I am so leary of her going down the rabbit hole if she moves out and I don't see her daily. I hate it.

Our normal pet sitter will be out of town for July 4th week, so I've booked with the person she is using and recommends who happened to turn out to be a former student that I trust. Case is going to be off work for 10 straight days Friday-Sunday and the timing with when my Utah friend is off means we'll head down Friday morning to get in a Saturday hike with her, explore on our own Monday-Thursday while she's working and then go to the Capitol Reef race on Friday. I'm trying not to focus too much on my lack of recent mileage. 

Boot Camp style class at Motive 8 Fitness. I do think the quality/intensity of the workout is better than the other gym although to be fair I haven't gone to the Boot Camp class at the other gym for a more exact comparison. I picked up a CNA shift Thursday so tomorrow is my only other free trial class. For all that I hate to spend any money, if I can get in some consistent strength workouts it'd be worth it. I am a bit taken aback by the news of Pat Summitt's death. I wasn't a close watcher at all, but I did always realize the amount of impact she had for women. Not simply in basketball, not simply in Tennessee, but all women everywhere. She was a true example of the strength, character, and hard work that we should all aspire to. She showed that all of us, gender be damned, had it in us to do whatever the hell we wanted. She made the world a little easier for my two daughters.

OMG, this brain injury thing is real. I voluntarily did this workout instead of riding my bike outside!!!! We'll just ignore the other factors in my decision, like an impending thunderstorm, not enough time for dinner if I rode, not drinking enough water today, a bad/anxious brain day without enough rest, little things like that. :-P

I'm going to have a sore core tomorrow and need to be careful on a couple of the exercise. My L hip flexor isn't thrilled with the supine march or single leg drops. Tomorrow is a short run, then 15 mile ride. I think I'll be ok. Might take some extra Tylenol before bed so it doesn't bother me tonight.

Splurged on this from MEC today:  

I *thought* it was only $140 but she rang it in higher so I got home and checked and ya... $170.  Then unbeknownst to me my dog chewed the little bottle that comes with it so... no exchanging.  HOWEVER... I really like it.  I can use it snowshoeing too as I never bring a bottle and stuff and it even has a place to put poles.  So cool.  I got the bladder to go inside so I can load er up to almost 3 litres though that might be too heavy.  Very eager to try it out this weekend on my long run.  Kind of cool that I can plan runs without having to do loops around my auto-aid station and I'll be hands free!!  I think I'm a wee bit too excited about this.  
In other exciting news my child graduated from Grade 8 this evening and won the graduating class' music award.  I'm a very proud Mama!  I didn't expect that.  I can't believe I'm the mother of a teenager but I'm not sad - rather exci[...]
