since this year is pretty much full - plus i want to sell my house and move and i do wonder what if i sell it and when in the world would i have time to move!!! ha
I was looking at some runs for next year with scenery that would even compare to what I got to see at zion and found the antelope island run in march.....nothing close to zion but i love the buffalo so that would be cool cause they are all over the course. Think I will do it as the 50 miler though and get Heather to come do it as her first 50 miler also.,,, only 5 hours from Amber so she will come play too!! Then was looking at javelina for a fall 100 and amber suggested the Teton/yellowstone 100 and that looks amazing beautiful!! Its end of sept this year so prolly the same period next year....says road race so if i see its gravel rather then concrete that the one and will get to do with amber also!! Dont think my knee could handle 100 miles of ALL concrete so will read some reports etc.

Thursday brick. indoors.  had serious thoughts of bundling up and riding outside, but i just couldn't make that leap.  legs are tired, though they worked pretty hard on the bike.  Second half of the bike was all over 130 hr.  just took about 15 minutes to get it up to 120.  Run was fine.  legs felt fine. rest of the body was wiped.
Will try to get yesterday's swim in sometime today.  Friends called to meet after work yesterday, so that happened instead of the swim.

6:53am:  Another day in paradise.  Of course, it's Thursday and not Friday, which was a little disappointing when I realized it.
Seems it looks like I'm taking this week off from training, from all that yellow over there.  Supposed to have a trainer beatdown this afternoon, so maybe that'll change.
Ever since getting done with all that studying and testing, I've been absolutely plowing through books and enjoying it to no end! I love having the freedom of time to spend on things I want to do -- it's a gift beyond compare.

Killer Crossfit workout........deadlift, then rounds by time - t2b, burpees, pullups, jump rope, wall balls, and kettle swings......no rest. Super hard.....couldn't get through the pullups.

The person who invented the Tabata-style workout needs to be kicked in the shins... Tabata
The short version is that it's 8 rounds of 20 seconds MAX followed by 10 seconds of rest for 8 different exercises.  OH.MY.FREAKIN.GAWD  is all I really have to say about that. 
WU:  various running drills with the band around my ankles/knees
MS1:  Tabata.  Sucks.  
Squats
Step-ups on 18" step
Standing rows with the TRX bands
Dead-lifts with 25lb KB
Burpees
Pull-ups
Plank to push-ups
Ab holds with 10lb medicine ball

MS2: Tabata. REALLY. Sucks

So.. I accepted the offer from Raytheon after they gave me the extra week vacation and a little more money then I had asked for.  This was Friday though and I haven't heard back from them.. strange?  We are still waiting on the approval from the government to proceed, but still.. and of course, the day after I accept this offer, I get an email from another company (a smaller company that I'd really like to work for) about a contract they are bidding on that he'd want me to PM for.  Sounds like a great opportunity, but they won't know until June/July if that will get awarded... talk about sucky timing!
