Took a rest day yesterday and it felt great. Not only did I get some things knocked off the to-do list around the house, but I didn't miss the pseudo-stress of trying to fit a workout in.

Went out into the garden and started weeding the area that I neglected (where lettuce and spinach need to be planted this fall) and was immediately attacked by mosquitoes. Ugh...I think I waited too late in the day to try that. Might give it another shot tonight. There's still time, it's just unsightly.

bazen je u remontu a nisam otišla na salatu umjesto toga. prosli tjedan je bilo zahladilo i padala kisa pa ne znam je li uopce bio otvoren. nisam kupila pokaz za 8.mj. bila sam u biti dosta lose i prvi tjedan odmaranja mi je bas dobro dosao ali drugi je bio previse odmaranja. jucer sam bila tamo i zabolila me glava, ne pase mi rasvjeta ili veliki ekran, (mislila sam da se relaksiram videom a u stvari premarala oci), popodne djeca vicu na cesti ne mogla zaspati, na koncu morala navecer uzeti voltaren i prekinuti bezugljikohidratna 2 dana, pojela bananu uz voltaren.

dva dana osim te banane na kraju bez ugljikohidrata - puno bolje, veca razina energije, prvi dan baš dobra energija ali me m. poklopio, ovaj put sam se precizno izrazila pa cemo vidjeti što ce biti slijedeci put. kad i izgradim energiju ne uložim je u sebe.

nisam se mjerila prije ali sam sigurna da je bilo više. drugi put trebam puno više povrca. junece kockice s posla nisu bile dobr[...]

First time I've looked at my log here in a few weeks. Automatic uploader from other logging sites is putting in all my info. Yep. Still dead around here.

While I'm enjoying getting back to being consistent with training, it's not the same without other people who are doing the same thing. We're still new enough in Austin that I don't really know many other people yet and my job pretty much isolates me, so it's a bit of a lonely existence right now. Some pretty major things about the move have hit me pretty hard in the last week or so too. But I have my health and my family. It'll get better at some point.

Cleaned house some and cuddled with the pets when we got home from CDA today. I'll have to get Sadie into the vet pretty quick for a possible ear infection. I have found an annoying, but effective work around for getting BT pics to post the right direction. The secret you ask? Screenshot with phone turned for landscape mode.

Day 1

Gosh, I can't remember my last race. A very slow Turkey Trot with my daughter last year? That may have been my only race in 2015. The year before was a good one... PR's in the 5K (nearly broke 20 minutes!) and the half marathon but then all of a sudden developed tightness in both heels not to mention a little nagging problem in my left Achilles. Took some time off. Did some dedicated (albeit short in distance) trail runs with my dog Harper, then changed up and got back into yoga every Thursday, then school let out and yoga wasn't convenient and it was too hot for Harper, so I got out on the road bike for quite a bit in hopes of a race that never panned out, then a trip to Charleston, then Colorado where I did some downhill mountain biking. I've been literally and metaphorically all over the place. The shoulder is still not quite right but, it's not like I'd ever elect surgery, so I'm going out on a limb here and will say I'm hoping to train up for a sprint triathlon October 1.[...]

The office John is working out of is less than 3 miles from the hotel.  I dropped him off this morning and went to the mall for a while.  Walked around it until it opened....Nice mall anyway.  There's a Whole Foods across the street from it, may wind up there for lunch.

The hotel is okay...but man the noise of the air conditioner kept me awake ALL NIGHT.  John said the traffic noises kept him awake.  They didn't disturb me nearly as much as the cycle of the AC....however, turning it off would have resulted in sweating to death.

YAY, mad props to Speedo for dropping Liar Lochte from their payroll and donating part of his salary to a children's program in Brazil.  Best possible solution, they are rid of the jerk, he's hit in his wallet, and needy children are taken care of--even if it's a short time..HA, Ralph Lauren and Airweave have also dropped him.  Perfect.
