Tired this morning. The work meeting was really, really good, but exhausting. It was wonderful that my work team had the meeting in San Diego. It was extra work for me to help with the logistics, food, agenda, etc, but good. Although work can be high pressure and stressful, I feel like a valuable member of the team and am recognized for my efforts. This goes such a long way!!!!!

I skipped my interval run that was to be done after the swim. Behind on work and was not feeling it. Doc appointment and grocery shopping later today. Of course now the area is starting to heal again - I am keeping the appointment.

Two days of traveling, which probably gave me 3 miles of walking each day between the airport trek, getting to and from the office from the parking garage, and walking around the building.  My feet hurt and I have blisters.  Back held out OK -  didn't love the confined space on the airplane but I did better than I expected throwing my stuff around, especially on the return trip.  Slept over 9 hours Wednesday night I was so exhausted.  I'm a little cooked today so I'll just walk around the neighborhood a bit since it's supposed to be 75 degrees today.  Bike/pool tomorrow morning and I'll probably sit in the hot tub for a few minutes afterwards.

OMG, such a morning. Owen was up late last night so I *knew* he would be tired and slow today. Then it snowed overnight, which wasn't forecast until tomorrow, so I was running around trying to find snow clothes and his boots were MIA, which caused a major standoff about footwear for school. We ended up being 10 minutes late for school, after I finally lost my cool and yelled at him to get his shoes on, making him meltdown more (mom fail). Dropped him off and of course, his boots are at school. Crisis averted, but now he's cranky and I'm on the verge of my own meltdown.
Sigh. I need a nap. I feel like I'm juggling a lot lately with art stuff, parenting, social stuff all the f-ing time, and managing the mountain bike team while trying to maintain my own training. Need to simplify a bit.
In good news, I just found out I got a painting accepted into the OPA national show. I have been rejected from this show so many times that I'm always a bit nervous when they post the list. I don't[...]

stuffed up/sore throat again in am and a lot in pm. :( Just want to be better!

Not getting in all the food for the plan. Hard...a lot of food!

The girl made fabulous ramen soup for dinner ( I added lots of veggies to round it out for me) after we challenged them to make our supper Tuesday. The kids both complained we make a lot of marinated chicken breast and are BORING. Well, make dinner for 30 years and you just might get a little routine! So we challenged them both to make a dinner that was healthy, had protein, veggies and carbs for US. The boy will have to make one too. He helped pick the soup, but did no prep, cooking or shopping. He's next. I think its a good idea for them to get a few meals in their OWN rotation for when they live on their own (again for the girl and someday for the boy)

The swelling has continued to improve. I am back at work today. No real workout planned with a 45 minute walk on tap. I will try to do something tomorrow.  The issue will be getting the sports bra on without hurting my hand.  Good thing that I'm not a DD., huh?
Zoe is at VSH today. She may be able to come home tonight. When she comes home, the plan is to have her on a mild sedative to keep her calm for the first week or two.  Please continue to keep Zoe Puppy in your thoughts. 
UPDATE: Kevin had an update from VSH (he is the contact because he checked her in while I was in the ER).  They said that Zoe is doing well. She is off all IVs and is eating and drinking fine. She is tolerating oral pills and is "not uncomfortable" and getting around close to normal. She is not longer exhibiting pain 'anticipatory' behaviors and she is no longer crying when going to the bathroom.
