ACK!!!  Where's the Manatee group???  Is it that time of year already?  Holy crap on a cracker - when did that happen?
Annnnd, just like that the morning mojo got up and went.  Well, not entirely - I still got up, and went to the loo, and then went back to bed.  :)
It's ok though, Tony and I have our first walk-through of the house today at 3:30pm and then after that we're headed to the gym and I'm determined to get both a swim and maybe a spin class done today.  WOOT!
A question for anyone that comes by here and reads my ramblings...  how do you handle stress?  More than just the everyday stresses of work, traffic, etc., but the big life stresses like buying a house, immigration, trying to get a downpayment together in a month, trying to get out of the lease at the apartment building you HATE living in no matter if you get the aforementioned house or not... and, of course, having all of these things happening at once.[...]

This week has been something else. Not sure what my problem is. Have just been spending an hour or so crying each night. As in my heart actually hurting. Way weird.
Today is our 15th anniversary. Apparently Hallmark actually makes a specific card for this that my Mom sent. Case left a card for me that was nice, but it's hard to tell since I know he doesn't necessarily read them, just looks at the picture .

Tired this morning.  Chase was up twice last night, so my sleep was in 3.5, 2, and 1.5 hour segments.  Had to drag myself to and through the gym a bit this morning but it still felt good to get a workout in.

3x10: low cable row, cable rope triceps pushdown, incl chest fly, bicep curls, sumo squat to high pull, military press, squat; 3x(15 pushups, 15 ex ball med ball crunches, 20 russian twists), 2x1:00 bosu planks

Today is my last day of work for the year.  The university is closed the 24th-5th (mostly holidays with two mandatory vacation days in there on 12/29 and 1/2).  As you know, my vacation was messed up by the accident/surgery in September and I had three days left so I'm taking tomorrow as well as the 22nd and 23rd off.
In terms of training, today is a rest day.  I'll do TRX, etc. tonight when I do my PT.

P90X3 - Day 54
I ran first then did the pilates.  I cut it a bit short as there were a lot of sphynx type planks and it was aggravating my shoulders.  I suppose I could have modified, but I was running late to begin with.

"There really are no finish lines. Runs end; running doesn't" Dean Karnazes
Late night yesterday. I made one more adjustment to the plan, and I believe that my run days are finally in line with my life schedule. Today was stretch and core. More of that later tonight.

Christmas break is so close I can almost taste it and it tastes like eggnog and cookies!  Two early-out days and I am done, Done, DONE... I had hoped to spend this afternoon doing my Christmas shopping but got an anxious call from my daughter last night that when she went to the daycare to pick up her youngest they had posted a sign on the door that they would be closed today for deep cleaning due to flu and germs.  This is not the first time this daycare has done this!!!  She absolutely could not take off work, so she managed to find someone to watch him this morning and then I will have him at 1:00, hopefully ready for a nap, ha ha!  He is adorable, but a real handful and jibber jabbers constantly... "Gamma, gamma, gamma, gamma..." LOL!  Why they don't pay their employees overtime and clean the place afterhours, or hire someone to do it overnight, I don't know.  But to find out at 5:15 that they are closed the next day is just crap.  It's not[...]

Pub night after swim tonight.  Truth be told, I am pretty tired.  Felicity has slept through the night the last few nights and it's been awesome but i feel just as tired even though it's great to get good sleep too.
Things have slowed down at work. I still have a bunch to do but the urgency is not there.  Lots to do for the holidays still.
I made this winter salad last night. Decently tasty. I have a better roasted veg salad recipe from the Rachael Ray mag from a few years ago. Might mash them up one day. Not a terribly complicated thing to do.  The recipe calls for turkey bacon. I don't believe in turkey bacon. I used real bacon.  I don't usually use the microwave to cook it but it was pretty fast and now my microwave smells like maple macon.  Blessing?
But definitely needed to have salad for dinner after a crazy weekend of bbq from Marky and Sparky's, the meat fest of Medieval Times and then Swiss Chalet ribs and fries on M[...]

10:39 AM: Sooooooooo... woke up in the middle of the night last night with arthritis pain in my knee so bad that it was making me sweat. Decided that today I'm going to call the HMO and see if I can somehow get back into my ORIGINAL ortho and get a cortisone injection to tide me over til I can get into the big guy. HMO says no. I will need another PCP appointment, another referral and another Ortho Appt at their ortho. Whoever is associated with their medical group. I am about to rip my hair out.
I have never done anything this complex before in my life. Here. There. This referral. That doctor. That group. This doctor. Blah blah blah. Let the record reflect I will *never* sign up for an HMO again. No matter what. I had a stupid experience with the HMO in the 1990s and I am having a stupid experience with them now. Never. Again. NO NO NO.
