So yesterday there were kick sets during the swimmy swimmy, and today I'm feeling a bit sore on the top of my thigh at the front, basically the crease to my hip. I'm hoping this means I kicked my little tail off yesterday!

Felt great to sleep in my own bed. There were bad storms with tornadoes and damaging winds about 40 miles to the northwest of us. Hopefully there were no injuries.

Busy week of swim lessons this week. What started out as lessons for one little boy has turned into a part time summer job! I have 3 group lessons and a few private lesson this week - 14 kids total this week. And I only offered lessons to the neighborhood kids on our private FB page.
Think I am going to take the day off of training. The air temp is a lot cooler than the pool water and I was just cold and uncomfortable all day. Just want to sit here under the blanket and try to be warm.

Tri group run tonight.  I haven't run in a week, I've been babying my achilles which complained during and after last week's run.  I skipped foam roller a couple of nights and should not have.
 
Happy because I got most of the to -do things on my weekend list done.  Didn't get shoes or sunglasses, but You've got to have something for next week, right?  Not having a girlfriend leaves time to do other things.  I'd rather be doing her.  Next weekend I'll trek over to Austin to visit.    Having doubts as to having a long distance relationship.  I sure enjoy being with her, there are just too many things that don't work.

A little tired from Friday's ultimate frisbee/football game.
I'm glad to be back into Ironman training, but this week it's going to be fairly low on the volume as we're going to go up to the Grand Canyon on Friday. I'll pick it back up next week, and may even race on the 11th. We'll see.

I ran this morning, and Saturday as well. Running and I have begun a tenuous relationship at best. I have never been fast, but lately, it has hurt. So, I took time off and ran only a few days a week. I'm not sure that has helped much, so I am going to fight running pain with more running. More often anyway. I'll see how this works over the next few weeks, and maintain a nightly stretching regiment as well.
